Laston and Razor shared a bed at the inn while Lynx had a bed all to himself.
As soon as they woke up, Lynx brought out the books he had bought yesterday and handed them to laston.
"These contain different martial arts techniques, as much as I would have loved to stay and practice with you, it would have to wait until I return from the royal capital."
"That would be the best place for me to gather information on the military academy". He then turned to razor "what plans he has concerning him?"
"I'm not so sure but I think he'll be staying with me at least until you get back, so that those thugs won't cause him trouble," Laston responded.
Lynx muttered inwardly after hearing that, "We already have enough problems as it is, and you keep making enemies, you're not yet awoken, At this rate you could die, In this corrupt world, your good heart is a curse"
"These are sword techniques, there are mini-police by faction such as the military academy and other power houses that monitor and monopolize the sharing of this books, do your best to hide it from plain sight."
He then turned to Razor, "make sure he doesn't get into trouble while am away," which Razor nodded his head and smiled, this time genuinely.
Lynx then stared at them for a good minute "I think that's all, I will be taking my leave now, do well to master these techniques by the time I return."
After saying all these to them, he left.
Normally, one would think that Lynx should head for the village exit, but instead, he went to a particular spot where there was a group of boys.
On getting to the group of boys he had a nonchalant expression, "Take me to your master,"
The boys acted as though he couldn't be heard or seen.
He asked again, but this time with his aura burning brightly, immediately they took him with them to a cabin, where apparently Cregx was.
They knocked on the door and a man who looked to be in his late thirties opened the door. Looking at the boys, and then at lynx, he asked him "So you're the one causing trouble for my boss. He will see you now."
He was then taken inside to meet Cregx.
Cregx stared at Lynx without saying a word, Lynx then proceeded to say, "Razor, do you own him?"
A malicious grin could be seen as Cregx stood up walking close to Lynx, "I wouldn't say I own him but he sure does owe me a lot."
He then handed Cregx a pouch filled with a hundred gold coins. "I believe this will settle the debt and leave you with more to keep."
Cregx, surprised at the money responded, "Yes, he owes me money, but it's nothing more than some silver pieces, but this…this is gold, Unbelievable!" he exclaimed happily.
But Lynx remarked quickly, snapping him back to reality, "But your boys will have to stay away from Razor, and you should start to treat the other boys better."
"Maybe move to a lower-tier village and start a new better life, I doubt you guys will exhaust the money I have given to you no matter how extravagant you may be.
With that being said, I will be taking my leave, but if you should try to play smart, I will make sure you are hunted down by the royal family!"
Cregx looking at him was shocked at how he suddenly changed from being calm to showing a terrifying amount of murderous intent.
(Murderous intent is a kind of aura that is motivated by blood lust and shows how the level of murderous intention being thought at that point. It can also be powerful enough to be felt by others). He knew he meant every word he said.
Cregx responded in a stiff voice "I might be anything but I don't go back on my words."
Lynx took advantage of the fear he had created and left the cabin, on his way out, he signaled one of the boys to follow him.
When they had moved a safe distance from the house, he handed him 200 silver coins, "I will need you to keep an eye on your boss and provide me with information when I get back".
The boy fearfully responded, "I will give you any information you need, please don't kill me."
"I won't" Lynx responded "Make sure to tell me if his behavior towards you doesn't improve, by the way, what's your name?"
"Lucky"
"Okay then, Lucky, goodbye"
Lynx then left the village for the royal capital.
Back at the inn, Laston and Razor stared at each other idly until Laston brought out the book Lynx had given to him and began to study.
He was so focused on the book that he only raised his head up when he heard a low rumbling sound and realized that it was coming from Razor's stomach.
Surprised he asked him, "How come you are already hungry we just ate some time ago."
Razor smiled and replied by pointing at the windows, Laston looking outside found out that it was night already, and before he could ask what time it was, the midnight bell rang.
"You could have told me what the time was, I was too engrossed on the book to have notice."
He then proceeded to put his palm in the formation on the wall, and in few minutes a knock was heard which was from the receptionist whom he told to help them with dinner.
Before fifteen minutes, their room was filled with different delicacies. In a few minutes, they had cleared everything.
Laston then turned to Razor, "You know you can study these techniques with me"
Razor smiled "Those movements you are studying are advanced and for the awakened and I am only sixteen".
"Sixteen?" Laston stared at him in disbelief because Razor looked like a little kid.
"I might not look it but I really am, it probably has something to do with genetics, when I reach a certain age, I will then grow normally and will then look my age"
"In that case, you can learn sword technique, at least it doesn't require spiritual energy, I think I have seen some movements that you can learn"
Laston then pulled out two swords from his storage bracelet and threw one to Razor.
"Tomorrow we will start practice," Laston said.
They then proceeded to study some techniques but fell asleep shortly after.
They woke up around noon the next day. Laston then proceeded to explain to Razor about the thought bypass matrix.
"I think I already have something like that," Razor said, much to Laston's surprise.
Razor then pointed at the bird statue close to them and said something about an oddly calming feeling he gets when he focuses on the bird.
