ELOISE POV—
I said, 'Sorry, but not sorry. I am not going to do anything for you. Still, I will be doing something to you, just tell me the way to get out of here and there will be no violence.'
I am not a wild monkey who will dance for someone's pleasure. It's not my style to comply with a stranger's bidding, especially a psychopath's. So, just shove your words back in your ass. Hmmm, my words are incorrect, this thing lacks an ass.
It chastised, 'You are just a child, yet you are too cocky. Are you not afraid?'
'Afraid of whom? You? Or afraid of uncertainty? 'I don't have enough privilege to be afraid. The moment I start to fear, the very next moment will result in my death.'
The Voice started to laugh. Argh, its laugh is too creepy. It's hurting my ears.
'Interesting. Your view on your current situation is too mature. It's almost like I am talking to an adult.'
What is it getting at? It taunted, 'You are not what you seem, am I right?' My blood ran cold as soon as I heard his words. Does it know that I am a reincarnated being? No, it can't be possible.
Knowing something would require a lot of knowledge and self-awareness, which this cave's conscience is clearly not capable of. But I might be wrong. I don't know for how much time this cave is conscious, but it has come across a lot of people.
'It doesn't matter what I am. Just tell me how to get out of here and I will not repeat this again,' I said this with a very cold voice.
'You are a mess, aren't you? You are calling me a psychopath whereas you, yourself, is like one.'
Is he calling me a psychopath? Seriously?! I scoffed, 'Fine. If you are not telling me, then I will force it out from you.'
It yelled, 'Really! You think an insignificant insect like you will force it out of me? You?!' I think my words have angered him, 'ha-ha-ha... I am going to show you how much wrong you are.'
Just I was about to say something to it, the world around me started spinning. What the fuck is happening? I was suspended in the air. Suddenly, I started falling back to the ground. Closing, my eyes I braced myself for the impact, just for me to feel no pain. I opened my eyes and found myself standing on my feet, as if everything that happened around me was an illusion.
Calming myself, I looked around me and found out that I am no longer in the cave. I am in somebody's room as there were a lot of things around me.
Suddenly, someone entered into the room. It was a woman around her 40s. She had a chocolaty brown hair with green eyes and her skin was dark. Her clothes were shabby and were ragged in a lot of places.
She yelled, 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING GOOFING AROUND?' she threw a broom and a dirty cloth on me, 'KAI, YOU FILTHY GIRL. DO YOUR CHORES PROPERLY! OR PREPARE YOURSELF FOR YOUR PUNISHMENT IF YOU DON'T DO IT PROPERLY.'
For some reason, she was really angry at me. After yelling uncouthly, she closed the door and left the room. Though my question should be, how dare she throw this on me? I am angry, very angry but I have to swallow my anger. I don't know where I am. I can't any risk in this situation.
By the she yelled at me, or this body, I can safely say by her age and her behaviour, she is the boss or some kind of supervisor of this body. Looking around, there was a mirror in this room, and I when I looked at my reflection. I found myself in the body of an unknown girl. She had blue hair with green eyes. Her clothes were similar to that of woman.
Fuck! I am in both in an unfamiliar body and place. I have to get some information. Getting out of this house is the suitable course of action, as this girl is treated badly in this house. I can say this clearly by considering the situation I am in. I heard the closing of a door. Probably, the woman has already left the house for some reason or work. I don't give a fuck to it. This is the queue to get out of this house. I rushed out of the room. After getting out of the room, I stumbled upon the exit of the house that I am currently present in.
As soon as I got out of the house, the view in front of me, completely shocked me. I am in a village, a fucking village. There were a lot of small houses around me.
There were people around me, ranging from kids to elderly. Ah, am I in the same planet or in a different dimension?
I have to collect some information from them. It's my only choice. I started to walk towards them. Just as I was going to greet them, their faces morphed into look of disgust and anger. Huh? Why are they looking at me like that? Did this body I am currently in, did something to them? Otherwise, why are they looking at me like this?
Without any word, the people around me left this place like I have brought some deadly disease with me here? Fine, if they are not going to talk to me, then I will find out the answers to my questions. Also, after getting of this place, I will fucking kill that bloody thing. I will destroy the cave.
I know violence is not the answer to all the questions. I mean, how much your siblings anger you, beating them is not the solution. If you beat them, they would complain to your mother. Boom! You got yourself a lengthy lecture and a good beating. Now, it will be their turn to laugh at you. Some people would call it karma as you were the one who beat them first and also, laughed at them.
For the time being I have no choice but to return to that house that I found myself in. To not arouse any doubts on my behaviour, I did all the chores that was assigned to me.
When I completed all the chores, that woman gave me some food for dinner. Trust me the food was the worst thing I have ever eaten. After eating, I returned back to that room.
At midnight I sneaked out of the house while the inhabitants of the house were sleeping. Time for some spying. Are you ready everyone? Time to be 007.
