Chapter 9 - Chapter 9. High Orc 2

Athan hit the ground and bounced twice. The crack on his back was actually his spine breaking. The orc was eager to finish him off as it raised its leg and stomped on to his chest causing several cracks.

Not yet satisfied, the orc raised its foot and kicked him so hard that there were several more cracks on his chest. He was sent flying with his eyes closed. But his lips gave a different meaning.

The smile caused the orc to boil in rage as it shot towards his direction at speed faster than what Athan was flying at. The orc kicked him upwards before he could hit the walls and while he was at the peak, the orc jumped after him and gave him a spinning kick.

For sure, there was not a single bone left intact, they had all been shattered. But that was not the end. The orc landed after him and stepped on him with both feet. That alone was enough to kill him him.

The orc stepped away from his body and kicked him sideways . It looked at him and saw the smile on his face had already been distorted. It hit its chest as it roared. Just a mere human trying to give it a challenge.

In one of the buildings. On cold see a group of girls. They were five in number. They had different armor on their bodies and swords. A girl at the corner was holding a spear. What they all had in common were the bangles they had on their wrists. Also their brown hair.

As for the girl with the spear, she had extra features in her armor and also had a red veil covering her face. From her uncovered upper face, the only thing that stood out were her hazel eyes and her brown hair.

They all were standing at a window staring at a scene. They were here to hunt but few minutes ago, the had heard a rock fall. They had all rushed to see what was getting destroyed but what they saw was a guy who had fallen on his front.

They were tempted to go save him but the veiled lady had stopped them. The girls were about to ask why when they saw the guy stand up and behave as though nothing had just happened to him.

They could already guess that he had jumped from the top of that tall building. Even a martial artist was bound to take some damage but he had not... But that was not the main reason the veiled lady had stopped them.

An orc appeared before the guy as soon as he stood up. What shocked them was the fact that he had survived all this time alone in such a dangerous place.

"Should we go down now?" One of the girls asked. She had an armor closer to the one the veiled lady was wearing. As for all these girls, they had eyes that paled in comparison to the girl with a red veil.

"No. I want to see how he has survived all this time. I think that he is strong," the girl with the veil spoke.

"He may be strong but do you not know just how strong orcs are? Not even we stand a high chance if we go on our own," the same girl who had spoken first said and the rest nodded in agreement.

"We are not saints to save anyone we find in trouble. Let him learn his lesson," the veiled girl dismissed them.

"But he is handsome..."All four girls spoke in unison.

"I do not care. No one is worthy before my eyes. Just cut the chase. We are going to fight after he has done some damage," the veiled girl said.

The four sighed in unison and pulled long faces as they stared at the ground below them. It seemed the boy was just speaking with the orc. What was he? A fool? But as soon as they stopped talking, the orc raised its sword and slammed it on the guy's chest.

It was difficult to believe. Was the guy for real. Even an amateur could dodge or at least try to dodge. They saw him crash into buildings and soon the orc followed after him and pulled him with its hands grabbing his head.

They watched as the guy took another hit and did not dodge again. They panicked. They had thought that he would put up a fight but he had not even raised his hand and was just receiving damage.

"We must save him," the four girls said in unison.

"We are not saints. I wonder how he got this far. The weak are not meant for this world. Let him just leave the world regretting his ignorance," the veiled lady said and the four girls pulled out an even longer face.

In the next instant. There was a pin drop silence. They just saw the death of a handsome guy. He was flung upwards and then kicked from above and that was the end of him. They all shot angry glares at the veiled lady.

They watched the orc land on him and kicked him sideways. The act broke the four girls' heart as the veiled lady just ignored them. After the orc finished him off, the orc turned around and the veiled lady stepped forward.

"I thought that he would at least put up a fight. Just a good for nothing. Let's end the orc that took one of our kind. All charge," the lady said as she led the way jumping from the window.

The four girls jumped after her and they all landed before the orc. They surrounded it in seconds and each of them held their weapons tightly. The orc looked at the five of them menacingly.

It let out a laugh that sounded like mocking. The girls also knew that they stood no big chance. They had just seen how fast the orc was. Yet there dared surround it. But they believed in themselves...

They initiated the attack with the veiled throwing her spear. The spear attack seemed as a casual attack but there was a certain danger feeling at its tip. The spear's tip shone with a white light as it tore through the air.

The orc was dumb but it was battle oriented. It dared not take any attack casually. It swung its sword and slashed at the spear but that was what they were all waiting for. The moment it was attacking with its guard completely lowered.

The four girls all charged at the orc and each one of them unleashed a powerful attack. But their attacks did little damage. The orc roared as it realized that it had been played. With just that one single attack, the orc had raised it guard tenfold.

The girls all assembled together and stood in an arc before the orc. The orc was about to swing its sword when it stopped. Even the girls stopped when they heard a cough behind them.

They too turned to look at the guy who was struggling to stand up. He stood up and staggered forward. He took steps forward and his steps were unsteady. He reached the girls and stood there still shaking like a tree on a windy day threatening to fall.

"This is my prey. All of you get out of my sight!" He said with his voice hoarse. This caused all six of them to chuckle. Could he not see his body? Even his fingers were broken and his breath came in and out with a whizzing sound.

The orc was the one that laughed most. The veiled girl had just chuckled but the four girls laughed before they realized his situation. They were suddenly happy that he was still alive.

"Humans really are a funny species," the orc said with a deep voice. When the girls heard it talk, they knew that they were doomed. This was not just any orc but a high orc. It was on top of its species and even more powerful.

"Listen demon, you have failed to fulfil your task. I had given you all the time to kill me yet all you have done is to play around with my body like a ball. Since you failed to honor your side of your bet, I am going to do so for my side," Athan said as his hair rose.

His voice was hoarse just few seconds ago but now, it was back to normal. His words seemed to carry some weight in them that made the girls step away from his path as he walked forward.

"Hahaha! Human. This is the first time I am seeing a human with a tough body as you. It just gives me the desire to kill you even more," the orc said with a laugh that sounded deep from the abyss.

The girls took a step back but the veiled girl still managed to hold her position. Though she did it with gritted teeth. They had expected the deathly aura they were feeling to come from the orc but it was unexpectedly coming from the guy walking past them.

It felt as though they were under scorching hell. Like they were being burned alive. The feeling was accompanied with a heavy feeling on the chest like a mountain had been placed on their chests.

Wherever the cold was coming from, they could not tell but their legs were shaking. The aura was impossible to come from a guy not much older than them. The veiled girl could not take it anymore and took a step back too.

Athan raised his head but his eyes did not gaze at the orc but on the ground. His words caused the orcs eyes to open wide with horror...
