Continuing where we left off we see Goku waking up only to realize it's not Goku but instead his other half Kakarot.

Kakarot wakes up looking around wondering where he is as strange memories keep appearing within his mind causing his head to start aching.

Kakarot: "Where am i? What's going on?"

He says aloud looking around. He can't seem to remember much but he keeps getting memories back slowly in brief flashes. The last thing he remembers is wanting to take down Buu and thats what he's going to do.

Despite not remembering much he still retained all his combat skills and his experience and with his muscle memory to help he's just as good as fighter as the original Goku is. He quickly senses for a powerfull energy nearby and senses a massive one in the distance deciding to rush in that direction he flies off.

Off in another location Gohan who had just finished being healed by Shin sensed his father and wondered what was going on. His ki felt different more violent and slightly evil.

Shin suggested they go to the supreme kai realm to go get the Z sword which could possibly be their only hope. However Gohan tells him to wait a bit first and that he wants to check up on his father as he feels smt is wrong. Shin quickly complies knowing there's no use arguing on this matter learning his lesson after almost dying to Goku and Vegeta.

Unlike in the original timeline in this timeline Gohan didn't sustain as many injuries and was even able to defeat dabura due to his slightly higher potential. In the original Gohan is stated to be weaker than when he fought against Cell. However here despite growing weaker over the years though not as much as in the original after his short period of training with Goten he recovered enough of his strength to be equal to his Cell saga self. After all Gohans potential is so immense that just training a little bit can insure that he doesn't decrease in strenth and maybe even increases in strength.

Gohan flies off into the distance to intercept his father with Shin following in the distance.

Meanwhile elsewhere the rest of the Z fighters also sense what's going on with most being on the lookout. Piccolo decides to interfere and also flies of in Kakarot's direction while Krillen and the rest stay behind.

Back to Kakarot.

After flying for a few minutes he senses 3 strong ki signatures approaching him from different directions. The Saiyan blood in craving a good fight. He decides to wait for them.

Gohan is the first to arive.

Gohan: "Hey dad what's going on smt feels off about you."

Shin sensing the danger decides to stay away by some distance to gauge the situation.

Piccolo arives not to long after and greetes gohan while staring at Kakarot a bad feeling in his heart.

Piccolo: "Goku what's gotten into you your ki it feels different than before. It feels more violent and sinister."

While all this was going on Kakarot stares at the 2. He noticed a 3rd one in the distance observing them but ignores it. The saiyan blood in his veins are calling for him to fight. In the end he settles his gaze on one of them before saying

Kakarot: "Goku who's that my names Kakarot a proud a saiyan warrior and i can assure you im not your father." Saying the last part while looking at Gohan.

With this it clicks in the heads of Gohan and Piccolo they're starting to understand what's going on and it's not good especially with the problem of buu right on the other side. This couldn't have happened at worse time than now. Knowing there's no way out the 2 look at each other and nod, getting into a fighting style ready to fight.

Kakarot looks at this both amused and excited and starts chuckling.

Kakarot: "that's more like it. Show me what you can do."

Getting into his own fighting style he quickly rushes at Piccolo with a fist ready only to be blocked by one of Piccolo's arms and to be countered by a kick aimed at his stomachache which he blockes by raising his knee. He raises his ki and blasts it outward pushing Piccolo back a bit and instantly raises his arms to block a a fist aimed at the side of his face by Gohan.

Piccolo quickly stabilizing himself stretches out his arms to grab Kakarot who flies higher and dodges it. Piccolo and gohan continue to bomabard Kakarot who keeps countering, blocking and evading each blow. Yet occasionally a blow would connect slowly injuring him.

He then decides to finally transform into SSJ. Looking at gohan he quickly rushes faster than Gohan can react and lands a powerfull blow to his gut. Gohan slowly descends due to the pain.

Piccolo seeing Kakarot transformed realizes he has to go all out and seeing Kakarot about to land another fatal blow on Gohan who is distracted he launches a barrage of ki blasts at him. Kakarot sensing the ki blasts gives up on Gohan for now and focuses on Piccolo blocking the ki blasts with his own causing a dust cloud to erupt. Taking advantage of the smoke he uses instant transmission to teleport behind Piccolo and delivering a powerfull kick to the face sending Piccolo's flying.

It's then that Gohan who finished recovering charges up into SSJ and rushes at Kakarot. And although Gohan is powerfull he cannot compare to a Goku who's trained in otherworld for 7 years. Kakarot quickly starts to overpower Gohan. Seeing there's no other way Gohan decides to go all out and transforms into a SSJ2 knowing he can't drag the fight out too much with someone like Majin Buu on the loose.

