Tezcatlipoca was seating around eating an apple, as he saw the sun. "I wonder how Huitzilopochtli is doing".
Kukulkan looked up as her eyes saw the sky. "We should probably check up on him, him and Coyolxauhqui, why do we have such complicated name"
Kukulkan chuckled and looked at him. "Hey at least your not the one who has 3 different names depending on which side of world is worship you unlike me".
As then a portal, as they see the main groups coming. Tezcatlipoca just looked at all them and spoke. "So how did it go".
The group stepped through the portal, weary but contemplative after their journey into Xibalba. Hades was the first to speak, his voice heavy with the weight of the encounter.
"It was... enlightening," Hades said, his usual stoicism flickering for just a moment. "The truth about life and death, the balance... It's more complicated than I thought."
Zeus, his expression pensive, nodded. "It's a lot to digest. I've always believed that we, the gods, hold ultimate power over life and death. But Xibalba... it showed us something different. Perhaps we don't control it as much as we think."
Kukulkan, leaning against a nearby rock, raised an eyebrow. "It sounds like you're all rethinking your divine roles, huh?"
Metis nodded, her eyes scanning the group. "There's a deeper understanding of life and death here. A balance that I think we've been blind to. Maybe it's time to rethink our strategies, our choices."
Tezcatlipoca, who had been lounging leisurely with an apple, smirked. "So, it seems you all learned a few things. But did you get what you came for?"
Poseidon, still processing the encounter, rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "It's not just about what we came for. It's about what we will do with that knowledge."
The group collectively paused, taking in the gravity of Poseidon's words. Their experiences in Xibalba had shaken them in ways they weren't quite prepared for. The understanding that death wasn't just an end but a transformation, that everything was part of a greater cycle—it was a lot to carry.
Loki, ever the mischief-maker, broke the silence. "I think we should take it easy for now. We've all learned something today, and I'm sure each of us will reflect on it in our own way. But for now, let's focus on what's next."
Xochiquetzal, who had accompanied them out of Xibalba, gave the group a knowing look. "I agree with Loki. There's time to reflect, but also time to act. The world doesn't stop because you've learned something new."
Tezcatlipoca, who had been eyeing the sky, leaned back in his seat, tossing the apple core aside. "Well, now that the learning is done, maybe it's time to check on Huitzilopochtli and Coyolxauhqui. The two of them are likely up to something interesting."
Kukulkan chuckled. "Yes, and at least we won't be interrupted by any more philosophical musings about life and death. A bit of action might be just what we need."
The conversation shifted, the gods and deities now turning their attention to the next task at hand. Despite the weight of the revelations they had encountered in Xibalba, there was a feeling of readiness in the air.
"Right," Zeus said, clapping his hands together. "Let's go check on Huitzilopochtli and Coyolxauhqui. It might be just what we need to reset."
The group, now unified in their resolve, gathered around Tezcatlipoca and Kukulkan, ready to move forward into the next chapter of their journey. As they prepared to depart, Hades caught Tezcatlipoca's eye.
"Just... don't start with any more puzzles, okay?" Hades said dryly.
Tezcatlipoca laughed, a low, rumbling sound. "No promises. But I think you'll like what we're about to find."
Poseidon then looked at Tezcatlipoca. "So black son, I have question does a god Die".
Hades sighed, he remembers that this conversation happened before, back then it was after the war with the titian in the previous Timeline, Gaea told them what happened, but seems that this question will be answered much faster.
Tezcatlipoca grinned as he spoke. "Will Jo us gods don't die".
Poseidon then looked at him. "Waith but h-".
Tezcatlipoca cut him of. "Gods can't die, but in away we can be killed after we are killed a god goes to God sleep, then formrhr next few 100 years there body's goes to a cycle of rebirth then they are reborn, but before you ask there is way to permanently kill a god as well, but I won't tell you kids don't need to learn that, I sure you ask this question because you wanted to know how to deal with Cornus".
Hades chucked at how Tezcatlipoca said his father name. "It is actually Cronus".
Tezcatlipoca just chuckled and smaceje hadee on the back. "I know that kid, I just did on purpose".
Poseidon blinked, processing Tezcatlipoca's words. "So... even if we were to defeat Cronus, there's a way he could return?"
Tezcatlipoca nodded slowly, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Precisely. But don't mistake it for immortality. It's more like... a reset button. A cycle of rebirth, so to speak. And depending on the god, they can return more powerful or just as they were before. But that's something you don't need to concern yourselves with right now." He smirked, enjoying the tension his words were causing.
Hades, still leaning against the stone wall, gave a small smile at Tezcatlipoca's playful jab. "He has a point. Cronus may return, but it doesn't mean he's invincible. You just have to be ready to face him again."
Loki raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "So, if gods can be killed, does that mean there's a way to destroy them completely? Permanently? Or are we all just tied to an endless loop of death and rebirth?"
Tezcatlipoca's grin faded slightly, his tone becoming more serious. "There are ways to ensure a god never returns. A few ancient rituals exist, but they're lost to time—hidden even from us in the deepest corners of history. Such power comes at a cost... and not even I am sure if those secrets are still intact."
Demeter frowned. "So, we're essentially immortals until the day someone finds that method to break the cycle?"
Tezcatlipoca shrugged nonchalantly. "Yes and no. Gods can die, but death for us is different from mortal death. We don't truly cease to exist, we just... sleep, waiting to return. But as I said, there are ways to make us truly vanish. But only the most desperate would resort to it."
Poseidon scratched his chin thoughtfully. "That's... unsettling. What if Cronus found that method?"
