Chapter 25 - Forcing the lion out of its den!

"Why are you breaking the rules, Sir? Do you think the guild master will leave you alone after all you've done?" Witnessing the identity card in Kang's hand, the boy confused Kang since he hadn't known anything such as rules since he came to this city.

"Oh, and what might those rules be? I bend to no such thing, regardless." Strengthening his resolve, Kang stepped forward before knocking both of the children down.

Since they were close to the Frost Monarch to some degree, Kang guessed they had his contact number saved on their phones somewhere and thus he decided to take the phones before tying them to the ceiling upside down.

Comparing contacts, Kang soon found the number he wanted and soon enough he dialed it before fixating the phone on the wall where it was showing everything he wanted to display. Waiting for the call to get accepted, Kang formed a weakened club.

"WHO DARES?" Holding his phone, the Frost Monarch was welcomed by his children with Kang standing next to them. His facial expression and voice proved how mad he was after witnessing what stood before him.

"Why aren't you here, yet?" Hearing the man's voice, Kang spoke loud enough for the other side to hear him.

"I will smash both of them once for every five minutes you waste from my time." Raising his club, Kang proceeded to hit both of them, waking them up from their previous state as their cries echoed through the office.

"HOW DARE YOU? ARE YOU—" Witnessing Kang change the club's form into a sword, the Frost Monarch's voice died for a second as Kang's swing accelerated towards the girl's neck before screaming once again, "STOP IT, YOU CRAZY BASTARD!!!"

"You have exactly one hour to make it to your office. Otherwise, I promise you nothing will remain except their heads." Stopping his sword right in front of her throat, Kang spoke before making his way toward the phone.

"I SWEAR I WILL FUCKING KILL—" Unwilling to hear the man any longer, Kang cut him off before speaking.

"Shut you panty fuck, what a disgrace to humanity!" Forming an acid bomb, Kang threw it at the phone and then turned around toward the children. Watching the approaching psycho, they had grim expressions painting their face, highlighting how terrified they were.

"Your purpose is fulfilled, thus you are no longer needed." Swinging his sword, Kang freed both of them before making his way to the desk.

"Meanwhile, why don't you tell me about the rules until your father arrives?"

"The High Council will never forgive you for what you've done! Did you think you could do anything you wished because you are an S-rank? You've spread chaos, sullied the entire cafeteria in innocent blood, destroyed the entire management room, and messed up the guild's logo!"

"Thanks for stating the obvious, dear. Mind telling me what rules you were speaking about now? Oh, and whatever that high council is, they can fuck off." Clapping sarcastically in response to the girl's words, Kang asked his previous question once again. Due to his weapons and serums, Kang believed his current actions would most likely be ignored for the supplies he could provide.

"Either way, it seems like I struck a soft nerve given your daddy is here." Looking through the glass frame, Kang witnessed the arrival of a bulky man with nothing but shorts covering half of his leg while leaving the rest of his body exposed.

"Feel free to leave if you don't wanna get involved in the upcoming fight." Standing up from his place, Kang stretched his body while subtly warning both of them. A couple of minutes later, the spreading cold announced the arrival of Kang's awaited guest.

Seeing their father, both children into his hug before leaving after a brief talk. Although they were free, it didn't seem to calm down the Frost Monarch at all, which Kang didn't mind in the slightest.

"You are too cocky for someone who had become an S-rank for less than a month!" Disappearing from his place, the Frost Monarch cut the distance before appearing in front of Kang, who responded to the punch with an equally powerful one.

"And you are such a disappointment, an A-ranked hunter at best!" Using his detection ability, Kang was surprised by the fact that the Frost Monarch was considered A-rank despite his strength record reaching 1.7m. Although their current power was visibly equal, Kang found the ice spreading on his arm before tearing it apart.

Using his other arm, Kang punched the Frost Monarch's face while taking the chance to recover his torn arm due to the blind spot he was given free access.

Witnessing Kang's arm back in its place, the Frost Monarch frowned before decisively kicking Kang's stomach with his right knee in an attempt to inflict more damage and pain which could potentially render his opponent defenseless.

Unfortunately, his idea didn't go anywhere as he soon found his face kissing the floor due to Kang taking the chance to land a devastating hit.

"Your ability was helping you, why did you stop using it?" Gripping the Frost Monarch's head, Kang lifted him before suddenly getting caught in the guy's surprise attack.

"Silence you insect," Folding his hand open, the Frost Monarch formed an ice spike before driving it into Kang's exposed stomach, "You shouldn't have done anything if you couldn't handle this much!" Watching Kang feign pain as he clutched his stomach, the Frost Monarch spoke with a grin covering his face.

"This much? Hahaha!" Revealing his unharmed stomach, Kang straightened his back before laughing loudly.

"You seem to have misunderstood one thing here, I've never taken you seriously from start to end and will never do!" Activating his Crimson Armor, Kang drove himself at the Frost Monarch, sending him flying toward the wall before summoning a couple of blood weapons.

"It's about time we skip to our deal, but we can't do that if you are that angry, can we?" Using six of the weapons, Kang struck three on each of the man's arms, pinning him on the wall and preventing him from taking any further actions.
