As elder kai is dancing in joy of his freedom, Kakarot charges a small ki blast in his hand and fires it at the unsuspecting elder kai, who turns around just as it connects to his face, making him fall down and get injured.
Shin and Kibito rush to check on the elder kai and try to help him.
Elder kai suddenly wakes up and in anger shouts " STUPID BOZO! WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING , how dare you treat a venerable supreme kai like that with such disrespect!?"
The pair made up of Gohan and Kakarot look at the supreme kai and insult his strength.

The 2 look at him curiously in interest before questioning him about his fearsome ability.

Kakarot tries to think of smt to convince the elder, dying of curiosity to know what this ability was. He quickly thinks of a way to convince him. Seeing elder kai and his old visage, it reminded him of the memories of Roshi, he remembered one of Roshi's tendencies and figures out something that just might work.

Elder kai insulted rushes at him at unimaginable speeds questioning him about how could there possibly be anyone else besides him who could gave such a ability.
Elder kai looks at Gohan telling him to come closer. " hey you're the one that pulled the sword out the stone right? Go stand over there" he says pointing to the side.

I thought for sure the one who would pull that sword and release me, would've been like myself, one of the supreme kai, but no to my astonishment it was but a measly earthling." he says while looking at Shin in complete disapointment.
Shin hearing this can do nothing but look down in shame apologizing. Elder kai looks at Kakarot in shock, just now noticing the miraculous situation he was in before saying " Incredible, i never thought i would ever see such a anomaly. You seem to have more than one pool of your potential, it's almost as if there are 2 people sharing one body. It seens as if the 2 separate pools of potential are slowly merging into one! If that's the case then your potential may rise to unimaginable hights, most likely surpassing even your son's potential. "
Kakarot and the others process the new information, however Kakarot doesn't seem convinced, how could merging his 2 potentials posibly increase as much as the elder said it would. He knew very well how high his sons potential was, it was on a whole different league compared to his own. Even if his potential doubled he wouldn't be able to match his son in raw potential. He quickly makes his doubts known.
The elder shouts back " you fool!! Do you not understand what merging means?! Merging and adding up are completely different, merging would result in your 2 pools of potential not only adding up but multiplying!"
Kakarot and the rest look at the elder in surprise , they'd never expected such a thing.
Elder kai continues " Just from your potential merging you'll notice a qualtive leap in your strength and growth. This isn't even taking into consideration what would happen if you actually unlocked it afterwards. I take back what i said before about your son, i believe it's you who would become the strongest. I estimate it would take atleast a week to a month for your potential to fully merge. Unless of course you had some trigger to speed up the process, like a life threatening situation or a sudden burst of emotion. I myself can help speed up the process a bit. "
Kakarot looks at elder kai excitedly asking if he could really do it. The elder tells him that it's a simple job that can be done in an instant unlike unlocking potential which would take time. The elder raises both his hands at Kakarot and yells. Kakarot doesn't feel anything and everyone looks at the elder in disbelief. Suddenly Kakarot falls on his knees as once again a large stream of memories fills his mind. Whatever the elder did, it seemed to have triggered his memories. This time he saw himself and others he knew fighting Buu, but he looked different from what he remembered. He saw different forms of Buu but suddenly one memory peaks his interests. He sees a purple cat and himself fighting against it. The purple cat seems powerful, it's then he hears the name of this being. Be suddenly blurts out the name Beerus. "
Elder kai jumps back in fear asking him where he heard that name. Kakarot who finished asimulating most of the memories , staod up and said he didn't know and that it simply popped up in his mind as some sort of memory of the future or something.
Elder kai warns him to stay away from Beerus and how Beerus is someone on a completely different level that shouldn't be messed with. Shin looks like be wants to say something but still feeling shame from before and hearing the elders serious tone filled with fear he decided to keep quiet for now.
After that Elder kai walks to Gohan and tells him to stand still and starts to strangely dance around him in a circle.
Gohan akwardly stands there completely straight with his hands at his sides as the elder makes strange noises while dancing. The others simply watch the comical scene, bewildered.
Gohan tries to question him but elder kai tells him to shut up, telling him that this is a important ceremony. Gohan couldn't believe it as it was too strange. Goku asks the elder about how long it would take. The elder replies " 6 hours for this part, then I'll take another 21 for the power up.
Kakarot asks Shin and Kibito if they could bring him some food, which they quickly agree not knowing what to do during the ritual, they felt as if the ritual was something important and they shouldn't look away, Kakarot asking for food gave them the perfect excuse.
As the 3 decided to eat, elsewhere in the otherworld chaos was about to ve unleashed.
