CHAPTER THREE
It was his wife, Katherine, and the man was the same man she introduced as her childhood friend, Shawn pane.
Perry stood there dazed by the scene he just witnessed, and he struggled to believe it was true. Perry had his gaze fixated on the duo who swiftly stood up and buttoned up their shirts with an apologetic look evident on their faces.
Perry was truly speechless. The mixed emotions he felt inside made him speechless as he gazed at Katherine who stood there with a shameful look.
She picked up her underwear and placed it in her purse before running past Perry who just stood there like a statue and dashing out of the office with her head buried down in shame.
With Katherine now out of the office, Perry shifted his gaze towards Shawn pane with his blood boiling in anger and his two fists clenched tightly.
"How dare you" Perry said angrily. He had suspected his wife was having an affair with Shawn pane last night but she made him look like a fool and lied to his face about it.
"Look man, I know what it seems like but it is not what you think" Shawn said apologetically trying to calm Perry down.
"It is not what I think? Not what I think?!" Perry finally voiced out in a menacing tone, causing shivers to run down Shawn's spine. Just by glancing at Ronan right now, it felt like he was looking at a monster who is here to take his life.
"I can explain..." Before Shawn Pane could finish his words, Perry's fist connected with his jaw and sent him flying backwards. Shawn's body crashed against the wall nearby and he fell down to the floor.
"Please dude, you don't have to do this, I can explain" Shawn Pane said looking scared of Perry beating to death as he watched Perry move closer to him for more attack.
Perry landed another punch straight to his face which made his nose and mouth bleed as he fell on his desk.
"Ugh!, You wanna kill me?, is that it?" Shawn pane said before he swiftly grabbed his cellphone from the desk and called the security department.
"Send security to my office right now!" Shawn pane was talking before Perry grabbed the phone from him and smashed it to the ground.
Perry was about to land another blow on Shawn before the securities came in and grabbed Perry by the arm.
"Throw this douche bag out of my company" Shawn orders the security guards."Let me go!" Perry struggles to release himself but to no avail.
Other co-workers who saw Perry being dragged by security started making jokes of him and throwing insults at Perry as they all stood there and laughed while he was being dragged out.
Perry struggled for several minutes before giving up. He exited the company's premises heartbroken and with tears in his eyes.
Helen, who had been watching the whole scene from the window, also had tears in her eyes as she watched her best friend surfer and there was absolutely nothing she could do..
Exiting the company, Perry headed to a bar nearby and walked towards the bartender. He sat on a long stool and ordered a bottle of Bourbon and a bottle of Scotch.
His drink was served and he wasted no time in guzzling them all, and within a few minutes he was done with the two bottles.
"Is that all you got?Come on, bring more bottles," Perry said to the waiter.
All Perry wanted right now was to drink and forget his sorrows. What he just witnessed was too much for him to handle, and just by thinking about it made him angrier.
Just because he was poor, his wife chose to cheat on him with a rich man. Perry thought as he ordered the strongest bottle of alcohol in the bar.
The bartender came with the bottles he requested for and Perry in no time took the bottles of alcohol and down it quickly.
"Slow down man" one of the customers who noticed him and other customers at the bar noticed and started looking at him disgustingly.
"I need more please" Perry said to the bartender as he drank the last gulp of his glass of bourbon.
The day was already getting dark and it was finally closing time in the office.Helen exited the company with a worrisome expression on her face.
"What could have been the problem for the boss to kick Perry out of the company like that, but I think I saw Perry's wife earlier today, what might have gone wrong" Helen was lost in thoughts as she got into her car heading to whatever location Perry might be.
"You better not do anything stupid Perry" Helen said to herself as she drove off.
Her mind has been troubled all day and she couldn't help but think about Perry's well being. She saw how hurt Perry was when he left the office and she hoped he hadn't done anything drastic out of anger.
On getting to the bar, she was hearing noise coming from the bar as she was approaching the bar door.
Entering the bar, Helen saw the bartender holding Perry's shirt who appeared to be drunk.
"Pay me up, or am calling the Cops on you, you moron!" The bartender voiced out in anger as he ruffled Perry's shirt.
"Hey, hey, calm down, What's going on here?" Helen approached them as she could see the bartender attempting to hit Perry's head with a glass of beer.
"And who the hell are you to miss?" The bartender glared at Helen who had just stopped her from breaking Perry's head.
"I-I'm his friend okay" Helen said as she introduced herself, shifting her gaze towards Perry who was drunk as hell and was barely awake.
"Well, you better tell your stupid friend of yours to pay the bill for the stuff he drank! He kept on ordering when he knew he had no money!, if not am calling the corps on him" The bartender responded, anger evident in his voice.
"Please forgive him. He is having a rough day. How much is the bill?" Helen inquired.
