CHAPTER 23 💜 24
(Day 2:evening)
Neriah stayed comfortably in Lucifer's arms as they watched the stars. Presently they were lying on the rooftop of the mansion. The architect of the mansion was surely a pro. A room was made upstairs and a button was made to open the roof of the room making it look like a roof top.
The mansion looks like a typical rich man's house without a reachable rooftop but who would think the roof could be opened giving a perfect view of the stars.
"Tell me a story"Neriah said and Lucifer chuckled.
"I don't know any story at least no good story"Lucifer said calmly and Neriah sat up as she gazed at him.
"Then tell me your story"said Neriah and Lucifer stared at her with a smile.
"My story is not an interesting one."Lucifer simply said and he sighed as he noticed the disappointed look on her face.
"What do you want to know about me?"asked Lucifer as he looked into the sky.
"Everything including how you managed to survive till this day with no parents by your side"Neriah squealed as her face sparkled with curiosity and Lucifer sighed.
"I won't tell you"he said and Neriah grumbled in disappointment and he chuckled.
"But I will show you all of it"said Lucifer as he held Neriah's hands taking her into his ugly past.
He didn't want her to see any of his past, she is too innocent to know about his ugly past but he didn't want to disappoint her.
If she wanted to know it then,he will show her all of it.

(Into the past)
A young boy crawled out of a cave as his red eyes shined brightly under the sun and he giggled loudly as he jumped on a white wolf who growled playfully at him. He was pulled away by the wolf with it's teeth.
The wolf kept on pulling the boy till they got to a small river and the wolf loosen it's grip on the boy as it flipped the boy on the water surface.
One would think the wolf was being wicked but on a second look,it was being kind. The boy was so dirty and it was only trying to bathe it.
After a while he pulled the boy up and placed him on a nearby grass as it licked his body. The little boy giggled loudly and rolled over. The wolf purred softly and left the boy's side as it walked towards a corner.
It came out a few minutes later with a freshly killed antelope dripping blood held tightly to it's teeth. He dropped it in front of the boy and gently tore it apart with it's claws as he fed it to the little boy who happily took it in.
Soon howling of wolves were heard and the white wolf quickly took a defence stance in front of the small boy glaring dangerously at the wolves before them.
Loud howls filled the air as the wolves attacked the small boy but the white wolf was quick in tearing them all apart. It turned to the small boy howling happily although it sustained some injuries but he ignored it as he kept on feeding the little boy.

Neriah couldn't stop the tears from flowing down her face. Suffering was an understatement of what this poor boy was experiencing.
Who feeds a small child raw meat?but the wolf was ignorant and probably just wanted to help the boy.
"We can stop if you have had enough" Lucifer said and Neriah nodded negatively.
"I want to see it all"she said as she wiped her tears and Lucifer sighed as he took her further.

(Into the past)
Deep inside the forest, screams of pain was heard. A little boy of about 10yrs old was wailing painfully as his skin tore open and his bone cracked. It was obvious his screams were minor to the pain he was feeling.
No one was around except the same white wolf who could do nothing but whimper softly in agony as it maintained its distance from the boy.
Suddenly a large black wolf with silver lining emerged in replacement to the boy and its red eyes shined brighter.
The white wolf bowed down in submission. The black wolf walked towards the black wolf as it licked his body making the white wolf look up in surprise and the black wolf howled. In no time the two wolf were seen running around and playing as they howled happily.
Suddenly the heavens roared as rain poured down and everywhere turned chilly. The black wolf tensed up as it fell to the floor and the whole process reoccurred.
Bones cracking and reforming as screams filled the hair. The wolf transformed back to the small boy but this time he had a silver hair and its red eyes had golden sparkles as it glared emotionlessly at the white wolf who stepped back in fear.
Suddenly,it teleported behind the white wolf and the wolf bent helplessly ready to face it's death. To his surprise the boy moved towards it and patted it's fur as it smiled at it.
The white wolf purred in approval and jumped on the boy as it licked it's face.
It was obvious they were having a good time forgetting the series of pain the boy had gone through earlier.

"This was the first time I met my demon and wolf and also the beginning of my doom"said Lucifer and Neriah looked at him questioningly.
Her eyeballs were red from tears but she still didn't want to stop. She wanted to see everything he had been through.
Lucifer sighed as he read her thoughts. She shouldn't ask for more than she could take.
"The awakening of my wolf and demon alerted the other supernaturals to know that I still exist and up till date they are still on the quest to kill me"Lucifer explained and Neriah sighed sadly as her eyes dawned in realization.
Where is the white wolf?
She had never seen it around or did Lucifer abandon the wolf after all it did for him.
With that thought in mind,she glared at Lucifer who chuckled sadly.
"You think so low of me. Am not that heartless you know but they are heartless."Lucifer said as his eyes darkened.
"They killed her."he added and Neriah gasped as her hand flew to her mouth.
Lucifer knew that he shouldn't show her how 'Mamae' as he do call his wolf,mother and best friend died but he still wanted to. He was going to show it all to her and have somebody to share his pains with.

