"You wish. I have given you the chance but you wasted it. Greet all those you will find in the other side," Athan said his words laced with a cold that crawled down the spine.
The orc, seeing the arrogant human, was angered as swung its sword at him with the sharp edge. The sword came at a blinding speed leaving a white flash behind it. Everyone there could keep up with the speed of the slash.
But to Athan, it was in slow motion. He could see the trajectory of the slash and he could even tell the power in that one swing.
"Stand aside!" The girl with the veil shouted on top of her voice when she saw the guy was not even moving or drawing his sword.
Athan was enraged. Especially with the girls. They dared come here and ruin his fight. He wanted to take care of the orc first then teach them a lesson.
He drew his sword from it sheath. The sword was tons of times longer than it appeared to be in its sheath. His eyes lit with flames from the depth of hell as the unsheathing sound of the sword filled the atmosphere.
The wind that had been blowing from him became even more violent and when the sword was fully drawn, it was impossible to tell its true color. It had a mixture of glows on it such that rather than a sword, it just appeared like colors. Having blue, red and green.
He swung the sword in his hand as the sword slicing down at him reached halfway from him and the orc. Perfect. He thought as he knew that with the orc's sword already halfway slicing, the orc could never counter.
No one saw it but he suddenly disappeared from his position. He flashed sideways and like there was a spring on his feet, he leapt into the air at blinding speed and appeared behind the orc with his sword slashing at its neck.
The orc was confused when the human disappeared but he appeared above it. The orc's sword approached the ground. The orc had given up on defending for it was holding its sword with both hands and it was also impossible to change its attack direction as it had put all its strength in that one swing.
Also, it had utmost faith in its hard body knowing that it could take an attack like that one that would not damage it. But rather than the pain of being hit, there was no pain, instead, there was a burning sensation on its neck which did not last for more than a second.
It was impossible to tell what had happened to it but the fact that it could see the world upside down was enough proof that that one slice had killed it. Its head rolled in the air with its eyes wide open. It fell meters away with wide open eyes.
Athan landed in front of the orc as it dropped behind him blood gushing from it's severed neck. What to behold here was the fact that his sword did not have the slightest of blood on it.
Athan landed with his sword pointed sideways as he raised his head to look at the five who were looking at him with horrified gazes. He did not sheath his sword as he flashed and appeared before the girls.
His eyes were still glowing as he raised his eyes and looked at the veiled girl. When their eyes met, she felt he fingers shake and she unconsciously took a step backwards. He raised his sword and placed it on her neck.
The other four girls tried to raise their swords but just one glance made them stop and take steps back. A savage smile appeared on his lips as he looked at the girl.
"I have a desire to teach you all a lesson you will never forget..." Athan started. This caused the girls to get scared. Had they just appeared before a maniac? Who knew just how long he had not done that thing? Yet, here they were dressed as they wanted standing in front of a depraved man.
They had all witnessed his strength and it was undeniable proof to them all that they could not take him down even with their treasures. Their thoughts ran wild as they thought of a group rape...
This caused their cheeks to turn crimson as they closed their legs tightly together. Still their thoughts did not recover. They were now beginning to wonder who he could begin with. Instead of thinking of this as rape, they started thinking of it as group s*x...
If Athan heard their thoughts, he would not even question them. He would just disappear.
"Foolish girls..." Athan was just about to question them when the four girls all spoke in unison.
"Group s*x..."
Athan blinked several times as he registered just what they were saying. Athan felt like he had just been standing on sharp knife edges as he jump away meters from the girls.
His heart beat loudly and he was sure that he could hear it with his ears. What was wrong with these girls? Group... F*ck! He now understood their thoughts and they were now thinking that he was planning on raping them...
Like were they for real? Had he just crossed a bunch of idiots? He recovered as he looked at the veiled girl who was facepalming. One could already guess the look under the veil but the four girls were in their own world.
"Ya'll are just lost sheep. Fine. If that is what you want, then do not blame me for being rough," Athan said as he walked towards them once again. This time he sheathed his sword.
He reached the girls and only the veiled one had any shred of sanity left inside her for the other four were already gone to different worlds. Maybe a bed... He reached the girl and stood a meter before her.
"Listen. I do not know what got into those mud brained heads of yours that made you think that you could kill the orc. I had to wake up fast so that you fools could not die.
"Just make sure that next time you and those foolish girls always following you around do not end up getting yourselves killed for if you do not clean the mud in those brains of yours, you are not going to survive this wasteland," Athan said nonchalantly and turned to leave.
He just did not know the impact of his words. The girls who had just been in a fantasy world had all been brought back by his words. Mud brains...
For the first time in their lives, someone had insulted their intelligence. The only words ringing in those brains of theirs was the word mud brains. They were the smartest in their family and that was why they had been sent with the young miss of their family.
Yet... Someone here was insulting their intelligence. No girl would stand it when someone insulted their intelligence. Especially when they had utmost belief that they were smart.
"Who did you just call mud brains?" The girl who spoke most asked. The other three were just as angry as her. They raised their swords and pointed at the guy who was just turning to walk away.
"Stop there! Who the hell do you think you are to insult us? You must have lost value with your life. If you think that you are going to escape from us, then you are mistaken," she said her voice at the highest pitch and volume she could produce.
Athan stopped and chuckled. The veiled girl facepalmed again. They really were mud brained. Athan turned with a smile that would drive any girl mad. His hair flew behind him as the girls all paused. Taking a celebrity pose.
Athan knew of this smile. It was one he had practiced everyday before going to class after he became a suicide celebrity. This was enough to drive all the girls in his class insane.
As for these four, they were perfect to bring back the old days memories. The girls who were pointing their swords at him had their hands trembling as they zipped their mouths not wanting to let the words burning in their chest out.
They could not take it anymore as they all flew into the fantasy world once again with all of them uttering the same word.
"Cute!"
Athan returned his distant gaze and his face turned cold. He had just got carried in the moment. He scoffed and turned to walk away.
" Oye mud brains. Do not forget why your brains are made of mud," Athan said as he started walking away.
"Uhm... mister... What is you name or what family are you from?" The girl with the veil asked.
Athan paused and looked at her. He smiled a sad smile as he looked at the sky.
"My family? I think they are in the stars. I am trying to find ways to reach them. Do you think that you can help me reach them?" Athan asked.
His words were clear for any smart person to understand. There was a change in the girl's gaze as she spoke again.
" Is that why you let that orc beat you to death?" She asked.
" Mind your business..." Athan said and without even another word, he leapt to the top of one of the buildings.
Just like that, he disappeared under her complex gaze...
