Chapter 1 - A Surprise In Store

"W-what? Where am I!?"

This is are the first words I uttered after reaching a whole new world unknown to my life. As I looked around in confusion yet awestruck due to the beautiful scene in front of my eyes. I was pretty sure I died, so I decided to recall my memories before continuing.

-Moments earlier before transmigration

"You! Where did you go again!? I told you to look after the kids!", said in an old woman's voice

This is my nanny and the person who took care of me after I lost my parents in a tragic car accident. Despite her harsh words, she only wanted the best for me. She often worked late so that she could pay for my tuition and yet here I am playing games everyday, playing the same game over and over again.

"Seriously, how do you expect yourself to grow up if you continue being like this?", she says while she sweeps the floor.

After receiving her scoldings, since it was the weekends, I took the chance to play the game "Erdaian Life" for the last time, since I already completed it by acquiring the items and different abilities.

"The final weapon, Erdaian Sphere", I said to myself.

"Erdaian Sphere", the final weapon that nobody has ever touched nor discovered due to leaving the game early and playing the new VR ones. Based on the lore I discovered from the game, it was the source of power of the Erdaian Deity and whoever manages to acquire it will become the new deity of the universe of the game.

"This damn bastards! Let me through you damn guardians!", I say while rage spamming the keyboard.

I remembered, I fought the guardians of the sphere inside the game. They were pretty hard to beat due to their complex attack patterns and numerous abilities that were mostly stun and blind type of abilities, added with their immense damage, they are the epitome of power inside the game.

"Finally!", I say in joy while looking at the screen with a smile.

As I defeated the guardians, a gate behind opened. I walked through the long hallway, the walls were bright white and golden, as if I was walking at the hallway of the kingdom of heaven. It was magnificent and glorious, it felt like my 14 years of continuous grinding wasn't in vain.

"T-this is... it!", I say in awe and joy.

As I saw the sphere in the middle of the room, it had the appearance of the cosmos as if you can see everything within it. I activated the skill "Sage's Eye", the sphere was radiating a transparent colored aura, meaning the item is an exception type, an aura meaning that it takes all the types of attributes.

As I grabbed the sphere, I was immediately logged off the game. I tried logging in back, but to no avail. I didn't know what happened but everything felt lost and it was useless to try again so I packed my bags and left the computer cafe.

The moment I crossed the street, I was hit by a truck and there it ended my memory.

-Back to the present

"Is this what they call isekai or something?", I shake my head in confusion

I remember when I was in class, I had a classmate who was obsessed with fantasy transmigration novels. He would often tell the stories to me since nobody else was insterested in it.

"Okay, let's calm down." I breathe heavily

I first took a look at my appearance so I tried to find a nearby pond. For some reason, my appearance looked familiar: the white silver hair, green emerald-like eyes, the familiar ethereal robe...

"This is my game character!", I say with my hands on top of my head in shock.

After recollecting my thoughts, there was one thing missing in these events, a system! Usually systems appear in this kind of situations so where is my system!? I sat down beside the pond and took a breath to calm myself but everytime breathe, I could feel my chest burning hot and it was if my body was light yet strong and filled with vigor and energy.

So to test my theories in my mind, I decided to punch the tree near me. If this was really my character, then my strength is powerful enough to even erase a planet out of existence.

"Here we go...", breathes in.

I charged my fist up to land a powerful blow. As my fist made contact with the tree, I was only able to leave a small crater on it.

"No way... Are you saying I'm this weak!? This can't be!", rolls around in frustration and disappointment.

That's right, when starting the game as a new player, slaying monsters is the best way to grind experience.

*shrieks*

"W-what?", says in surprise.

That sound... As soon as I heard it, my body stiffened up because that sound can only mean one thing, a monster. The bush bustled and the trees around it as well, and its quiet breathing can be heard by my ears.

"What the...", says in shock.

A large wolf, taller than man, with blood red eyes that are staring at me as if it wants to devours me whole. For the second time, it felt like I was gonna die again.

As soon as I took a step back, the gigantic wolf rushed itself at me. My body was as stiff as a rock, I was frozen because I never fought anybody before let alone a gigantic monster with large fangs.

"Get away!", shouts in fear.

I closed my eyes and decided to accept my fate but..., why haven't I died yet? The wolf was moving at fast speed so why am I still not dead yet? I opened my eyes and to my surprise, the sphere that I obtained as the final reward, the "Erdaian Sphere" was in front of me. The time was frozen still and the sphere was right in front of me as if it was looking at me.

The sphere then entered my head in an instant, information and experiences that my character had gone through as I controlled it back then entered inside me. After a few moments then, the frozen time moved once again.

The rushing large wolf continued to attack me but he had one mistake; I took a stance and out of my right hand, a sword with the blade colored with blood.

"Imperial Sun Style: First form: Great Sun Rage!"

The blade heated up to the point that flames engulfed the sword. In a single crescent swing, the wolf was cut in half with traces of burnt flesh at the part where it was sliced.

"Hoo, this'll be pretty fun."
