Chapter 41 - How About We Get Her To Be My Secretary?

Phone Bug...

Finn was familiar with this kind of tech. But, Hacker Phone Bug? Smart Brain Phone Bug? What were these?

Curious, Finn asked, "System, what exactly are the Hacker Phone Bug and the Smart Brain Phone Bug?"

The system responded immediately:

Hacker Phone Bug: The host can use it to target and hack a specific phone bug, allowing for eavesdropping on all conversations. It can even forcibly interrupt calls.

"Whoa! Eavesdropping? That's pretty useful," Finn thought, silently impressed.

Then he asked, "What about the Smart Brain Phone Bug?"

The system provided another explanation:

Smart Brain Phone Bug:Automatically detects all phone bugs within a certain range and saves call recordings, which can be reviewed anytime.Allows editing of phone bugs within its signal range—functions include preventing incoming calls, transferring calls to the Smart Phone Bug, extracting call history, and simulating any voice from the call logs. Can establish a connection with any video phone bug in the signal area and forcibly activate its video function.

Holy— Finn was stunned. "Compared to this, the Hacker Phone Bug is just garbage!"

(Hacker Phone Bug: You just called me amazing, and now I'm trash? You scumbag!)

There was no doubt—he needed the Smart Brain Phone Bug!

"This secretary is pretty impressive," Tashigi commented, watching Kalifa at work.

"Right? What do you think if I made her my secretary?" Finn grinned.

Kalifa's current status as an agent only made this idea more appealing. As a CP9 agent, Kalifa's greatest strength was her unwavering obedience to orders—no questions asked.

If Finn could get the Smart Brain Phone Bug, he could mimic CP9's orders and make Kalifa follow them without hesitation.

Tashigi raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Master, someone as competent as her? Mr. Iceburg won't easily give her up."

Finn blinked. "Maybe, but let me ask you this—if he did agree, what would you think?"

"Well..." Tashigi thought for a moment, then nodded. "If Mr. Iceburg is willing to part with her, it would be great to have her as your secretary, Master."

Unlike Nami or Robin, who wouldn't see the need for a secretary, Tashigi understood the value. Having worked as Smoker's assistant, she knew how exhausting organizing files and sorting information could be. Without someone skilled to manage these tasks, things would get missed, causing major headaches down the road.

"Alright, I'll see what Mr. Iceburg says. If he agrees, great. If not, I'll just pull some strings~" Finn said, pleased that Tashigi was on board with the idea.

Kalifa exited after finishing her report to Iceburg. Iceburg turned back to Finn and Tashigi with a polite smile.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," he said.

"No problem," Finn replied with a grin. He glanced at Tashigi and said, "Why don't you wait outside for a bit? I'll have a private chat with Mr. Iceburg."

Thinking Finn wanted to discuss the secretary matter, Tashigi smiled, clenched her fists in encouragement, and left the room.

Once she was gone, Finn took a step forward, leaning casually on Iceburg's desk. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Monkey D. Finn. What I'm about to tell you will shock you—it might even scare you. But I need your word that no matter how frightened you get, you'll hear me out."

Iceburg frowned slightly. He was a cultured man, and Finn's rough attitude was clearly not to his taste. Still, out of respect for Finn's lineage, he kept his composure. "Master Finn, rest assured. I've been in charge of Water Seven for years. I've seen quite a bit. Go ahead."

"Good," Finn nodded, his tone calm. "Your junior brother, Fram, isn't dead."

The atmosphere shifted instantly. Although Iceburg remained outwardly composed, a flicker of shock passed through his eyes.

"Master Finn, if you're trying to joke, I must say it's in poor taste. My junior brother opposed the World Government and paid the price. His death is old news," Iceburg replied.

Finn didn't argue, merely smiling as he delivered the next blow. "Franky is Fram."

Iceburg's face stiffened.

The first statement could be dismissed as a test, but the second hit close to home. How could anyone connect Franky with Fram? They were nothing alike, yet Finn spoke with a certainty that rattled Iceburg.

Still, Iceburg forced himself to laugh. "Master Finn, if Marine intelligence has found something, you're welcome to arrest Franky. He's a known troublemaker here, and frankly, I've been wanting to see him gone for a while."

Finn remained silent, a smile still playing on his lips as he dropped the final bombshell.

"You entrusted Franky with the blueprints of the 'Pluton' warship."

Iceburg's expression changed completely.

This was no longer a game.

The blueprints for "Pluton" were a deeply guarded secret, something his master had entrusted to him. He had passed them on to Franky in secret, and no one should have known about it.

If Finn knew even this, then Franky...

Panic seized Iceburg, and he shot up from his chair, glaring at Finn. "What did you do to Franky!?"
