He didn't alert any monitoring software, since there was nothing particularly important on his computer apart from a few books and basic materials. He began by browsing professional hacker websites, then purchased a dozen professional books online, covering a range of topics such as assembly language programming, encryption and decryption techniques, Trojan and worm technology, as well as knowledge on intrusion and prevention—there was a wide variety in the content.
Due to the complexity of network knowledge, most hacker groups tend to specialize in different areas, with each member focusing on a specific field and being more proficient in that area than their peers. Ye Hai was different, though; his strong learning capability allowed him to master various fields. After spending six hours reading over a hundred specialized books, he managed to grasp a plethora of hacker knowledge, feeling confident that his current hacking skills were among the best in the world. However, he was not naive enough to think he was the strongest, given the abundance of advanced technology and AI-driven hacker groups around; even with his vast knowledge and skills, he wouldn't stand a chance against them due to hardware limitations.
After half an hour of work, he created a firewall, a Trojan, and a virus. When he activated the firewall, he was surprised to discover another Trojan program lurking in the depths, the sign of top-tier hacker skills; the previous one he encountered was only at a professional level.
Ye Hai's eyes narrowed as his fingers flew across the keyboard. After half an hour of overcoming various obstacles, he finally traced the source of the Trojan program.
"S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Ye Hai said with mild surprise, subsequently letting out a bitter laugh. "So I've been monitored by S.H.I.E.L.D. No wonder their hacking skills are so impressive."
Without hesitation, he launched his own virus into the system and exited quickly, disappearing without a trace. He then proceeded to investigate the source of the first Trojan software. This time, the process went smoothly, and within a minute, he identified the culprit.
Ye Hai laughed; he recognized this person as his boss, Norman Osborn. "Norman Osborn hacked into my computer as well. It seems he must have noticed something."
Ye Hai frowned slightly, his greatest concern being Osborn himself, as all of his research was conducted at Osborn Industries. It was quite likely that this man had been monitoring his work closely all along.
Upon realizing this, Ye Hai immediately launched an offensive, silently entering Norman Osborn's computer and checking all related systems, even infiltrating the surveillance systems of Osborn's building. After several thorough searches, he finally exited.
Letting out a sigh of relief, Ye Hai discovered that Osborn had not identified his research on gene fusion and mutant studies. This was because Osborn's monitoring system had flagged Ye Hai for deleting experimental data, thereby raising Osborn's suspicions. However, he evidently did not believe that anyone could breach those scientific defenses in such a short time, so he did not delve further. Osborn merely used hacker techniques to check Ye Hai's computer for anything hidden.
This was a common tactic for Norman, who had purchased hacking intrusion software from one of Earth's top hacker groups. It was said that this group ranked in the top ten on Earth, and their intrusion software was capable of breaching systems even the U.S. government could not. Generally, for the sake of self-preservation, they would refrain from doing this, but Norman used this software to monitor the capable scientists under him without anyone ever noticing. Ye Hai's outstanding performance piqued Norman's curiosity; following his usual method, he similarly hacked into Ye Hai's computer. After browsing through it, he found nothing suspicious, only noting that this young man was quite studious, given that his computer housed a wealth of professional literature.
"No wonder he can assist Connor in perfecting the metamorphosis rate formula at such a young age," Norman remarked.
As a successful entrepreneur and renowned scientist, he always appreciated hardworking, eager-to-learn individuals.
"Ding ding!"
Suddenly, his computer emitted an alarm, indicating an intrusion or a virus compromising the system.
Norman acted quickly, cutting off the internet connection, but the alarm persisted. Then a video suddenly popped up, taking over the entire screen.
"Oh yeah!"
A blonde woman, completely nude, was energetically riding a man, moving up and down enthusiastically. It was quite a captivating sight—if only this blonde were not his secretary and lover, it would be perfect.
"What the hell, that brat!" Norman shouted angrily.
