Belle was shocked to see Zenon in the room , she was sure she had locked the door so how did he get in.
"H- How did you get in here, I locked the door " she immediately stepped away from him as she thought Zenon was going to try to get his way with her, why else would he want to be alone with her?
"Yes you locked the door" but the handle was to easy to break. You talk to much ,I thought you were about starting a fire, don't mind me, carry on." He was interested to see how far she would go, and it peeked his interest.
Belle got scared ,she thought he was joking with her, what if he held her hand and stopped her or even worse, took her back to Rubin.
Zenon couldn't understand her silence and she hadn't moved or taken her eyes of him, "do you wish for me to help you? Is that why you keep staring at me?"
Why would you offer me your help? Belle asked.
Zenon didn't answer but took out a gun he hid, since weapons were not allowed in the brothel, he aimed at the bottles of alcohol that were stacked up." You need to be quick so as not to get caught and your master insulted me"
Belle covered her ear and stumbled back as the bullet from the gun came in contact with the bottles, but they were the only one's who could hear it since the door to the storage was closed off and the music outside was loud enough. She had no idea what Rubin had said to piss him off but she didn't care as enough alcohol had covered most parts of the room which made it easier for her to get things done with.
Belle quickly took the lantern and moved to the window as she glanced at Zenon making sure he wouldn't try anything sine she did not trust him. "You should leave quickly before the fire breaks out.
Zenon took few steps towards her after she had finished speaking. This made belle feel anxious and scared. she took a few steps back until she felt her back hit the wall behind her.
Zenon stood facing belle as he towered over her , his hands reached above her head, belle was scared to imagine what was going to happen , she raised her hands in defense and kept her eye locked to the ground." w-what do you think you are doing, she asked as her voice trembled.
Before she could say anything else , Zenon opened the window that was behind her, and sarcastically gestured towards it," what else would I be doing when you are about to set the place on fire, or you wish for me to stay and make sure the whole place burns down while I am inside."
" If I leave through the door, I might be spotted by someone and later on tagged as the culprit behind your little scheme, I did not come here to get my hands dirty, so my only option is to join you and sneak through the window." Zenon Explained.
He immediately exited the room leaving only belle inside.
Belle waisted no time in throwing the lantern in the direction were the drinks had being spilled, she tried going out the window quickly but stumbled as she was filled with fear that she may be to slow and get burned by the fire, but she was lifted by Zenon.
" Do not lay your hands on me," Belled said as she pushed Zenon, she wanted to thank him for helping her, but found it hard to utter a word. I- I'm sorry i wasn't my intention to push you-
"My apologies" I shouldn't have touched you without your consent.
Belle looked at him stunned as she was surprised by his sudden apology , she never knew the men who came to the brothel to apologize for anything.
"Do you not understand that I have apologized" Why do you stand so still as though you are deaf and how long do you plan to linger around the crime you have committed".
Zenon asked as he noticed the fire spreading wildly behind her.
