"Hello there, ladies and gentlemen. Arriving at the first floor, Kang started slapping hunters on his way with Disorient. Those who fell under the ability's effect started teaming up and attacking others, making him wonder what they were experiencing to push them this far.
'It's great that the time is only 20 seconds. Otherwise, I believe they could fight to the death.' Watching the ones collapse the moment the effect ended, Kang casually blocked the ones rushing at him aside before climbing the stairs to the next floor. Since those hunters were going to become his, Kang showed as much mercy as he could by just beating them enough so they would call their guild leader in.
"This insignia is quite nice, maybe if I mess it up then the fucker would come faster." Looking through the glass windows as he climbed, Kang made up his mind to mess his target up. Soon enough, Kang reached the floor where the hunters were mostly B-rank and above.
"Your rank is fine, but you are clumsy. Well, I will most likely raise the standards to accept A-rank hunters only, but I suppose you could be used in one way or another." Shocking his head, Kang took every single chance he had to casually disarm and drop his opponents to the ground without fatally harming them.
"A nice gem, maybe I should implement something similar," Arriving at the 8th floor, Kang entered what seemed to be a gym where the hunters were exercising and training with each other.
"Maybe I could have heavy weights to improve muscles and some old-school machines upgraded to handle hunters." Despite being called a gym, this was way closer to an arena than an actual gym. Perhaps due to hunters no longer needing such things available to normal humans due to their overwhelming strength, but Kang didn't hesitate to mobilize anything capable of strengthening humanity.
"Hey there, hunters! Would you like to play a game with a fellow hunter?" Stepping forward inside one of the arenas, Kang kicked the two fighters occupying it out before shouting loud enough to bring everyone's attention.
"I'll stand still and each of you will get a chance to land a hit on me, if you succeed, you win and get a nice sum of coins. If you fail, you get slapped, nothing much, right?" Standing in the center, Kang held both of his hands behind his back before announcing the challenge rules.
"Of course, this might be too boring so we will have to spice it up, at least to you. Don't you agree? Well, well, how about we increase the reward by a million coins every time a challenger fails?" Looking around him, Kang noted that there were about a hundred or more present with the least being A-rank and the majority being a mix of B and C-rankers.
"Yes, I believe that's quite appealing enough. You may start if you wish, higher-ranked hunters get priority of course." Waving one of his hands, Kang announced the beginning of his game as the hunters began taking turns. Yet all Kang did was mostly move his shoulders and upper body to dodge while keeping note of the better ones to remember them later.
When the total sum reached fifty million, Kang started drifting toward boredom as the number of those who were interested was becoming less and less. Finally, something unexpected happened as one of the C-ranked hunters forced Kang to move his legs due to the boy's wits.
"Decent enough, still a failure since you failed to land a hit." Punching the boy softly, Kang sent him flying out like those who fought before him. Ending the game, Kang casually put the remaining ones under Disorient's effect, causing them to fight against each other before moving to the ninth floor.
Arriving at what seemed to be the control, Kang created a single acid bomb before separating into eight parts using his ability. Throwing the bombs at the electrics around him, Kang caused a chain of sparks before the machines were caught on fire a few moments later.
"What a beauty!" Watching the smoke spread, Kang smiled internally before making his way to his next stop.
"What the hell is this? Ah, I should make something similar to boost morals" Reaching the tenth floor, Kang arrived at what seemed to be a massive, empty celebration hall.
'Since I fucked the floors below, I might as well do this one.' Making up his mind, Kang looked for any surveillance cameras before unleashing his bloody tendrils to stain the place and drown it in an unpleasant smell. Once done, Kang moved on and soon enough he was on the 11th and final floor.
Kicking the locked door open, Kang bragged inside before resting in the Frost Monarch's office.
"Just in case things go awry, I should let Yuna and Aster leave for the time being." Thinking of the aftermath of the fight that could occur due to what he has done, Kang contacted Yuna letting her take Aster and go back to the hotel where they were staying until he was done with his business.
With this out of the way, Kang rested his legs on the desk before searching for another gate to close next. About an hour passed until Kang finally had his first visitor.
Tilting his head slightly, Kang dodged the ice thorn going past him toward the wall behind as two angry figures bragged into the room unannounced. Although the boy wasn't dressed decently for an S-rank hunter, his blue hair and silver eyes matched the Frost Monarch. The same was true for the girl as well, but her hair color was split into two sides, one blue and one silver.
'Did he send his children while his guild was getting destroyed?' Using his detection ability, Kang had a frown on his face. Those two were both A-rankers meaning that the young boy was not the Frost Monarch to begin with.
"Where is Daddy?" Standing up, Kang retrieved his identity card before approaching them quietly with a plan in mind.
