### Chapter 13: Showdown – Todoroki vs Natsu, Part Two
The air in Building B grew even colder as the ice spread, covering the walls and floors like an unforgiving frost. Todoroki stood motionless in the center of the room, his breath steady, eyes narrowed, as he surveyed the battlefield he had crafted. Shoji, standing by the doorway, glanced at him, the tension in the room almost suffocating.
The distant rumble of footsteps from below echoed through the building. A crackling sound followed, as if something was tearing through the very fabric of the structure. Todoroki's eyes sharpened.
*Here he comes.*
With a deafening roar, the floor beneath them exploded. Chunks of ice and metal blasted upward, filling the air with debris as flames shot through the gaping hole. Natsu, his body engulfed in vibrant, fiery energy, rocketed into the room. The heat from his flames contrasted sharply against the biting cold, creating a chaotic swirl of steam in the air.
Natsu landed in the middle of the room with a thunderous crash, his feet slamming into the icy floor, melting the area beneath him into a pool of water. Flames danced around him, licking at the air, the sheer intensity of his power palpable. His eyes locked onto Todoroki with an almost feral grin.
"Let's get this started!" Natsu bellowed, his voice booming with excitement, flames crackling around his fists.
For a brief second, the room seemed frozen in time. Todoroki didn't flinch, his expression calm and calculated, but Shoji took a step back, his numerous limbs bracing for what was to come. The cold air clung to his skin, but even that felt distant against the sudden wave of heat crashing through the room.
Down below, Sero, who had barely managed to avoid the fiery blast that Natsu had unleashed to propel himself upward, stared wide-eyed at the hole in the ceiling, ice shards falling around him.
"Did he just... break through the whole building?!" Sero muttered in disbelief, wiping away the frost that had settled on his face. His heart pounded in his chest, half in fear, half in awe. "That guy... is insane." He glanced around the icy corridor, realizing that if he didn't move fast, he'd be left behind. Determined not to be outdone, Sero fired his tape, attaching it to one of the metal beams above. He propelled himself upward, using the support beams as a makeshift path to climb toward the fight above.
In the observation room, the students erupted in shock.
Kaminari's jaw dropped. "He just blasted through *everything*! How is that even possible?!"
Yaoyorozu's eyes widened in surprise as well, her hand moving to cover her mouth. "Such raw power... and he's not even holding back."
Kirishima leaned forward, gripping the edge of his seat. "That's Natsu for you! But Todoroki... there's no way he's gonna let this slide."
All Might, standing with arms crossed at the back of the room, watched intently, his usual smile replaced with a look of seriousness. His eyes flickered between the two combatants on the screen. *This could be more dangerous than we anticipated,* he thought. *Natsu's reckless, but his power... it's on a different level.*
Bakugo, sitting with arms folded, scowled at the screen. "Tch. They better not go easy on each other. I wanna see them fight for real."
Uraraka, her hands clasped together in worry, couldn't help but glance at the empty seat next to her. *Midoriya... you'd want to see this too. But I'm glad you're resting.*
Back in the room, the tension between Todoroki and Natsu was unbearable. The two stood on opposite sides of the room, fire and ice, perfectly balanced yet violently opposed. The air itself seemed to sizzle as heat clashed with cold.
Without warning, Natsu lunged forward, his fist blazing with flames. He swung with immense force, the fire trailing behind him like a comet. Todoroki barely had time to react, raising his hand to summon a wall of ice. The two forces collided with a deafening *crack*, sending shards of ice and sparks of fire scattering across the room.
"Finally! Some real action!" Natsu yelled, his grin widening as he pulled back for another strike, the heat around him intensifying.
Todoroki's eyes were calm, focused. With a swift motion, he spread his hand out, and another wall of ice shot up from the floor, separating him from Natsu. But Natsu's flames burned hotter, and with a single fiery punch, the ice shattered like glass.
Shoji, watching from the side, knew he had to move fast. "Todoroki, I'll handle Sero if he shows up. You focus on Natsu." His voice was steady, but his mind raced. Natsu's raw power was terrifying, but Todoroki's control over ice could still give them the advantage.
"Do what you need to," Todoroki replied, his voice as cold as the air around him. His eyes never left Natsu, who was already preparing his next fiery assault.
Outside the room, Sero shot through the corridors, his tape whizzing through the frozen air as he made his way toward the battlefield. The cold stung his skin, but he pushed through, determined to catch up.
"Okay, okay... I just have to get in there without being roasted alive." He muttered under his breath as he dodged a chunk of ice falling from the ceiling. "No pressure. Natsu, I'm not your enemy you know? Calm down bro..."
As he reached the hole that Natsu had blasted through, Sero paused, taking a deep breath before launching himself upward with his tape. He shot through the hole and swung himself onto the ledge, just in time to see Natsu and Todoroki locked in a furious battle of fire and ice.
Sero crashed through the ceiling, tape flying in all directions as he used his quirk to stabilize his descent. He landed next to Natsu, grinning. "You didn't think I'd leave you to fight alone, did you?"
Natsu smirked, not taking his eyes off Todoroki and Shoji. "Took you long enough, Sero."
Todoroki stood his ground, his right hand glowing with frost as he manipulated the ice around him, creating barriers, pillars, and walls to block Natsu's relentless attacks. But Natsu was wild, his movements erratic yet powerful, each punch and kick sending waves of fire that melted through Todoroki's defenses.
Sero, panting slightly from the effort of climbing, assessed the situation. *I'm not getting in the middle of that,* he thought, his eyes darting between the two combatants. *But I can help against Shoji. If we can take him down, that'll turn the tide.*
From the observation room, the students watched, captivated by the sheer intensity of the fight.
Kaminari leaned forward, his eyes wide. "This fight is literally on fire..."
All Might's voice, calm but grave, echoed through the room. "This fight isn't just about power alone. It's also about strategy. Todoroki is testing Natsu, seeing how far his flames can go. But Natsu... he's holding nothing back. This fight could tip either way."
As the flames and ice continued to clash in the room, it became clear that neither side was willing to back down. This battle, far from over, was only just beginning.
