CHAPTER 35 💜 36
Lucifer balled his fists tightly as he struggled to control himself from snapping the neck of the woman before him. The woman who calls herself 'his mother'.
"Get yourself together. You don't want your mate's father to see you as a monster,right? Besides we are in the human world"she mind linked him and he glared at her.
"How could she do that?"he wondered as he stared questioningly at her and she smiled lightly.
"Am your mother so I have a great connection to you"she mind linked again and he scoffed.
"Connection,my foot. You fucking abandoned me,like that wasn't enough, you told them to kill me"Lucifer mind linked her back as he gritted his teeth.
Neriah stared between them in confusion. They hadn't said a word since but she felt like they were communicating with each other. Their stares were getting more intense as time went by.
A loud chuckle got them looking away from each other and Neriah turned to see her father standing at the end of the staircase. Her curiosity flew away as she ran into her father's arms smiling broadly.
Mr Amstel hugged his daughter tightly but his attention was on the man standing behind her. The aura around him was so dangerous and he knew for once that he wasn't human.
"I guess I can't evade fate"he thought as he stared at Lucifer.
Neriah was just two years old when he and Ciara,her mother visited a shaman's place for her future reading. The shaman had said some particular words that he never forgot.
"She belongs to Lucifer and he will come for her. She doesn't have a long life but she will be back for him. Don't try to interfere in her life's journey because to you she's your daughter but to the world she's Lucifer's mate and the savior of the supernaturals"
Ciara was a cryptologist so he knew much about the mystical creatures from her. She also made research about them and of course he knew that his second wife,Eliana is a werewolf but they decided to keep all this from Neriah. Exposing her to this might make her develop interest in them but fate can't be evaded,can it?
He thought about it and when he tried marrying her off she went missing. He was worried at first but when he recalled the shaman's words then he knew he must have come for her.
Neriah pulled away from the hug as she stared at her dad with a loving gaze but she noticed her father's eyes on someone behind her. She turned back and noticed that he was staring at Lucifer,with a loud gasp she hurriedly went to Lucifer's side and entwined her hands with his.
"Meet Lucian,my fiancé. You must have wondered where I went to for over a month now. Well, I have been at his place since you wanted to marry me off so I decided to hide for a while"Neriah said hurriedly.
She was so nervous but to her surprise Lucifer looked calm as he stared at her father. Wasn't he nervous a while ago?
"Oh I see! Lucian,that's a nice name"Mr Amstel said as he sat on the couch and Eliana came to sit beside him smiling.
Lucian! Her son's name was Lucifer!
Neriah also sat down pulling Lucifer to sit beside her.
"So you are Lucian what?"Mr Amstel asked and Lucifer grunted silently.
"Lucian....."he was about to say but Neiah interrupted him.
"Lucian Frediano" Neriah quickly interjected and Mr. Amstel chuckled.
His little daughter was really trying to cover up for her devil.
"Frediano?? That sounds Italian."Mr Amstel said and Lucifer was about to speak when Neriah signalled to him not to.
"Yes,his father is an Italian while his mother is an American"Neriah said with a nervous smile.
Seems like living with the devil had taught her to lie without even blinking an eyelid.
Eliana muffled her laugh as she stared at her son's mate. No doubt, that they were made for each other.
She knew Neriah was Lucifer's mate and that was one of the reasons she got married to Amstel.
Ciara,Neriah's mother was her human friend and she helped Ciara with her investigations. Ciara was killed by the vampires on one of her usual outings but they had to hide the truth from Neriah.
She had promised Ciara to do everything possible to make sure Neriah don't end up being Lucifer's mate though she knew that the chances are slim.
She had been wicked to Neriah because she looked so much like Ciara,reminding her of her promise. She knew that her son,Lucifer needs his mate but she couldn't allow the bad fate that Neriah had to take place. The book of prophecy read thus:
"....She will come with the fifth reincarnation and she will change the history of the past Lucifer's. She will teach him humanity and make him experience love,happiness,trust,sacrifice and loss but she will also teach him how to wait. She will leave while trying to save him but she wasn't killed by anyone. It was just her time to go. She will be back for him and then all those who wanted her downfall shall bath with bloodshed. She's the chosen one for the unite of the supernaturals"
She knew that Neriah was going to leave soon and seeing how strong her bond was with Lucifer then it will happen soon. She had tested Lucifer's abilities in many ways to be sure he could protect Neriah.
Especially when she asked the werewolves to kill him. She stayed behind and watched him fight them off then she knew that he was strong but also too weak to protect Neriah.
"I guess I will allow fate take its course"muttered Eliana as she paid attention to them again.

"What do you do for a living?"Mr Amstel asked Lucifer who smirked.
"He's a private investigator. All other information are top secrets for security purposes"Neriah lied through her teeth not allowing Lucifer say a word.
"Is he mute? How come you have been the only one talking?"asked Eliana. She wanted to tease the couples a bit and as expected they both glared at her.
"Where are your parents?"asked Mr. Amstel and Neriah made to speak up again but he signalled to her to keep quiet.
"Let him speak"he added and Lucifer let out a light chuckle as he gave Neriah a reassuring nod.
"You seem eager to her my voice,mother-in-law"Lucifer said glaring at Eliana who smiled in return.
"Well,you asked about my parents but unfortunately I have none. My mother is a psycho who threw her own child away and my father is one perverted man who cares about nothing but pussy and since I have a dick. I am of no use to him"Lucifer said with a smirk not removing his gaze from Mr.Amstel and Eliaha who froze at the spot and Neriah stared at him with wide-eye.
Lucifer chuckled as he saw his supposed father in law speechless. Well,he wanted him to talk and now he did so what's with the shocked reaction. What he said was true,he heard his father was a Lust demon and vampire.
He also knew he didn't care about his mother's pregnancy. To him,it was a fling that shouldn't result in a child but his mother was blinded with love so she kept him alive till birth then she threw him out to die.
"Well, you made a bad impression at our first meeting"said Mr Amstel as he stood up and he stretched his hand for handshake.
"Well,it's a pleasure"said Lucifer as he equally stood up and accept the handshake.
"I heard you like fresh grape wine. Well this is a wine I personally extracted from my grape vineyard"said Lucifer as he checked beside the couch he sat on and brought out a bottle of grape wine and a bag surprising Eliana and Neriah.
Neriah was sure he brought nothing along when coming and she didn't tell him about her father being a grape-wine lover. So was this the perks of being a supernatural??
Eliana smirked as she stared at her son. He really knew the right places to use his powers.
"Thank you"Mr Amstel said as he accepted the wine and Lucifer nodded in reply turning to Eliana.
"Well,mother in law I brought something for you too. I held you are practically obsessed with fur especially white ones. So I brought one for you"Lucifer said as he gave her the bag.
Eliana opened the bag and her hands shook as she saw the clothes inside. She knew this fur very well. It was the fur she wrapped him with when she threw him away. It was gifted to her by his father. She looked up and saw him smirking at her as tears formed in her eyes.
Lucifer loved the reaction he was getting from Eliana. He had kept this fur for a day like this when he will get to return it to her.
"Stay here for tonight. You can go back tomorrow"Eliana said sniffing and Neriah was about to disagree when Lucifer held her back.
"Okay,I will love to"said Lucifer as he pulled Neriah closer and wrapped his arms around her.
"If you don't mind we will be going to her room"said Lucifer as he pulled Neriah up the stairs.
