"Vice Admiral, it's not good! Master Finn has caused trouble!" a Marine soldier burst in urgently.
Garp, who had been enjoying drinks and conversation with King Cobra, felt a sinking feeling in his stomach upon hearing the soldier's report. Finn's unpredictable nature often led to unexpected consequences.
"What happened?" Garp asked, his brow furrowing.
"Vice Admiral, Master Finn has disabled Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea!" the soldier explained, panting.
"What!? The Seven Warlords of the Sea?!" Garp was taken aback.
He couldn't believe his ears. How powerful was his eldest grandson if he could defeat someone as formidable as Crocodile?
"Yes," the soldier continued. "Crocodile's face is a mess! It's almost unrecognizable."
Garp's mouth twitched. Couldn't Finn be a bit more restrained? The Seven Warlords of the Sea were recognized by the Marine, and their role was to keep the New World pirates in check. Finn's actions could have severe repercussions.
Bogart, who was nearby, wiped his brow in relief. This young master Finn was indeed extraordinary, even taking on the Shichibukai. And to actually defeat one of them was impressive!
"Where is he now?" Garp demanded.
"Master Finn has taken Crocodile to the warship, intending to imprison him in Impel Down," the soldier reported.
"What?!"
Garp's anger flared. "This is madness!"
He was aware that Crocodile had recently joined the Seven Warlords of the Sea and was allied with the Marines. To beat him up and then send him to Impel Down would undoubtedly upset the balance.
Cobra, on the other hand, was overjoyed. He had long suspected that Crocodile was behind the prolonged drought in Alabasta, but lacked evidence. Finn's actions had brought justice, and Cobra was thrilled.
"Vice Admiral, your grandson is truly a savior to the people of Alabasta!" Cobra said excitedly, grabbing Garp's arm. "He's exposed Crocodile for his crimes, and the drought will end soon. Our people owe him so much!"
Garp was taken aback. "What's going on?"
"Vice Admiral, the drought has devastated countless lives in Alabasta. We suspected Crocodile was behind it, but without evidence, we couldn't act. Master Finn's intervention has revealed the truth and will bring relief to our people."
Cobra continued passionately, "Without Finn's action, who knows how long the drought would have lasted or how much suffering it would have caused? He has done an immeasurable amount of good!"
Garp was initially confused, not realizing that Finn's actions had such a significant impact. He was relieved he hadn't reacted impulsively.
"Indeed," Bogart added, "although Master Finn's methods can be unconventional, he has consistently done good. He saved many villagers in Cocosia Village and now millions in Alabasta."
Garp chuckled, finally understanding. "You're right. I didn't expect this outcome. I brought him out of Windmill Village because of his sense of justice. He's truly a future pillar of the Marine!"
With a grin, Garp declared, "Let's head to the warship! I want to praise my grandson! And when I return to Naval Headquarters, I'll tell Sengoku about this. Finn deserves recognition and a promotion!"
Garp's mood lifted as he thought about his grandson's achievements. "Oh, I really have a good eye for talent!"
The room fell silent, everyone stunned by Garp's sudden change in attitude.
Just moments ago, Garp had been ready to reprimand Finn, but now he was singing his praises.
It seemed that Finn's actions had nearly cost him dearly, but they had ultimately turned the situation around.
