**EXPLANATIONS ABOUT THE SCP FOUNDATION:**

========== **AUTHORIZATION LEVELS** ==========

**Level 0: Only Use For Official**

Level 0 security credentials are granted to non-essential personnel who do not require access to information regarding anomalous objects or entities in containment by the Foundation. Level 0 access is typically given to personnel in administrative, logistical, or janitorial roles in facilities without access to operational data.

**Level 1: Unrestricted (UN)**

Level 1 security credentials are granted to personnel who are in proximity to but have no direct or indirect access to, information about anomalous objects or entities in containment by the Foundation. Level 1 credentials are typically given to personnel working in administrative, logistical, or janitorial roles in facilities with containment capabilities or those who need to handle sensitive information.

**Level 2: Restricted (RE)**

Level 2 security credentials are given to security and research personnel who need direct access to information regarding anomalous objects and entities in containment. Most research teams, field agents, and containment specialists possess Level 2 security credentials.

**Level 3: Confidential (CO)**

Level 3 security credentials are granted to senior security and research personnel who require detailed information about the origin, recovery circumstances, and long-term planning of anomalous objects and entities in containment. Most senior members of research teams, project managers, security officers, response team members, and Mobile Task Force operatives possess Level 3 security credentials.

**Level 4: Secret (SC)**

Level 4 security credentials are given to senior administrators who need access to comprehensive and/or regional information, as well as long-term strategic data involving the Foundation's operations and research projects. Level 4 security credentials are typically granted to Site/Area Directors, Security Directors, or Mobile Task Force Commanders.

**Level 5: Ultra-Secret (US)**

Level 5 security clearance is granted to the highest-ranking administrative personnel in the Foundation and effectively guarantees access to 99% of all strategic or sensitive data. Level 5 credentials are typically given only to members of the O5 Council and select personnel.

**Level 6: Ultra Secret Cosmic (USC)**

Level 6 security clearance is granted only by one person, the "Administrator," who has unlimited access to all information in the Foundation.

Rarely does anyone outside of the Administrator hold this clearance.

========== **FOUNDATION CLASSES** ==========

**Class E:**

Class E is a provisional classification applied to field agents and containment personnel who have been exposed to potentially dangerous effects during the initial capture and containment of a newly designated object, entity, or phenomenon. Class E personnel must be quarantined as soon as possible and can only return to their duties after being interrogated and cleared by psychiatric and medical staff.

**Class D:**

Class D personnel are used to handle extremely hazardous anomalies and are not permitted to have contact with Class A or B personnel. Class D personnel are typically recruited from prisons worldwide, consisting of inmates convicted of violent crimes, especially those sentenced to death. Class D personnel must undergo mandatory psychological evaluations and be administered Class B amnestics or terminated at the end of each month, at the discretion of security or medical staff. In the event of a catastrophic incident, Class D personnel must be immediately exterminated unless deemed necessary for site security.

**Class C:**

Class C personnel have direct access to most anomalies deemed non-hostile or non-dangerous. Those who have had direct contact with mind control or memetic properties must undergo quarantine and psychological evaluation. In case of a containment breach, Class C personnel must report the incident and follow security protocols.

**Class B:**

Class B personnel are essential for local operations of the Foundation and may have access only to objects, entities, and anomalies that have undergone quarantine and have been cleared of any possibilities of mind control or memetic effects. In case of a containment breach, Class B personnel must be evacuated to a secure location as quickly as possible.

**Class A:**

Class A personnel are essential for the Foundation's strategic operations and are not permitted to have direct access to anomalies under any circumstances. In emergencies, Class A personnel must be evacuated to a secure location outside the area. Members of the O5 Council are always Class A.

========== **SCP OBJECT CLASSES** ==========

**Safe:**

Safe-class objects are anomalies that are easily and safely contained, usually because the Foundation has sufficiently researched the SCP, so containment does not require significant resources, or because the anomaly requires specific and conscious activation. However, classifying an SCP as Safe does not mean that handling or activating it poses no threat.

**Euclid:**

Euclid-class objects require more resources to contain completely, or containment is not always feasible, usually due to insufficient understanding or fundamental unpredictability of the SCP. Euclid is the most common Object Class, and it's often a safe guess that an SCP will be of this class if it doesn't easily fit into any of the other standard Object Classes.

**Keter:**

Keter-class objects are excessively difficult to contain consistently or reliably, with containment procedures often being extensive and complex. The Foundation often fails to properly contain Keter SCPs due to not having a solid understanding of the anomalies or lacking the technology to properly contain or counter them. A Keter SCP doesn't necessarily mean that it is dangerous, only that it is very difficult or costly to contain.

**Thaumiel:**

Thaumiel-class objects are anomalies that the Foundation uses to contain or counteract other SCPs or anomalous phenomena. The existence of Thaumiel-class objects is classified at the highest levels of the Foundation, and their locations, functions, and current statuses are known to a few Foundation personnel, aside from the O5 Council.

**Apollyon:**

Apollyon-class SCPs are anomalies that cannot be contained and are associated with imminent containment breaches or other similar scenarios. These anomalies are often related to world-ending threats or some type of K-class scenario and require significant effort from the Foundation to deal with them.

**Archon:**

Archon-class SCPs are anomalies that could theoretically be contained, but for some reason, it is better not to. Archon SCPs may be part of consensual reality and are difficult to fully contain or may have adverse effects if placed in containment. These SCPs are not uncontrollable—the defining characteristic of the class is that the Foundation chooses not to contain the anomaly.

**Author's Note:** These are the basic things to know about the Foundation. The "neutralized" class wasn't included because I don't want any SCP to be completely neutralized.
