Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Unknown Feelings

Ritesh and Ananya's friendship was gradually deepening. What was initially limited to just meeting in a cafe and discussing books, had now become a part of each other's daily lives. Their conversations started out simple, but now there was a depth and emotional connection in their conversations that was changing both of them from within. Both Ritesh and Ananya were feeling this change, but were confused in trying to understand it.

For Ritesh, every moment spent with Ananya had its own importance. Earlier he thought that this was just a good friendship - a connection between two people who have similar interests. But now the situation started changing. Whenever he met Ananya, his heart would fill with a strange happiness. It was more than just the happiness that one feels when meeting a good friend. This happiness was deep, as if it was touching his soul. He wanted to spend every moment of the day with Ananya, whether it was discussing books, drinking coffee in a cafe, or just wandering aimlessly on the streets of the city.

Ritesh's heart was always drawn towards Ananya. When they were together, he felt that his life was complete, as if every question had been answered. Ananya's laughter, the innocence in her words, and her smile—everything felt very special to Ritesh. But when he returned home, there was a strange restlessness in his heart. He would question himself what all this was? Is it just friendship or something more?

One day when Ritesh was sitting in his room, he looked at his phone. He was waiting for a message or a call from Ananya. Earlier it used to be just a habit, but now this waiting had become an essential part. His eyes would go to the phone screen again and again, and he would not feel peace until he got a message from Ananya. This feeling left her confused. She asked herself, "Is this just friendship? Or something more?" This question was troubling her mind.

On the other hand, Ananya was also feeling some changes in her life. Earlier, she used to be very cheerful and carefree. She was never too serious about anything in life. But now, when she was with Ritesh, there was a different depth in her laughter. She now felt every moment deeply. The time spent with Ritesh had given a new dimension to her thinking and understanding. Where earlier she used to talk about light-hearted things, now she felt pleasure in discussing serious topics with Ritesh. Ananya found a strange peace in Ritesh's seriousness and his thoughtful nature.

After every meeting, when Ananya returned to her home, she missed Ritesh. Ritesh had now become an important person in her life, without talking to whom her day felt incomplete. She was trying to keep herself unaware of this feeling, but somewhere in the corner of her heart, she understood that this is more than friendship.

Still, Ananya was not able to accept this feeling. She was afraid that this feeling might change her and Ritesh's friendship. One day, when she was sitting alone, she thought, "Is Ritesh also feeling the same? Is it only from my side?" This question was making her restless from within. She was trying to convince herself that this is just a good friendship, but the beat of her heart was telling something else.

One day, when both of them were sitting in a cafe, Ananya suddenly said, "Ritesh, sometimes I feel like I want to say something to you, but I don't understand what to say." Ritesh looked into her eyes and said with a light smile, "Maybe you are feeling the same as I am." Hearing this, an awkward silence fell between the two. Both of them were trying to find something in each other's eyes, but no one dared to speak out their hearts at that moment.

Ritesh's heart was beating fast. It was now clear to him that this was more than friendship. When he was with Ananya, he felt that he had found all the happiness in the world. But he was afraid that if he spoke out his heart, their friendship would change forever. He was confused by this unknown feeling. Should he speak out his heart? Is Ananya also feeling the same? Is all this just one-sided?

On the other hand, Ananya was also in the same dilemma. She had never thought that she would get so close to someone. Ritesh was not just a good friend for her, but much more than that. But she was also afraid that this feeling might harm their friendship. She too was hesitant to speak out her heart.

Their every meeting had now become more special than ever before. Whenever they met, their conversation was normal, but there was a stir in their hearts. Whenever Ananya said something, Ritesh would listen to her carefully, smile at her laughter, and when she became silent, he would get lost in her eyes. These were the moments in which both of them felt a deep affection towards each other, but it was difficult for them to put this feeling into words.

This was a new phase in their lives—a phase where they were trying to hide their unspoken emotions in the name of friendship. But this feeling rising in their hearts had become a part of their every moment. This was a new form of friendship, which both of them were feeling, but they had not yet been able to understand it completely.

Both Ritesh and Ananya were entangled in this unknown feeling. It was a feeling he couldn't put into words, but it had become a part of every meeting, every conversation, and every silence. The simplicity of his life was over now, and this new experience was set to change his world.
