As soon as we finished with the mana test, Maria immediately ran to grab something. She then brought back another crystal ball but has a different function from the first one.
"This crystal ball contains a large space inside it, it is mainly used to measure a mage's mana capacity amount. I just brought it here because you sir might have the potential to become a powerful mage.", she says.
A mage huh... Back in the game, although classes existed, it didn't determine one's chi capacity or mana capacity. "Erdaian Life" is a mixture of both murim and fantasy, one can choose their own path for themselves. It can be a magic-martial artists, a pure magic sorcerer or mage, a martial artists or weapon master accompanied with a mage's destructive capabilities but... there are certain features that allows you to surpass those limitations.
"Do I just have to keep injecting my mana inside it then?", I ask
"Yes, don't worry about over filling it since this is a high quality crystal ball with the largest space. Not even the renowned 7th class mages were able to fill it up to the brim. So just do your best.", she says.
"Then I'm doing it.", I say.
I placed my palm on top of the ball and let my chi flow inside it in the form of liquid.
When starting your character, you are given three chances to roll your clan. On my final roll, I was lucky to enough to receive the ancient clan within the asura race, a race of powerful martial artists with destructive powers of a mage. The Midokyo ancient clan of the asura lineage, a deity ranked clan within the game. Although there are other deity ranked clans, for me who boasts both skill and power, the Midokyo clan is my best choice. And now, one of the passive perks that the rare Midokyo clan users boasts about, is the passive perk "Immeasurable Astral pool" or in simple terms, infinite chi.
The crystal ball started to fill up at an immense rate, it immediately filled half and still continues to fill it up even after it is full.
"S-sir you can stop now!", Maria shouts.
I broke from my concentration and stopped my chi from flowing. The ball started to crack and I felt an immense danger due to being over filled with energy. I immediately covered the orb with a barrier and let it burst inside.
"A-amazing...! Nobody has been able to fill the crystal before let alone cause it to explode! Not even the proud magic race elves were even to fill it up!", she exclaims.
"Ahaha, I guess I was born different?", I laugh it out.
"That can't be, are you perhaps from a forgotten race!? Such as the deity race!?", she asks.
"Deity race?", I ask
"Wait, do you not know about the deity race? Then I'll explain.", she says wearing glasses on her eyes.
In the beginning of creation, two races were recorded to exist in the written history, the deities and demons. Unlike demons who had the ability to multiply at a fast-rate, deities were born in low population due to the high standards to be called a deity. The first person born from a deity yet did not inherit the common abilities of a deity is now known as the first human. Due to the deities different appearances, they called their low born offsprings similar to the first human as the fathers of their own respective races such as the elves, vampires, mermans, sky-walkers, and other more. After the demonic-deity war, due to the deities low number, they inevitably fell in the hands of the demons and till now, demons continue to ravage the lands.
"Haha, unfortunately I'm just an ordinary human.", I say.
"Well, I guess that's understandable, they've been extinct for billions of years anyway. I apologize, I just got a tad bit excited because of the tremendous power you showed. Now please follow me for your final test.", she walks to the training dummy.
"This'll be your final test, this is a training dummy enhanced by the mages from the blue tower faction. All you have to do is to show your power and attack this dummy.", she says.
"Got it. I recommend you stand aside a bit.", I say with a smile.
"What-"
The sound of the sword passed through her ears like wind. She looked at the dummy beside her, sliced in half.
"That... can't be...", she says to herself.
"Just who is this man?", she asks herself.
She recollected herself and walked me back to the counter.
"This here is your identification card, it contains all your details and basic information about yourself. You can this in gate entrances and a means to identify yourself when needed. Now just fill up this form of an adventurer's oath. It is the final requirement.", she says.
"Wow, I didn't think registering would take this long.", I say before taking the mana pen and signing it.
"With this, you are now an official adventurer of the guild. For the commissions, you may take a look and take one from the guild board behind you.", she says.
"Okay, thank you."
I walked to the board and took at the papers stuck on the board. Commissions from nobles, farmers, merchants, and villagers can be seen. I scanned through the whole board before picking one. The commission I took came from a village who were being harassed by goblins every night. It is said from the books that I read from Paul's that goblins are malicious monsters that raids villages and love to steal gold and jewelry. They even go as far as kidnap women and children for the sake of reproduction.
"Tch, just thinking about it makes me want to erase them."
I went over to the counter took this as my first mission as an adventurer in this world.
-Nighttime, Luscensia's famous Inn, DragonWatch Inn
I laid down my body, feeling the comfort of a bed for a long time.
"I'm still weak, to think I'd be this stuck in this state right after reaching the pinnacle. I feel pathetic.", I mutter to myself.
I took a look at the village's location at the guild's map. It would take at least four days by foot for me and three days by using qigong techniques. That time wouldn't be enough, what if something already had happened to them by then? No, I'm not the type to feel this down, I'll train myself by then so that I can summon him.
