"Please wait a moment," said Ye Hai as he stood up and walked over to Gwen. "Gwen, you finally arrived! I've missed you so much."
Gwen rolled her eyes and glanced at the waitress with irritation. "You seemed to be having a great conversation just now."
"Really? We were just talking about what to drink," Ye Hai said, displaying gentlemanly manners as he pulled out a chair for Gwen.
Once they were seated, the waitress politely asked, "What would you like to drink?"
"Green tea."
"Coffee!"
"Okay, please wait a moment," the waitress replied as she turned and walked away.
Gwen grinned and said, "The renowned scientist, that girl just now was quite nice, right?"
"She only looks good; what I like are women who are both talented and beautiful," Ye Hai replied, smiling.
"I understand your taste," Gwen chuckled, her sapphire eyes playfully looking at Ye Hai. "But, you know, men like a bit of one-night fun."
"Fine," Ye Hai conceded, and he took out the note written by Professor X from his pocket. "Look, this is just an address for a school. There's no way I'd go to a school for a one-night stand, right?"
"Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters? Haha, that's a school for mutants! How could they let you in? Ye, are you a mutant?" Gwen laughed.
"You actually know about the mutant school?" Ye Hai was surprised.
"What's strange about that? Don't forget my dad is the Chief of the New York City Police Department. He's mentioned that school to me," Gwen replied with a smile. "But you still haven't told me how you got invited there."
Gwen's eyes were inquisitive, and Ye Hai knew this girl was very curious. If he wanted to continue their relationship, it was better not to keep this secret from her.
Ye Hai said softly, "Because I'm a mutant."
"Oh, you're a mutant," Gwen smiled. Her expression showed no real surprise, as if she had already known.
Ye Hai frowned. "Aren't you even a little surprised?"
Gwen shrugged and smiled, "You were so outstanding in the lab. Dr. Connor spent ten years studying the mutation rate formula, while you perfected it in just one day. With a brain that smart, how could you be just an ordinary person? You know, your colleagues say you're an alien. Haha!"
"So you guys had already guessed my identity," Ye Hai chuckled. "Aren't you afraid?"
"You're handsome, calm, and you solve human problems. Someone so useful should be treasured by human society. Why would anyone be afraid?" Gwen looked at Ye Hai curiously.
Ye Hai was a bit taken aback, realizing that his powerful abilities were for building rather than destroying, which would be beneficial to humanity, naturally leading it to accept him.
Ye Hai let out a sigh of relief and looked at Gwen earnestly. "So, what do you think of me?"
"Well," Gwen smiled, blinking as she said, "besides being a bit handsome, you're a bit of a nerd, obsessed with your research and often forgetting that there's a lady sitting next to you."
"Sorry, Gwen. I still think you're much more interesting than that research. Will you be my girlfriend?" Ye Hai asked with a smile.
After a moment of silence, Gwen's face turned slightly red, and she said, "I think I shouldn't refuse, especially since you're a mutant. Hehe!"
"That's great!"
Once they had confirmed their relationship, both felt incredibly happy, making conversation much easier. They chatted a lot and felt that time flew by rapidly.
Half an hour later, Gwen said her goodbyes. After all, she was still a high school girl, and her life was still controlled by her parents; she couldn't be out too late.
Once they parted, Ye Hai returned home immediately and opened his computer to study scientific materials.
Having reached a level four brain domain, he didn't want to waste time and decided to study all night.
As he was reading, the screen suddenly flickered with an unusual interface. This change was subtle and would go unnoticed by an ordinary person, but with his level-four brain domain and enhanced senses, he easily caught the fluctuation.
Flickering interfaces typically indicate unstable voltage or an overload of information processing, causing the computer's chips to overheat and the display to glitch. Network congestion could also cause issues. However, the most concerning problem would be unauthorized programs intruding on the computer, which slowed its processing speed—essentially, a hacker had breached his computer.
After a few seconds of searching, he noticed something was off. In the familiar operating system, there was an extra 1MB of data. For an ordinary person, it would be impossible to remember the exact sizes of files in the system, but someone like Ye Hai could easily do that.
After further investigation, Ye Hai found the additional software. It appeared as an inconspicuous program, disguised as a system image processing application—something that would be very difficult for anyone else to detect. Only someone like Ye Hai, who knew the system thoroughly, could spot it easily.
Now Ye Hai was sure that this software was a hacking tool.
Furious, Ye Hai realized he had to teach this hacker a severe lesson.
