"Where is Veronica?" Liam asked Edna.
"Oh! Last I saw her, she was coming out of her room to go sit on the bench," Edna replied, tiptoeing to try looking outside at Veronica.
"Thank you. You can leave as soon as you're done. We might head out for dinner," said Liam.
Liam headed outside to the bench Veronica was spending a lot of time on these days. Seeing that she was enjoying the scenery behind their home, Liam thought of taking her on the vacation he mentioned before.
He didn't have good news about her phone. The location they believed they tracked it to would put Veronica in a bad mood.
Veronica was so engrossed in the view that she didn't notice Liam was standing to the right of her, watching her.
"Veronica," he called to get her attention.
"Oh, Liam! How long were you standing there for?" Veronica asked, starting to get up.
"I just came. The evening sky looks pretty," Liam noted as he walked to Veronica.
