CHAPTER ONE

"Young man, what are you trying to do?I don't remember inviting this man over to our family dinner." 

A Man voiced, his voice filled with anger and disgust as he glared at the middle-aged man who had just returned from work.

Perry Salvador stood there, his battered briefcase held firmly in his left hand as he glanced around the place.

The Man who had just spoken was Mr Jose Miguel. A Man of a prestigious family. He is one of the richest men in the country.

The whole family seemed to be having a special dinner, and there was an unknown man Perry had never laid his eyes on. The man was neatly dressed and the aura around him spoke of wealth. 

"Who the hell is this?" Perry wondered.

What angered Perry the most was the fact that his wife was sitting near the strange man and both currently held hands.

Hearing the words of the Man known as Mr Jose Miguel. Perry's wife, Katherine Miguel, turned her gaze to face Perry who still stood there in daze.

"Perry, you are back, come join us for dinner" Katherine responded.

Father, we are not in a restaurant or bar. This is where Perry lives and now he is back from work." Katherine responded before shifting her gaze back to the handsome young man beside her and continued her discussion while smiling nonstop.

"How dare you counter my order, I don't care! He could go wait in some bar or something until when we are done! This is a special dinner, and I won't like a moron like him sitting with us!" Mr Jose Miguel retorted with a sneer.

Perry still stood there in silence wondering the reason for this so called "special dinner". Was it because of this man?What is going on here?

Just who is he and why is Katherine so close to him even though he is right in front of them?

"Katherine,I got you these as usual." Ronan informed, stretching forth a local sweet she likes a lot. Even if Perry had little money, he still buys his wife sweets she likes every night he returns from work.

He knew Katherine loved sweets for the local stores, so getting her fresh sweets would only make her happy.

Hearing the words of Perry, Katherine shifted her gaze towards him with a soured expression.

"Oh, Okay, put them in the room for me." Katherine responded emotionlessly before turning her gaze back to the handsome young man.

Perry clenched the pack of sweets in his hand as he fumed in anger. She couldn't even receive the gift he starved himself all day to buy just because of this man.

Perry stood there for a few minutes as he watched the family discuss amongst themselves and treated the man with a lot of respect and treated him like a ghost even though he was their in-law.

"Who is this man? Clearly he is from a rich family but why is he here?What is his plan?" Perry stood there wondering.

"Katherine, what is going on here?, who is this man?" Perry roared throughout the place and caught the attention of everyone, causing them to shift their gazes towards him.

"What the fuck is your Problem,What kind of question is that? Whoever he is, it's none of your business!" Mr Jose Muguel snorted.

"Of course it's my business!" Perry responded in anger as he moved closer to the dining table.

"Perry, relax and calm down!" Katherine couldn't take it anymore. No need to cause a scene over nothing. This is Shawn Pane, my childhood friend who just returned from overseas." Katherine explained while giving Shawn a smile.

"Childhood friend?That's bullshit!" Perry voiced, his gaze fixated on Shawn who just sat there with an innocent look on his face. "I know there is something more!" He added.

"That's enough, Perry! stop embarrassing our guests!" Mr Jose Miguel voiced out with an unpleasant expression.

"And what if there is actually something more? What do you care about? What are you going to do about it?" Mr Jose Miguel rose up from where he sat in anger.

"Father please don't be angry, he is just being childish" Katherine muttered.

"I still don't get why you won't divorce this worthless man already. What does he have to offer you? Divorce him and marry Shawn! 

Shawn just took over his father's company and is now a billionaire, that's the type of man I want as my in-law, not this moron!" Mr Jose Miguel mocked without holding back.
