Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 You’ve Been Seeing My Children Behind My Back

"Mister, these bad men tried to rob my mommy. You shouldn't let them off so easily just because they're injured."

"They even threatened her with a knife. They don't deserve just a few days in prison. Is it possible to have them stay in these cells for at least six months?"

"It'll also help if you don't let the dressings on their wounds be changed. That way the injuries can get infected and cause their arms to be amputated. That way, they won't dare to pick up a knife talkmore of scaring a lonely woman on the road in broad daylight."

The triplets spoke one after the other, a charming smile plastered across their face, a total contrast to the suggestions they were all making.

The officers were on the verge of agreeing to all their demands because of their smiles when the three thieves fell on their knees and began pleading.

"We won't do it again, officer! This will be the last time!"

"I have a feeble old mother to look after. Please, let me go back to her!"

"We were wrong to have tried to rob her. Please let us off this one time and I promise you it won't happen again. Please!"

The officers turned to them and almost smacked them on the head at having ruined such a beautiful moment for them.

The officer taking Kelsie's reports cleared his throat and tugged lightly at his collars as he spoke to the triplets regretfully.

"Unfortunately, adorable little ones, we can't hold them here since they're not in our jurisdiction."

"Furthermore, we can't keep them here more than a few days without having them stand trial."

"Unless your mother decides to press charges against them, only then will they stand trial and be convicted if found guilty."

In the middle of his talk, Kelsie suddenly yawned and covered her mouth with the back of her hand.

All this talk about trial was boring her out.

The officer turned to her again and asked politely, "You merely got lucky this time, ma'am. You should do what your children suggests and file charges against them. It won't hurt to have them stand trial."

"Given the circumstances they attacked you, I assure you they will be found guilty and have to spend a few months in jail."

"The trail should only take a few days to be processed."

Kelsie gently shook her head in refusal and glanced at the three thieves impatiently.

As soon as her eyes met theirs, the fierceness in hers subconsciously made them lower their eyes to the floor.

Everyone here were being fooled by her, but they experienced her strength first hand.

She had taken care of them lazily and yet, all three of them had broken more than one bone.

Was she serious with them, they had no doubt they would all be bedridden by now!

She leaned towards them and repeated, "I told you already, haven't I? If someone as much as describes any of you or all three of you as people who robbed them, best believe I'll have the police track you down to wherever you are and make you stand trial for it!"

"Yes, ma'am!" The men were so frightened they answered her at once in a shaky voice, their eyes wtill lowered to the floor.

She had just turned away from them when one of the men turned to an officer and asked in a low voice, "Excuse me, what she just did, doesn't that count as a threat? Isn't that enough to file a lawsuit against…"

Smack!

The words were yet out of his mouth when the officer smacked him on his head.

"I should squeeze this mouth of yours out of your face! You should be grateful this kind miss is being lenient on you and letting you off so easily!"

"Which lawyer do you think will take up a case they know they're obviously going to lose?"

The thief refused to be discouraged and still tried to convince the officer, "B-but she did dislocate my shoulder when I was unarmed. Doesn't that count as…"

Smack!

The officer smacked him again and gripped his ears painfully.

"One more word and I'll press charges against you myself!"

The thief winced in pain and nodded vigorously.

When the officer, released his grip on his ear, he bit lower lip aggrieved and glanced at Kelsie.

How was it everyone in this station were all blinded by her weak-looking stature?

She even dared to threaten people in the station, but the officers still didn't find any fault in her.

Did she know beforehand they were going to rob her and bribed the officers in advance or was there something he was missing?

A few minutes later, Kelsie finished giving her statement and went outside.

Daniel, who was standing just outside the amusement park, suddenly raised his eyes to see the family of four standing outside the police station.

He quickly ended the call with the DPO whom he had just called to make a report regarding a missing family of four.

For a moment, he completely forgot himself and rushed up to them worriedly.

Then he began inspecting all three of the children before he exhaled in relief and ruffled their hairs playfully.

The triplets, especially Keira and Zade, froze immediately seeing he was giving away the fact they had been seeing each other behind their mother's back.

Daniel saw their strange expressions and suddenly recalled Kelsie was standing right beside them giving him a strange look.

The triplets immediately pulled on the most innocent look while Daniel suddenly appeared entirely clueless.

He awkwardly pulled away his hand from Zade's hair ans stutttered, "Y-your children are so adorable I couldn't help myself."

Then he promptly turned around to leave, but Kelsie had of course recognized him to be the brat who got into her apartment the other day and spewed the nonsense about her son looking a lot like Jett Adler.

"Hey, you've been seeing my children behind my back, haven't you?"