The white wolf was seen running speedily towards a cave as it howled softly trying to grab the attention of a guy taking a nap.
"What is it,mamae?"the guy snapped angrily as he stared at the wolf with his red eyes while the wolf whimpered softly before running out back.
Taking the hint,the young man ran after the wolf till they got to a spot and the wolf stopped and sniffed the air. The young man did the same and his eyes darkened in realization.
"Vampires!"he spat with disgust and the wolf howled in agreement.
"Go ahead and hide in the cave. I will take care of them"said the young man as he patted the wolf's fur and the wolf left.
Pale looking men approached the red- eyed man as their lips curled up into a smirk at the sight of him.
"Look who we have here,the evil Lucifer"spat one of the vampires and the red-eyed kept quiet.
He had always been called 'Lucifer' though that wasn't his name. Who was he kidding?he had no name.
"Leave if you want to live" the red eyed stated simply an the vampires laughed loudly.
"That should be our line"said another vampire as they moved closer and the red-eyed stepped back.
"You,coward. Let me take over"said a voice within him and he nodded in disapproval as he started running through the forest.
He knew every corners of the forest so it was easy to lose them and he breathed out in relieve as he thought that he was safe.
"See what we have here. Just what we've been searching for"he heard behind him and he turned. He was shocked to see a group of hairy men shooting daggers at him with their eyes. It was obvious that they were werewolves with their appearance.
"This won't be as worst as the vampires. Am part of them too"he thought as he smiled to them.
"We shouldn't fight against each other. Wolves should defend each other"he said trying to reason with them but they all burst into a mocking laughter.
One of them walked towards him with a mocking smile.
"You aren't among us. In fact you aren't among anyone. You are evil and you will bring destruction to the world"said that man and the red-eyed couldn't understand.
He had done nothing ever since he was born yet they claim he will bring destruction o the world. So doing nothing could bring destruction to the world??
"Attack him"yelled a man who looked like the leader and they ran towards him.
"Stop!"a feminine but powerful voice said and they all paused as a beautiful woman walked to the front and approached him.
She looked young but deep into her eyes held the number of years she already lived. She stood in front of him and caressed his face lovingly as she gazed at him.
He hated physical touch but the touch if this lady felt familiar like he knew her. Like he was part of her.
"Thank you for surviving until now. It's a pity you have to go now"said the woman as her gaze turned cold and she stepped away from him.
"Kill him"she ordered as she disappeared into thin air and the red-eyed froze at a spot. He couldn't fathom what just happened as he stared into space.
A loud painful howl brought him back as he stared at the white wolf bathed in blood before him.
"Mamae!" he cried out as he ran towards it with teary eyes.
He held the wolf and turned to look at it's wound. It must have defended him against a dagger thrown by the werewolves.
"I fucking told you to stay in the cave"he barked as he held it tight. His tears were uncontrollable as he held it tight. Suddenly the wolf went limp in his hands and he stared at it as it breathed its last.
"Rest in peace,mamae."he said calmly as he closed its eyes and dropped it down.
His calm expression was contrary to the cold aura he emitted. Everywhere turned chilly and he roared angrily in pain,agony and anger. His hair turned silver and furs began to grow on his arms. It was the first time his wolf and demon came out at once in agreement with him as they combined to destroy those who killed their mamae.
He moved closer as he stared at the werewolves who were now terrified as they tried running but their speed were no match for his.
He killed everyone of them and he made sure none died peacefully. He either tore of their heads or broke their bones one after the other.
After the bloody war,he turned and carefully picked up Mamae as he walked towards the cave. He digged up a grave and buried Mamae there.
That moment he knew that his fate can't be avoided and he picked up the name 'Lucifer'. He knew for sure that the woman who touched his face knew a lot about his existence and that led to him searching for the her who turned out to be his mother.

Neriah turned to Lucifer and she saw his eyes red. It was obvious he was holding back his tears and emotions. She felt sorry that she had to re-open old scars. He had been through a lot yet he still managed to smile whenever he was with her.
If she went through half of that then she will surely lose the ability to be happy ever again. He was worth to be the strong Lucifer as he had endured a lot and she couldn't help but feel that his Lucifer was different.
He wasn't as evil as they thought of him but who was she to judge other's point of view.
Lucifer smiled as he stared at his mate. Fuck other's point of view, as long as she had a better opinion of him then he was all good.
"It's late,you have to go to bed now. There's a whole long journey waiting for you tomorrow"Lucifer said referring to her return to her home and she nodded affirmatively.
"Goodnight"she said as she left to her room and Lucifer sighed sadly.
He wished she would she tell him she was no longer leaving. He wished all that she had seen who make her stay with him.
Yes,he was being selfish but what would you have him do? He didn't want to go back to the dark life he had without her. She was his lamp and he wanted her to brighten his life forever but not all wishes are fulfilled,right?
"It's gonna be a long night"he muttered as he stared back to the sky.