Gohan rushes in flying above Kakarot and launching him down into the ground.

Piccolo who just flew back starts to charge up his strongest attack a special beam cannon. Gohan seeing this decides to buy him some time and starts spamming ki blassts at the place where Kakarot crashed.

Kakarot decides to take it up a notch and transforms into a SSJ2 himself. The ki blasts hit him and the surrounding area causing another dust cloud to erupt. As the dust cloud clears they notice Kakarot standing there in SSJ2 unscathed by the ki blasts.

Gohan shouts :"dad come on stop this we don't need to fight, im your son. You gotta remember snap out of it this isn't you. We need to stop Babidi and Buu before they cause even more chaos."

Gohan desperately tries to tell his dad while also reminding him of the other threat their facing.

Kakarot looks at him with a emotionless look responding back :" How many times do i have to tell you im not your father. And as for buu I'll deal with him myself"

It's then that he gets a headache as large amounts of memories bombard his mind. However it feels different it feels more than just memories it feels like he's there like he's experiencing everything bjt he's not getting one set of memories but 3. It starts to overwhelm him all his memories from his childhood up to his fight with Piccolo jr. He quickly brushes it off desperately trying to deny it. He's Kakarot a proud saiyan warrior son of Bardock and gine not Goku.

He looks at the green figure that looks like the person who he fought in the last parts of his memories. He sees him charging the special beam canon and senses the immense energy from the attack knowing that if he took the blast head on he won't come out unscathed he quickly thinks of a way to escape all the whole clutching his head from the previous pain. Piccolo and Gohan seeing Kakarot's mental struggle realizes there might still be a chance to get Goku back realizing this is the perfect opportunity to attack Piccolo aims his 2 fingers at Kakarot and fires a powerful spiraling purple and orange beam.

Kakarot seeing the beam quickly approaching him not having any way to quickly escape decides to atleast move in a way in which it will svoid hitting any of his vital points. As the beam connects it pierces just below his right shoulder which quickly start bleeding. Kakarot enduring it charges up and momentarily uses kaioken on top of his ssj2 (he did smt similar when he was dead in the og)to quickly appear infront of Piccolo and deliver a powerful strike to his chest which pierces through the other side after which Piccolo crashes into the ground unable to battle any longer after being drained of most of his energy and sustaining such a powerful blow.

Gohan seeing this and not being able to react in time to stop it is devastated and quickly becomes enraged. He charges up even further even surpassing his teen self that fought cell. He quickly rushes at Kakarot launching a barrage of attacks at him. Kakarot who had cancelled the kaioken right after the attack had reverted to regular ssj2 and couldn't keep up. He endures blow after blow unable to defend himself while bleeding profusely through his thigh where he was shot before. Gohan once again shoots him down to the ground spamming multiple small ki blasts kicking up a dust cloud.

While Kakarot is laying down injured trying to get up Gohan gets into a stance.

He screams

KA-

ME-

HA-

ME-

Kakarot sensing his impending doom knows that there's nothing he can do to stop the attack that's being charged in his current state. He tries to think of multiple plans in his head all reaching the same conclusion which is Failure.

Gohan who started to calm down realizes what he's doing and looks at himself and his surrounding seeing his dad heavily injured and Piccolo still breaving and having regenerated the blow he had taken before but heavily drained.

He says to himself:"What am i doing dad isn't our enemy buu is i shouldn't be trying to kill him."

He looks at the ki blast he's charged and looks at it deeply before canceling it.

It's then that a large scream is heard and the the smoke disapears. Gohan senses a powerful ki more powerfull then he's ever sensed before the earth starts to shake all across the globe, the waters rippling and the clouds being pulled in the direction of the noise.

All the Z fighters even at the lookout sense this.

Krillen:"This ki is even stronger than buu" he says frightened while trembling.

Supreme kai who retreated even further behind was sweating profusely. He never expected the mortals on this planet to be so strong. They might even be able to defeat Buu without the help of the Z sword.

Back to the fight

Gohan being distracted not only by awakening from his anger but also by the scream couldn't react in time and realised too late as a powerfull stray ki blast hit his stomache from the disappearing smoke causing him to cough up blood and revealing a figure standing there with long golden hair and sparks of lightning surrounding him while he wore a serious face.

The figure was none other than Kakarot who used the opportunity given to him from Gohans distraction to quickly transform and launch a ki blast straight at Gohan.
