As they prepared to leave the hospital, Wesley surprised them with an invitation to dinner at his house. Grandma Isa's initial decline was expected, but Wesley's persistence eventually won her over. Or so it seemed.
"I'm not feeling too well," Grandma Isa said, her voice laced with a hint of deception. "Perhaps some other time?"
Wesley's eyes narrowed slightly, but his smile remained intact. "I'll have my doctor check you out," he said, pulling out his phone. "We can't have you feeling unwell."
Before Grandma Isa could protest, Wesley had already dialed a number and was speaking to someone on the other end. Within minutes, a doctor arrived, and Grandma Isa was whisked away for a check-up.
The results, of course, revealed nothing out of the ordinary. But Wesley's thoughtfulness had already won over Jeffery, who was impressed by the young man's wealth and influence.
