Chapter 39 - Disowned or Not

Tiel stared at Asti with what he could only describe as rage. He was frustrated and humiliated, understanding for a long time now that his family, like many friends, had not liked Asti.

Claiming she was just not their cup of tea—they said she was bad company, mean, and a snake. He had found himself defending this woman every time, knowing they didn't know her like he did. She was his lover, his company, and someone who always stood by him, no matter what.

So when he asked her to keep it to herself and do what he said, that's exactly what he expected her to do. Not this. Not coming to his parents' home, telling everyone she was with child. Much more, his bride-to-be now knew he was with someone else.

Tiel didn't know why, but it bothered him that she knew. Celeste must have felt even worse. First, with him being inconsiderate and violent, practically scares the girl.
