Ning Shu carefully walked in and, as expected, discovered a different paradise. The place was dazzling, bright, and clean—definitely more like a proper shooting range.
The room was filled with partitioned-off stalls, and everyone inside was wearing earplugs, completely focused on shooting at the targets in front of them.
The sound of gunfire filled the air. Ning Shu paused to take it all in, feeling quite defeated. It was supposed to be a simple school campus story, yet here she was, in the middle of a gun battle.
Standing there clueless, she noticed there didn't seem to be any employees handling reception.
"Uncle, I want to practice shooting. W… where should I go?" she asked a man who was wiping sweat off his brow.
The man glanced at her, and even that single look made Ning Shu feel like she was standing in a graveyard. A chill ran down her spine as if she were facing a sea of blood.
His menacing aura was overwhelming. This guy had definitely killed before.
"Where did this little girl come from? Why is Old Li letting random people in? Get out," he said coldly, his brows furrowing as he directed a threatening vibe toward her.
Ning Shu felt like she was facing a beast weighing its next meal. She saw the ruthlessness in his eyes as he rubbed his gun, narrowing his gaze at her head, clearly itching to put a bullet through it.
Mommy, this world was too dangerous! She wanted to go home! Hastily, she fished out her card and said, "I was introduced to this place by someone."
When the man saw the card in her hand, his expression shifted instantly. He forced a smile, but it was a tragic sight.
"So you're someone Psycho introduced? The second stall is Psycho's spot; you can practice there." He pointed at a stall and added, "Just use his spot."
Psycho? Was he talking about the school doctor? Such a fierce guy changed his attitude so quickly just because of this card.
How intimidating was the school doctor? Just his name was enough to make this tough guy treat her gently, like she was a tiger.
Since the school doctor's name held that much power, Ning Shu decided to play it up. "Uncle, I don't know how to shoot. Could you teach me?"
The man's face spasmed before he replied, "Of course."
Ning Shu silently thanked the school doctor for providing her with a free instructor.
"You know how to load the magazine, right?"
"I don't."
"You know how to pull the bolt, right?"
"I don't."
"You at least know how to pull the trigger, right?"
"I don't."
The man rubbed the gun at his waist, narrowing his eyes at her head again. Then, he seemed to have a change of heart and gave a strained smile.
"I'll have to trouble Uncle."
A crowd had gathered around, and when they heard Ning Shu, they laughed at her rookie status, claiming she was even worse than a novice.
What she didn't know wouldn't hurt her. She had never shot a gun before, so she didn't find it embarrassing. If she had known how, she wouldn't have come here in the first place.
"Don't make a fuss. This girl was introduced by Psycho," the man said with a forced smile.
As soon as the name 'Psycho' was mentioned, everyone around scattered like birds fleeing from danger. Within seconds, they were all gone.
They acted like they would die just hearing that name.
Ning Shu: …
How intimidating was the school doctor, really? But Ning Shu didn't see him as all that impressive. After all, he had been injured by someone just a few days ago—he seriously sucked.
"Uncle, we can start now. Don't worry; I'll definitely do my best to learn."
Thus began her shooting lessons. With an instructor who seemed to consider putting a bullet through her head every now and then, Ning Shu picked up the skills quickly.
Human potential was truly limitless.
