As long as anybody can remember. Zora was always a powerful fire mage. He was supposed to be named the Talon but insisted that he was not adequate in matters to do with leadership. Thus the role was passed down to the runners up, the current fire Talon. His records showed a man in his early thirties and born as an orphan. With such scarce information on his background, nothing made him suspicious to a third party. He was a very prominent and high ranking military official. Every secret on the nature of the workings of the military was well known to him. His position allowed him to meet with various rulers and share meals with them. As for the current war, he was present in all the high level meetings and was part of the decision making process. From the beginning, every decision that was made in secret high level meetings was all for naught. That is why it seemed that the enemy was always two steps ahead of us.In his spare time, Zora was always reading. His thirst for knowledge was well known. He read about magic, politics, economy and everything else he could get his hands on. Thanks to this habit, he was now a very smart and knowledgeable individual. His mana aptitude test measured him at 5:3:2, a very basic ratio but with a species like a dragon with mindboggling level of strength, this ratio was not to be trusted as a measure of strength. He had maintained his low profile acting as a human for 500 years. This in itself is a testament to show the level of intellect and planning that was associated with him. The only reason that his plans to act as a saboteur were destroyed is because I was here at the right time and place. "Zo-Zora was a dragon all along? How did you know? I have been with him for several decades and I did not even know that." The Fire Talon asked. "I have the ability to see the maximum mana reserves. Zora's mana reserves were over ninety times that of yours. I did not know he was a dragon I only guessed that he was not human." I answered. Even after I used all my strength it was useless.[Incorrect. You did not use all your strength. Your physical form can only allow 20% of your strength to be harnessed]

If you leave right now in the morning, by noon you should be there." The Fire Talon said. "I will leave immediately. Kindly assemble the most elite squad you can gather. The battle has changed it is quality over quantity. Soon we may need to counter attack." I said. The fire Talon nodded and I went back to my tent. I gathered my items and left for the Wind Talon's army .I was alone in the carriage. On the way, I wondered if in the worst case scenario where I am forced to fight any of the dragons if I could win.

After a lot of back and forth with my 'Companion' I was able to understand the gist of body transformation. I tried it out and my body turned to a white mist. Simultaneously, the surrounding weapons on the carriages did the same. The two clouds of white mist combined and formed a new stronger adult body. Wow my muscles look ridiculously big. It seems that for the adult body to be formed, it needed other materials to supplement it. Oh what the hell! I don't have any clothes that can fit me. I called out to the driver and explained my situation. He was a bit shaken but after I confirmed my identity to him by answering a few questions, he resigned himself from the situation. We went ahead and bought some clothes for me to wear. It was possible to make the clothes but after using the body transformation skill, my mana was depleted. The journey went on unimpeded without significant developments along the way.It was now five hours later after I got a change of clothes. From the horizon, I could see some three hills that looked out of place. The vegetation on them was a deep green forest while that of surrounding area was bushes and grasslands. What is going on I wonder? What is up with those bright flashes of light? The answer soon became evident as I moved near the site. There was three large tortoises that looked like miniature hills that were covered with trees. They were so large that they could be seen over the wall. The different mages were throwing all kinds of attack spells on the beast with no effect to be seen. "Hey! Do you know where the wind Talon is?" I asked a nearby soldier on my window. "On the frontlines. Probably attacking one of this godforsaken bastards." The soldier said pointing at the tortoises. I got out of the carriages and began walking towards the wall. "No civilians around beyond this point." One of the soldiers shouted at me. "I am a soldier from the fire Talon's army. I am here to help." I said pointing at the Talon's Carriage that he had lent me to ensure that I do not encounter significant problems. "Okay, pass through. You will need to get armor and weapons from the store over there." The soldier said while pointing a particular tent. I did as asked and wore some combat clothing. It was a chainmail and some leather armor. I took a spear and went to join the war effort. "Kindly, everybody stand back. I am going to release a powerful spell." I said while I stood on the wall. "Soldier. Quit playing around, the next time you open your mouth and I see that you are not attacking, I will have to beat you myself." A commander said. I took a spear and held it in a throwing