Beth didn't want to pick up the phone. She wanted it to disappear so she didn't have to see or hear it anymore.
Beth bit her nails out of nervousness. The mere thought of the police coming inside her room and finding this phone scared her.
The phone was to remain off and be tossed somewhere long ago but after her uncle started to bring up Liam speaking about cameras being all over the city, Beth thought it was a better idea to keep it close.
"I should see,' Beth whispered as though someone else was around.
Unable to turn the phone off, Beth turned it on to see the messages being sent. It was a hefty bill to pay to get it unlocked and now, Beth started to question if she could trust that man to not out her in the future if anyone ended up going there.
