CHAPTER FOUR
"$500!" The bartender responded instantly with a hand still holding Perry's shirt.
"Okay, no problem. Give me your account details and let me make the transfer." Helen offered. The bartender glared at her for a few minutes with a look of suspicion before giving her his account details.
In a blink of an eye, Helen made the transfer and the bartender's phone chimed In her pocket. She took it out and glanced at the credit alert.
After confirmation, she released Perry's shirt and he also staggered and fell, but Helen caught him."you're lucky I didn't call the Cops on your friend". The bartender said.
"I don't want to see him here ever again!" The bartender retorted before walking back to her post.
Helen placed Perry's arm around her shoulder and began to take him back to her car. She pulled the passenger's seat open and placed Perry gently on the chair before shutting the door and made her way to the driver seat.
The engine was started and Helen began to drive Perry back home. The car was silent as Helen drove through the dimly lit street with her gaze fixated on the road.
Perry's sluggish drunk voice broke the silence from behind as he muttered.
"Why, why, why did she have to do this to me?" Perry muttered drunkenly as tears flowed out.
Helen's car pulled over in front of the Mr jose miguel family mansion and she rushed out to help Perry get out. She pulled the door open and carefully helped Perry out of the car and began to make their way towards the staircase slowly.
When they got to the dimly lit staircase, Helen halted her steps and turned to face Perry who was still extremely drunk.
"This is as far as I can go, Perry. If the family sees me it will only cause more trouble." Helen informed, carefully taking Perry's arm off her shoulder and placed it on the wall. "Just make sure you resolve whatever is going on peacefully, okay?" She added with a look of concern.
Perry didn't utter a word, he only nodded his head in affirmation and began to stagger up the staircase slowly. Helen stood there and watched him go up, and when she was certain he would be fine on his own she exited the place.
"Okay?I'll never be okay,"Perry scoffed.
Perry climbed the staircase and was now in a vast balcony where a table and a chair could be seen at the centre and Katherine could be seen sitting on the chair. She was currently on a call as she talked and laughed shamelessly.
Perry stood there fuming, the cool night breeze made his blonde hair flow and one of his fists clenched tightly. Perry didn't need a priest to tell him Katherine was talking with Shawn pane over the phone.
Even after what happened in the office she still goes back to him like nothing happened and how could she be so shameless.
"Katherine!" Perry roared, catching the attention of Katherine and made her shift her gaze towards him. "Who are you talking to?" Perry demanded as he staggered forward like a drunkard.
"Who I am talking to is none of your damn business, go back to whatever pit hole you came from ." Katherine rolled her eyes as she resumed her discussion with Shawn on the phone.
Perry's blood boiled in anger and he snatched the phone from her and glanced at the screen. The name Shawn pane was written boldly.
"Just like I thought, I knew it ." Perry sounded as he disconnected the call in anger.
"Give me back my phone!" Katherine demanded with her hand stretched forth.
"Not until we talk about what happened in the office earlier today!" Perry voiced out.
"There is nothing to talk about! Now if you would please give me back my phone I have some important things I am discussing." Katherine responded in a demanding tone.
"This is more important, Katherine!" Perry snapped, his voice reverberating throughout the once quiet balcony.
"Clearly you are drunk, I said there is nothing to talk about..give me back my phone already!" Katherine frowned and voiced in a demanding tone.
What were you doing with Shawn Pane in his office?! I saw everything so do not even try to deny it!" Perry questioned with his face bright red in anger.
"What I was doing with Shawn is none of your business. And since you said you saw everything, why are you still asking me?" Katherine retorted, glaring at Perry in disgust and disdain.
"Can you even hear yourself right now?You were cheating on me with that man in his office and you are acting like you did nothing wrong!" Perry voiced out with a slight look of disbelief.
This wasn't the type of response and attitude he expected from someone who was caught cheating.
"And what if I cheated on you with Shawn Pane, what are you going to do? Can you compete with a man like Shawn pane? Shawn is a son of a prestigious family and CEO of the company you work at, and After all you tricked me into marrying you." Katherine sneered.
"So, this is what it's about? Because he is rich and I am poor, you feel like you can cheat and pretend like nothing happened?!" Perry smiled in self pity.
Katherine didn't respond as she walked towards him and attempted to retrieve her phone.
"Next time, don't ever question my decision and actions. Know your place, Perry." Katherine warned as she collected her phone from Perry and walked away, leaving Perry stunned by her actions.
He gritted his teeth in pain and anger as he watched her leave like nothing happened. Perry then sat on the chair Katherine once sat and picked up the glass of beer she was drinking and took a sip. He fumed in anger but had no choice than to remain cool because there was nothing he could do and he had nothing against a man like Shawn pane.