position. A yellow flame formed at the tip, I then concentrated on adding more wind at the tip resulting in a blue flame. I continued adding pouring more and more magic onto the spear. It was getting hot so I put up a rock membrane for my body. The tortoise was around fifty meters away from the wall. "If you do not want to get hurt step aside." I declared. The air around me was vibrating heavily and a violent storm formed at the tip of my spear. My colleagues understood that the level of power here was not to be trifled with and backed away. After I was content that the level of magic was enough, I finally threw the spear at the tortoises at full strength. BOOOOM. A sonic boom was heard. Soldiers and everything 10 meters around me was thrown up in the air. Almost instantaneously, an explosion was observed and a few seconds later a violent shockwave was felt. Suddenly I was lifted up in the air and some pieces of rocks flew past me at very high speeds. The shockwave destroyed the same wall that I was standing on and was trying to defend. Screams were heard throughout this period. After a short period of time, the dust settled and the target was observed. The shell had a small crack on its side. That was the extent of the damage that I had caused. The trees on the back were all gone and only the shell remained with a single small crack. "Are you kidding me? It's not dead?" I shouted angrily. All eyes were now on me. Suddenly the tortoise began screeching loudly. Is it angry? Is it in pain? Blood then started pouring out of the small crack in large volumes. The tortoise stopped moving and tried to retreat to its shell but that seemed to be causing a strain for the wound.The soldiers did not miss this chance and went on full attack mode on the creature. "Hey, how did you do that?" I heard a familiar voice. "Nathan. What happened to your arm? Let me fix it for you." I said. The arm had a deep cart most likely as a result of the shrapnel from the shockwave. I immediately began to repair and close the wound. "Have we met before?" Nathan asked. I had forgotten that my appearance had drastically changed. "It's me Chrono. Dark magic has allowed me to transform into an adult. I can't explain right now. We have 2 more to deal with." I said pointing at the tortoises. I said. "Could you help me get the soldiers to evacuate before I throw my next attack?" I asked. "Young master? The eyes and mannerism do match. This is very weird you are even taller than me." Nathan said. "Soldier I congratulate you for taking care of that monstrosity. Still why did you wait till now to unleash the attack?" The commander sked. I was now getting pissed off and contemplating walking off. Just when I was contemplating on what to do, a voice was heard. "Are you the one who is responsible for this?" The Wind Talon asked. Everybody present bowed except me. I was getting some mean looks especially from the commander. I stared back at the Wind Talon while nodding. "White Eagle. It is an honor to have you here. I got a report through our crows on what happened today on the Fire Talon's side." The Wind Talon said while bowing her head. Wow impressive, she recognized me while I was in a different form. "I appreciate your welcome. My previous body limited the amount of strength I could draw. I have now assumed this form to counter that challenge." I said. Everybody around was shocked to be in the presence of the White Eagle. I heard a commander begging for my forgiveness but I did not consider that to be important. "The other tortoises are moving towards this direction. It seems that they were attracted to the explosion." A soldier reported after taking a knee. "What would you have us do?" The wind Talon asked. "Help in finishing the injured one and leave this two to me." I said. How strong are this things anyway? The soldiers are still struggling to finish the injured one off. I used my phoenix eye to observe its features. The injured tortoise had a mana reserve of 70, 000. Why is it not using any magic I wonder? "Everybody step back, the shell is glowing faintly." A soldier was heard. Everyone moved away from the injured tortoise and assumed a defensive position. "The wound. It is healing itself." Another soldier shouted. The tortoise opened its mouth and a black mass of energy started to form on its mouth. "Everybody evade that attack, move towards its sides." I shouted. Suddenly a linear concentrated mass of energy targeted our direction. This was definitely the strongest attack ever witnessed in resent time. This made my spear throws look like child's play. The attack targeted a short distance away from me. The soldiers stationed there were all pulverized. The ground had melted and a tunnel several meters wide and deep was formed. "In my entire existence of ten millennia, this is the first time I have been injured by humans. I will no longer hold anything back. I now consider you worthy opponents." A loud voice thundered across the battlefield. "It can talk?" Nathan shouted exasperated. The other tortoise had joined up together. This is some next level stuff. The defense and the offense of this creatures is incredible. I used the phoenix eye and determined that the others mana reserve were 100, 000 and 97,000. This is a very terrible situation to be paced in.