Tezcatlipoca let out a short laugh. "If Cronus finds that method, then maybe we should all be worried. But, given his track record, I don't think he's the one to figure it out."
Zeus, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. "So, we're basically stuck in this cycle of conflict and rebirth? Constantly fighting for supremacy, forever."
Tezcatlipoca leaned back, eyes scanning the horizon. "Well, isn't that the nature of being a god? Power, dominance, and the eternal battle for balance. But don't think of it as a curse. We have the chance to shape the world however we see fit—just as long as we're willing to pay the price."
Kukulkan, who had been silent until now, tilted her head slightly. "You talk about balance like it's the answer to everything. But what happens when that balance is shattered? What happens when chaos is all that remains?"
Tezcatlipoca's gaze met hers, and for a moment, there was a flicker of something darker in his eyes. "That's when the world will truly change. Chaos, in its purest form, is not something we can control. And if it ever reaches that point, even gods might find themselves powerless."
The group fell silent, contemplating Tezcatlipoca's words. The weight of immortality, death, and rebirth hung heavily in the air, each god and goddess lost in their own thoughts about their place in the grand scheme of things.
Hades eventually broke the silence with a sigh. "Well, if we're all going to be stuck in this endless cycle, might as well make the best of it. We've got a war to prepare for, after all."
Tezcatlipoca chuckled. "Exactly. No time to waste dwelling on immortality. Focus on the now. Fight, and maybe... just maybe, we'll break the cycle in our own way."
The group nodded in agreement, their resolve solidifying once more as they steeled themselves for the battle ahead. Cronus, the looming threat, was still out there, and the gods knew they would need to unite their strengths and face him head-on, no matter the cost.
"Let's not waste any more time," Zeus declared, his voice filled with determination. "We've got a world to save."
And with that, the group set off, the weight of their immortality hanging over them, but their focus firmly fixed on the task at hand: the battle against Cronus and the fate of the world.
Kukulkan them looked at them. "Anyway, I am going a different part of the world, the mortal calling on or will my other aspects Quetzalcoatl bye, also word of advice you don't need to kill your father Cronus trapping a god is good idea as well"
As she turned into a wing serpent and flyeed away, as she did Anansi looked at Tezcatlipoca as he spoke. "She has wing serpent mode, do you have Jaguar mode".
Tezcatlipoca shrugged. "I can turn into a sun or will half it, you tell me if I have one or not".
Anansi raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "A sun, huh? That's quite the power. But half of it? Does that mean you're only a partial sun when you're in that form?"
Tezcatlipoca smirked, unfazed by the question. "It's not about being partial. It's more of an... abstract thing. I don't just turn into the sun, I embody its essence in part. The fire, the light, the destruction, all of it. But I only show fragments when I shift."
Hades, still standing nearby, chuckled softly. "You always were the mysterious one, Tezcatlipoca. No wonder Kukulkan likes to stir things up with you."
Tezcatlipoca tilted his head slightly in acknowledgment but didn't respond. He didn't need to. The conversation was more of an exchange of words than a serious discussion.
Loki, ever the curious one, asked with a grin, "So, do you ever just... light up the sky for fun? Cause I gotta say, a jaguar mode sounds pretty tame compared to that."
Tezcatlipoca gave him a sidelong glance. "Maybe one day you'll see it for yourself. But I reserve such displays for special occasions."
Hera, who had been listening quietly, now spoke, her voice calm but with an edge of authority. "We may have our forms and abilities, but the real test will be whether we can actually work together when the time comes. This endless cycle of power and rebirth may give us immortality, but it doesn't mean we should waste it fighting amongst ourselves."
Zeus nodded in agreement, his expression serious. "She's right. The gods, the pantheons... we can't afford to be divided when facing Cronus. We need unity, not just strength."
Tezcatlipoca raised an eyebrow but didn't respond directly to the comment. Instead, he looked back toward the horizon, as if considering something far beyond the immediate conversation. "Unity, huh? That's a difficult thing to achieve when each of us comes from a different world, with different ideals."
"Then let's make it work," said Poseidon, his tone firm. "We've fought wars before, each of us, alone or with others. But the enemy we face now is beyond anything we've faced before. Cronus won't go down easily."
"Indeed," agreed Hades. "And even if we defeat him, the battle won't be over. There are forces beyond us, beyond the gods, that will continue to challenge the balance."
Anansi chuckled softly, the sound echoing like a whisper in the air. "Forces beyond the gods, huh? Sounds like we're getting into territory that even the gods can't control. But maybe that's the very thing that will allow us to win. The unknown. The unpredictable."
Tezcatlipoca finally turned his attention back to Anansi. "Perhaps. Or perhaps it's what will be our downfall."
The group fell silent for a moment, the weight of the upcoming battle settling over them once again. The knowledge that Cronus was not the only threat, that there were deeper powers at play, made their mission all the more complicated.
Hera sighed, crossing her arms. "So, what's next? We wait for Kukulkan to come back, or do we get moving ourselves?"
Tezcatlipoca glanced at the sky where Kukulkan had vanished. "Kukulkan will return in time. For now, we take action. We prepare for war, but we also prepare for what comes after. There's no point in saving the world if we don't know how to rebuild it once the dust settles."
"Rebuilding," murmured Demeter. "That might be the hardest part of all."
Tezcatlipoca's eyes glinted, and a grin spread across his face. "Ah, but that's where the true challenge lies. The war will be won, but how we rise from it—that will define us."
With that, the group began to discuss their next steps, strategizing and forming alliances, knowing the path ahead would be fraught with danger. But they were gods—immortal, powerful, and resolute. And together, they would face whatever came next, whether in battle or beyond.
