Suddenly, the female secretary began to ripple like waves, quickly transforming into a person covered entirely in blue scales. Her slender figure was fully accentuated, looking incredibly seductive yet giving off a disturbing vibe.
Ye Hai was slightly taken aback and blurted out, "Mystique?"
Mystique smiled and said, "It seems Dr. Ye knows a bit about us mutants. Yes, I am Mystique."
"What a fascinating shape-shifting ability," Ye Hai exclaimed, his curiosity piqued.
He observed Mystique's form intently, his eyes gleaming with interest in her shape-shifting genes. Mystique felt uneasy under his gaze, shifting her body and saying, "Dr. Ye, you truly are a research enthusiast. It's no wonder our leader asked us to invite you to join our organization."
"Is it for my knowledge in gene fusion?" Ye Hai's gaze remained fixed on Mystique as he contemplated whether he should suddenly make a move and draw a bit of blood from her.
"Yes, our leader believes you have a talent in that area, so you are very fortunate to have been chosen by him, hee hee."
With a light laugh, Mystique shimmered like waves again, her blue scales disappearing as she transformed back into the female secretary.
"Ding!" The elevator stopped at the underground level two garage, and the doors opened to reveal a tall man standing before the two. He had disheveled white hair, a broad face twisted in a snarl, and a pair of dark eyes glaring at Ye Hai, seemingly harboring a deep grudge.
Ye Hai felt a chill run down his spine under the man's intense gaze; this unknown individual was quite powerful, possibly at level three.
Mystique reassured him, "His name is Sabertooth. You don't need to worry; his expression is always like this. As long as you don't resist, he won't hurt you."
Sabertooth? Upon hearing the name, Ye Hai's heart raced with excitement. Sabertooth's real name was Victor Creed, half-brother to Wolverine, possessing the same healing ability as Wolverine, with superior strength, speed, and observation skills.
The mutant healing ability had always been something Ye Hai yearned for; acquiring it could grant him immortality, likely allowing him to live forever. Who could resist such a power?
"Ding! Mission Triggered: Research the perfect fusion between regenerative genes and ordinary cells. Mission duration: one month. Reward for success: 10,000 science points."
"Ding! Mission Triggered: Research the perfect fusion between shape-shifting genes and ordinary cells. Mission duration: two months. Reward for success: 10,000 science points."
With such generous rewards announced, Ye Hai was eager to obtain the blood of these two mutants for his research immediately.
Suppressing his excitement, Ye Hai looked around and chuckled, "Are there any other mutants coming? Let them out!"
Mystique regarded the strange scientist curiously, wondering why this human seemed so excited instead of fearful upon encountering mutants. Indeed, scientists cannot be viewed as ordinary people.
"There are no others, just the two of us. I think our presence shows enough sincerity, don't you think, Dr. Ye?" Mystique laughed lightly, while the towering Sabertooth remained silent and expressionless.
Actually, there was another mutant hidden away—one who had malfunctioned the elevator system—but since that mutant was technical, Mystique saw no need to mention it.
"Ah, what a pity. Why are there only two of you?" Ye Hai shook his head regretfully.
"What!" Mystique exclaimed, looking at him in confusion at his strange statement.
"Because I like mutants."
Ye Hai grinned as he reached out towards Mystique and Sabertooth. With immense strength, he easily seized Mystique, holding her firmly in place, rendering her unable to move.
However, the other hand encountered difficulty. While he successfully grabbed Sabertooth by the neck, the latter did not seem to care; his long claws slashed quickly towards Ye Hai's arm.
Ye Hai was slightly surprised, yet he remained in his upgraded brain state, possessing the strength of a hundred tons, which Sabertooth couldn't possibly handle. With a gentle push of his arm, Sabertooth flew like a cannonball into the wall, crashing hard enough to crack the reinforced concrete, and he became deeply embedded, unconscious.
"You are a mutant as well?" Mystique asked in terror.
"Correct," Ye Hai replied with a smile.
Calming her racing heart, Mystique forced herself to be composed. "Dr. Ye, since you are a mutant, then we are brothers. Would you be willing to join our mutant brotherhood? I believe our leader would be thrilled to meet such a powerful mutant like you."
Ye Hai shook his head. "I'm sorry, miss, but I have no interest in anti-human activities. However, I am a scientist, and if there are any strange studies, we could collaborate."
"Of course!" Mystique exclaimed, delighted that she could work with such a powerful mutant, which would benefit their brotherhood.
Casually, Mystique asked, "So, would you like to meet our leader?"
"I don't want to meet Magneto just yet," Ye Hai said, shaking his head slightly as he pulled out his phone, dialing Gwen.
"Gwen, bring some syringes to the underground level two of the building."
The request for syringes was, of course, to draw blood from Mystique and Sabertooth.
