Chapter 1 - the beginning

In a futuristic village at the pinnacle of technological advancement, there stood an academy renowned for cultivating talented young women, honing their skills, and preparing them for the challenges of tomorrow. Despite the technological marvels surrounding it—surveillance drones, automated streets, and smart homes—the village retained a warm, harmonious atmosphere, blending seamlessly with the natural world around it.

Among the academy's elite was Hazel, a senior student admired by all. With long silver hair and a calm yet commanding presence, Hazel was the embodiment of what many juniors aspired to be. Not only was she an expert in cutting-edge technologies, but she also possessed a unique skill known as 'Techno-Code,' the ability to control devices through thought alone.

One morning, Hazel was tasked with guiding a group of juniors through a practical exam. In that group was Rune, a clumsy but highly promising student. She was captivated by Hazel's prowess and determined to prove herself in front of her senior.

As the exam commenced, the students faced a virtual reality simulation that recreated the harsh conditions of an alien planet. Each student had to collaborate to complete the simulated mission. However, midway through, an unexpected disturbance occurred. The virtual system began to malfunction, and the students found themselves trapped inside what was supposed to be a controlled environment.

Rune, panic rising in her chest, looked to Hazel for guidance. With calm precision, Hazel used her Techno-Code to stabilize part of the system, but the issue was far more complex than anticipated. They needed to find the root cause of the disturbance before the simulation became a permanent prison.

As the crisis escalated, Hazel suddenly realized something was amiss within the academy's systems. This wasn't just a simple exam—there was an external force trying to hack and take control of the entire village.

"Everyone, stay calm. Follow my lead," Hazel commanded, formulating a plan to save them all.

Hazel glanced at the students as they began preparing their simulation gear. "Before we begin, you'll need to input your data with my friend, Olivia," she instructed in a calm yet firm tone. "She's responsible for making sure all systems run smoothly and participant information is properly recorded."

Olivia was one of the academy's best technicians, a girl with short, dark blue hair who was always deeply focused on her holographic screen. Although she rarely worked on the front lines, her role was crucial in every mission, ensuring the village and academy's technology functioned flawlessly behind the scenes.

The students approached Olivia's desk, entering their information into the advanced terminal under her supervision. Rune, still in awe of Hazel's authority, nervously stepped up to Olivia to input her data. "Is this right?" she asked hesitantly, pointing at the screen.

Without looking up from her holographic display, Olivia nodded. "Yes, make sure all your data is valid. If not, you might not be able to exit the simulation safely."

Rune swallowed hard. Olivia's words felt like a serious warning, as if this simulation wasn't just a regular test.

Once all the data was collected, Hazel stood before them. "Alright, we're ready to start. Prepare yourselves—this may be more complicated than you expect." With a wave of her hand, Hazel activated the simulation system, and the world around them began to fade, replaced by the alien landscape of a storm-ravaged planet.

But suddenly, the system trembled more violently than before. Olivia, monitoring remotely, noticed strange activity within the academy's network. "Hazel, we've got a big problem. Something or someone is trying to hack into our system," Olivia reported through a private communication channel.

Hazel frowned. "Keep monitoring, Olivia. I'll handle things on this end."

As the simulation grew more chaotic, Rune and her fellow students had to work together, guided by Hazel, to survive and find a way out of the broken system.

Hazel looked toward Olivia through the holographic screen. "What are the participants' names?" she asked, her voice calm but attentive. "And remember, they all have to be female."

Olivia glanced at the monitor and began checking the entered data. "Here's the full list," she said, projecting the names into the air.

1. Sakura Hoshizaki – An expert in sensory technology and surveillance. Although she's quiet, Sakura excels at detecting anomalies in her surroundings.

2. Aiko Kisaragi – With long black hair and a cheerful demeanor, Aiko is a system repair specialist. She's known for being able to restore broken systems with just a few lines of code.

3. Miyu Tsukishiro – Known for her exceptional skills in AI, Miyu is serious but capable of creating adaptive AI programs even in the toughest situations.

4. Renka Kazehaya – A tactical specialist with a military background. Renka is proficient in virtual combat and always finds the best strategy to defeat enemies in simulations.

5. Natsumi Arisaka – A cheerful girl who specializes in navigation and mapping. Natsumi can quickly read even the most complex terrains, making her the group's best navigator.

Olivia continued, "Everything's set, Hazel. You just need to give them further instructions."

Hazel nodded. "Alright. All participants are verified. Now let's begin this mission with caution. Stay focused, and remember—this simulation could quickly become dangerous with unpredictable situations."

Sakura, Aiko, Miyu, Renka, and Natsumi exchanged glances, fully aware of the mission's gravity. Hazel watched them with confidence. "This isn't just about passing a test. Something much bigger is happening, and we need to be ready for whatever comes."
