The moon began revealing its bright light on the cliff above the river which she was thrown into by the muddy earth, she had sunk into the depth of the river, her lifeless body being pulled by the ocean's force and her blood merging with the ocean as she sank.
The moonlight shone even brighter at the melting of the large cloud that had overshadowed it. The rays of the moonlight moving slowly from the top of the cliff down to the river, linked with the blue ocean water, stirring the ocean water to its depth. Suddenly, her eyes snapped open as if summoned by something divine. She was consumed with a strength that emanated from the full moon, and instantly, she released a deep shout, similar to that of a she-werewolf in labour. Immediately, the baby whose head had already began pulling, popped out of her with much force, releasing it amblican cord to float in the river as the baby sunk deep. She felt an instant relief, one she hadn't felt since she discovered she was with a child and throughout her pregnancy.
She swam to the shore of the river along with the newborn in her hands, with the help of the ocean force.
"Oh my baby" she sobbed holding the baby in her arms as he cried like a human child. His eyes were silver, like the light that reflected from the moon and his hair grey in colour. He was similar to a human child only that he was a hybrid.
She picked the sharp stone which was seated at the shore of the river and used it to cut out the cord from her and rolled the remains on her baby. Then she tore out a portion of her cloth and wrapped around the baby to keep him warm holding him tight on he chest.
"Hello dear" a deep voice echoed softly in the background " Are you ok" he continued reaching out to her.
As he came closer, she quickly stood up scared, limping as she walked away.
"Hey! Hey!" He called out "you are drain and stained with blood. You obviously need help" he followed along "let me help you and your baby" he requested.
She stopped, considering his help for a second because of the offer he made in helping her baby too, as the new born she held eagerly needed help. She did too but she cared less about herself. She didn't want endanger herself and her child now that she had finally escaped the clan.
"Were am I?" she asked in her weary voice.
"You are at the shore of river close to Morrowind city"
"Can I get food if I follow you?" She asked hoping for luck.
"Yes you can" he replied with a deep smile softening his voice "I live just around the corner. Would be glad if you tagged along" he continued excited as if he had captured a new catch. "I have cloths for you. Not any for the young one, but we can get from the store near by"
Her stomach growled, a low rubble that echoed from within her. Her mouth began to water and her nostrils flared as if she had percived something fleshy. "Do you have meat?" She asked in her barely audible voice ignoring all that he had earlier said.
"Meat?" he giggled at her weird request, for someone who was drenched and drained "yes i do" he replied as he walked close to her "my house is at the other end, why don't we walk there? He reached out for her baby offering to help her with him but she quickly pulled away
"Its fine if you don't want me to touch the baby" he let out a smirk. "I won't hurt you or your baby"
The day had broken and sun risen bringing colour to the plantation which they passed through. The flowers bloomed and birds chipped on the high trees. As they walked towards the forest, she held her baby tight protecting him from any danger that waited ahead.
"What's the baby's name" he broke the silence that had lingered for a period of time.
After a while of waiting for a response with none. He continued walking maintain the already existing silence.
"Here we are" he pointed at his cottage, breaking the silence once again "it nothing much" he continued as though he was asked
"Come in" he let out a welcoming hand. As she walked toward the door, he noticed that she had stopped limping and the injury which he had noticed earlier was no more.
Dumbfounded, he followed into the cottage shutting the door behind him. He probably would have sensed danger and a need to run if he had not let his curiosity get the best of him.
What was she and why was her injuries mysteriously held?, what was she doing at the shore of the river drenched this early in the morning?, why was her cloth stained with blood and torn like someone who was tortured?, why was she with a new-born?, did she steal the child? ,did she deliver the child?, what exactly happened to her?
All this questions rang in his head as he headed towards to the kitchen which was very close to were she was seated
"Coffee or tea" he turned assuming she would have a preference "And what would you like to-"
"Meat" she replied abruptly, interrupting him eagerly.
"You've been asking for meat so desperately. Are you a werewolf or something" the man teased lightly, stretching his hand to reach for the kettle that was placed at the table in the kitchen.
"I'll get you something hot to warm you up first" he said while turning to seek her consent. Before he turned fully, she pounced on him, her hands clenched into a fist and her nails digging into him like a hungry wolf who had waited for the right time to attack its prey, devouring him as though he was her last meal.
"Help! Help!" He began screaming until his once so bold and loud voice faded into nothingness.
When she was done feasting, she ransacked his house, taking with her all the raw meat she could find and a few bottles of water. She took her baby who she had kept at the couch and headed for the door. While she paced at the forefront of his cottage navigating the part at which she had come from, she heard the Siren of an emergency car wailing at a far distance.
Earlier, the man had called for an emergency at spotting a young lady who seemed to be in desperate need of medical help.
With a sense of infused danger, she fled the cottage following the part she was nearest to.
