"Ty, are you done?" She asked her brother when he abruptly stood up and stepped away from the dining table.
She thought a few days away from each other would snap her brother out of his devil-may-care attitude. Well, that did not happen.
Nonetheless, she missed the bubbly, mischievous child who loved to make her life miserable. Her brother, who loved to eat food on her plate, threw pillows at her face but hugged and kissed her when she was sad.
"Yeah! I still have a lot of homework to do." He briefly turned to look at her before he turned to her friend. "Thanks for the bag of cookies, Jill." Her brother forced a smile in her friend's direction before he strode out of the kitchen.
Frankly, she would prefer to find her white bag covered in red paint or her books missing some pages because he used them in his weird projects.
