In the sky, a massive battle fortress hovered—this was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s airborne mothership.
"Director, a giant monster has appeared on the Williamsburg Bridge. Initial assessments suggest it's a massive lizard," reported an agent.
Director Nick Fury quickly glanced at the big screen, which displayed satellite footage showing a large lizard—green-scaled and incredibly swift. With its powerful claws, it overturned cars blocking its path on the bridge, its fearsome mouth roaring as it looked skyward.
Fury frowned and said, "This seems like a mutated creature. I wonder if it's a mutant or if it escaped from some rogue biotech company. Track the lizard's movements and find out where it came from."
"Understood."
The airborne carrier was equipped with cutting-edge technology, allowing the agents to work quickly, and before long, the screen displayed a new image.
Fury saw a huge gap in the Osborn Corporation building and felt a wave of anger. "It looks like Norman Osborn has gone completely mad trying to find a cure for his family's genetic disorder. Notify the action team to capture this lizard..."
"Director, satellite surveillance has spotted Spider-Man. It seems he's entered the Williamsburg Bridge area and looks like he intends to battle that lizard," one agent suddenly reported.
"Oh?" Director Fury perked up. "Let's see how this little spider measures up in combat. Evaluate his fighting capabilities—let's see if he's suitable for joining S.H.I.E.L.D."
"Yes, sir."
Before long, another agent exclaimed, "Director, Spider-Man hasn't even engaged yet, but that giant lizard is already fighting someone!"
"Someone? Could it be a mutant?"
Director Fury looked at the large screen, where a strong, muscular man was battling the massive lizard; it was a one-sided fight.

Originally, Ye Hai didn't want to get involved. As long as the lizard didn't cause him trouble, he had no intention of intervening. However, the rampaging lizard was making a mess, tossing cars around like toys and gradually getting closer to him.

"Mommy!" the little girl finally cried out.
Unfortunately, despite her desperate calls, nobody came forward to claim her.
No mother could possibly not love their child—this little girl's mother likely faced dire circumstances.
Ye Hai landed on the bridge and approached a well-dressed middle-aged woman. "Excuse me, ma'am, could you please take care of this little girl? I need to deal with this giant lizard!"
The middle-aged woman, initially startled, nodded quickly as she empathized with the child's plight. "Of course, of course. No problem at all."
"Thank you!"
Ye Hai took to the skies again, racing across the bridge. His speed caused intense friction with the air, creating a loud rush. He felt he could easily surpass the speed of sound, but didn't want to risk burning his clothes off and becoming a naked superhero.
"Roar!"
The giant lizard bellowed, its voice filled with a dominating ferocity, as it cooledly glared at Ye Hai, its appearance utterly menacing.
Shifting from a weak form to a powerful one often breeds a sense of dominance, and they revel in this ability, dismissing any challenges or threats.
Ye Hai shared a similar mindset. Hovering above the giant lizard, he taunted, "Are you provoking me? A big lizard thinks it's invincible now?"
A spark of intelligence lit up in the lizard's eyes, and the corners of its toothy mouth curled in disdain.
This anthropomorphic expression caught Ye Hai off guard. He suddenly remembered that this lizard was Dr. Connors, a being with human intelligence.
