Chapter 4 - Reunion in otherworld

Kakarot who had just been escorted back to otherworld by fortune teller Baba seemed frustrated and irritated. He was angry at himself and the way he was behaving ever since his fight with Buu somewhere around the end he had been acting more sentimental and caring. He was a saiyan he was meant to cold and ruthless. He was supposed to kill without remorse. Saiyans aren't even supposed to care about there offsprings. So why! Why did he care about that worthless low class planet? Why did he care about that stupid city possibly being destroyed? Why did he care about that brat?

At that last thought he once again imagined his parents sending him of to Earth. He then remembers about Gohan and the memories he received of his time spent with him. While he was reminiscing he suddenly arrived infront of king Yemma.

King Yemma welcomes Goku on his return to otherworld, however he senses a change in Goku. Ruling the otherworld for so long and seeing souls pass one by one as he judged them, he had become quite perceptive at these thing. He simply brushes it off as a thought for later.

Kakarot looks at king Yemma recognizing him, suddenly a thought comes to mind and he enquires about the condition of several people including his son Gohan. King Yemma pulls out a stack of books filled with the nanes of everyone that has entered otherworld. Normally king Yemma wouldn't do smt like this especially with how busy he is right now with all the souls suddenly appearing after being killed by none other than Majin Buu.

King Yemma quickly finds the people Kakarot had asked for before saying how Gohan wasn't registered and that he must still be alive. He then says how the others he asked for were still there and hadn't been reincarnated yet. He mentions how they were currently in hell.

Kakarot hearing this excitedly asks if he could quickly go meet them, which is immediately denied by king Yemma. King Yemma states that eventhough he's done a lot of good deeds he can't bend the rules for him, he's simply done too much good in his life to go to hell. Kakarot cringes at the last part but once again tries to ask king Yemma. King Yemma again denies him saying that if he went to hell he would never be able to leave.

After hearing this Kakarot reluctantly let's go of the request and quickly leaves before saying a farewell.

Not to far from there we can see the workers in the otherwoeld working diligently, but one particularly younger worker can be seen messing around near the cleanser while listening to music on his headphones.

Back to Kakarot

Eventhough he can't meet the people he wanted to, he now knows that Gohan is still alive. Sometime during his fight with Buu he sensed Gohan's ki dissapear and thought that he might've died. After thinking for a bit he comes to the conclusion that Gohan might've gone with the supreme kai Shin.

He quickly puts 2 fingers to his forehead and tries sensing for Gohan's ki. After sensing for a while he finally finds it and immediately teleports there.

On the sacred world of the supreme kai.

Kakarot suddenly appeared out of thin air on the supreme kais planet.

Gohan who had been training with the Z sword stopped. He looks at his dad and happily calls out to him before he suddenly remembered that this wasn't his dad. He quickly gets on guard with serious face.

Kakarot looks at this unphased. The supreme kai and Kibito look at him and Kibito looks like he wants to say something but holds back. This Kakarot had proven to be far less merciful than Goku, and he was also far stronger than the 2 of them, they would much rather not get on his bad side. They quickly greet him and ask him about the reason for his sudden visit.

Kakarot looks at them simply saying that he wanted to see his son not giving any further explanation.

Gohan hearing this was ecstatic. He was right his dad really was returning to normal. He quickly asks him about the situation on Earth since he left, which Kakarot reluctantly answers before asking him about his training. From Kakarot's memories he seemed to remember that Gohan did not like fighting and preffered studying. This originally left him quite disappointed, his son with saiyan blood, born with so much potential didn't like fighting. Kakarot thought it was a waste and foolish, but now looking at his son training he regained some hope. Maybe just maybe he could use this opportunity to convince his son to become a fighter. He quickly tells Gohan he's proud to see him training to get stronger and encourages him to keep doing so.

Gohan merely scratches the back of his head in embarrassment while giving an awkward laugh, saying thanks.

Kakarot looks at the Z sword and as gohan if he could check it out. Gohan simply nods saying that it's heavy. Kakarot picks up the Z sword trying it out and adjusting to it's weight. He asks Gohan what's so special about it as from what he's seen there doesn't seem to be anything unique about it except it's weight.

Kibito quickly rushes to answer feeling insulted. He mentions how it's a legendary sword that's been on their planet fir generations and how no supreme kai has been able to pull it out to date. Kakarot in response proposes they put it to the test smirking evilly. He hands the sword to Gohan telling the supreme kai to create something to test it's strength.

The supreme not wanting to anger him quickly complies and creates a block of metal. Goku tells him to throw it a Gohan and tells Gohan to cut it with 1 slice. Shin does as he's told and hurls it at Gohan who perfectly slices it in half. Kakarot however doesn't seem impressed.

By this point even Shin has become curious in the Z sword and it's strenth. He quickly comes up with a idea and creates another block of metal telling Kakarot to catch and try it out again. He explains that this metal is the hardest element discovered in the known universe called katchintite. Kakarot examins it testing it's durability noting that it was hard.

He flings the large block of katchin at Gohan who prepars to slice it in half like he did with the previous block of metal, but this time something unbelievable happens, the Z sword snaps in half on impact. Shin and Kibito shout in terror and disbelief while Kakarot simply exclaims how throwing the block of katchintite at the Z sword was their idea and not his and further ridiculing the Z sword saying how he knew the sword wasnt that impressive.

Shin and Kibito remain there having a mental crisis saying how the legends foretold that whoever pulled the Z sword would hold the greatest power. They couldn't fathom that such a legendary swird had been so easily broken. They quickly started losing hope in defeating Buu.

Gohan tries to brighten up their mood saying that the swords weight atleast made him stronger. Shin desperately searching for a excuse quickly agrees claiming that he must've misinterpreted the legend.

Unbeknownst to everyone the Z sword lightly shines and the surrounding grass starts to blow a bit.

Shin and Kibito start to believe that perhaps the training with the Z sword might've made Gohan strong enough to defeat Majin Buu.

"No no no none of you are anywhere close to his level."

(Well that's it for this chapter hope you enjoy)
