ELOISE POV—
When I jumped into the vortex, I thought I would experience anything new. For fuck's sake, it disappointed me. It's like the fucking Anywhere Door from Doraemon. Then again, both Doraemon and Liam are cats.
Sensing my disappointment, Liam mocked, 'Were you excepting some kind of otherworldly experience? I am sorry, I disappointed you.'
I grumbled, 'Liam, shut the fuck off! Tell me where are we? The only thing is sand, lots and lots of sand. At least tell me, you know the place where we can get ingredients from, right?' I think we are in a desert or so. I am surrounded by sand and the only thing I can see is also sand.
Liam laughed awkwardly and said, 'Hehe... Eloise, don't panic. I know the ingredients and I know this is the place where we can get what we want,' I sighed, 'but, I don't know where to find them.'
Hearing his words, I started laughing albeit like a lunatic I would say. I grabbed his tail and pulled it roughly.
Liam yelped in pain. He yelled, 'OUCH! LEAVE ME YOU DAMN KID. I AM THE PRINCE OF THE BEASTS; I WOULD NOT TOLERATE THIS AUDACITY OF YOURS.'
His words just fuelled my anger, I started to pull his tail more roughly. Liam sobbed, 'I am sorry! Master, please it hurts! I beg of you. Please, release me. I won't do it again.'
'Stop making it sound dirty, you bloody cat. Are you some kind of helpless damsel with whom I having my way with?' Saying this, I released him. He ignored my words and massaged his tail.
'Beast,' whispered Liam.
I sassed, 'Oi, I heard that. And please tell me, why are you even trying massage your tail? You don't have hands, you have paws. Attempting to massage it won't help you.'
Suddenly, something started to come out from the ground. Liam ceased his movements and looked alert. I asked, 'Liam, what's happening? What is that thing?'
Liam replied, 'I don't know but I think, we are going out.' Amidst our conversation that very thing completely came out from the ground. It was a skeleton.
'That's a skeleton. Now, I know the time is not right but it's lame.'
Liam agreed, 'Yeah, I mean I thought something big would come out from the ground but just a skeleton soldier came out from the ground.'
I have a bad feeling about this. I mean in these situations when a single skeleton appears, the whole army comes just after it. True to my words, one by one skeleton soldiers appeared in front of us.
Right in front of our eyes stood around more than 500 skeleton soldiers. I took and step back and looked at Liam.
'Liam! Do something!'
Liam paled and said, 'Are you crazy? Look in front of us Eloise, there's a fucking army of skeleton soldiers. What can I do?!'
So, that leaves one thing. 'If you can't do anything, then what are we waiting for? Let's run idiot,' I yelled and started running. Seeing me running, Liam also started running after me.
'What are we going to do? Eloise, there's only endless sand in front of us,' yelled Liam.
'You brought us here in the first place. Why are you asking me? And what's this place called? Are we in some kind of different planet?'
'Kaizen. This planet is called Kaizen. Except this and ingredients required, I don't know anything about this place. I— Eloise, look out! A skeleton soldier is closing towards you from the left side.'
Hearing Liam's words, I turned to my left side and saw a skeleton nearing towards me.
{Lame de bois}
Conjuring up a wooden blade, I slashed down the skeleton, decimating it into pieces. Two more skeletons came towards me, suffering the same fate as the first one.
{Planche à glace}
I conjured an ice board and jumped onto it. I yelled, 'Hop onto this slide. Quickly, Liam.' He hopped onto the board and I pushed forward my body to accelerate the slate forwards. After some time, we some how got rid of the skeleton army. Now, in front of us was a vast forest. It was covered predominantly by large trees. Although medium and small ones were there, but they paled in quantity when compared to the large ones. We got off of the board and stood there. I don't think it would be wise if we blindly enter into this forest. Loud noises of animals came from the forest which solidified my thought.
Liam pondered, 'Should we enter into the forest?'
I said, 'We have to. Do we have any other choice? Either we enter into this forest, or we go back and die fighting the skeletons. Trust me, you and me both won't be able to fight these many skeletons by only ourselves.'
'So, going into this forest, then.'
I agreed, 'Yep. No choice for us. Besides, let's see what the forest offers us.'
Liam gritted his teeth. 'Now is not the time to fuel the adventurer inside you. Think carefully, you are a genius, not some brute,' yelled Liam.
'I know, Liam. I know it very well but can't you feel anything? You should be able to feel the excitement, the fear, the adrenalin rush inside of you. Feel it, Liam, feel it and take it in. We don't know what's inside there. Maybe there is some kind of element in there or maybe something even more. We don't know Liam, we don't know.'
'Yes cat, your master is correct,' said a new voice. Ah shit, here we go again.
