This was the name I decided to give my new weapon. Forged by putting in effort brick by brick and the fact that it could change forms to match my whims. This was reminiscent to the blocks used in Jenga. The glowing and constant shifting continued for a while. [Permission to place part of my being into that.]
I would much rather that it is someone I know that rises from that weapon. The process continued for a few more minutes after our exchange with my companion. I did not know it at the time but from then on I would also refer to it as Jenga. After a few minutes, a large sheet of red metal was formed. What am I supposed to do now?
[What weapon would you like?]
A large sword at my size, 194 centimeters was formed . I used my phoenix eye to determine its mana capacity. The mana reserve capacity was rated at 60 million. That was more than twice the amount I had. In a long drawn fight, I was sure to be at an advantage. This was because it also acted as a battery where I could draw mana if I ran low. I left the city gates immediately to test out the weapon. I swung it around and was really impressed with it. It cut down rocks and trees as if they posed no resistance.
The weapon changed shape into a large shield that covered my whole body. I asked it to hover above the ground. I threw various attacks on it in both human and dragon form. Not a single scratch was observed. This was likely the sturdiest substance known to man.
[Every magic that you can do, I can do as well.]
That is greatly convenient. This was probably why I needed to pour my blood on it.
The weapon changed once more. I took the bow and drew it. I did not have arrows, I was going to shoot lightning bolts imbued with wind and fire magic at the sky. As soon as I let go, a large explosion was felt and observed. I had flown a few kilometers away from the nation of Katarak for privacy which is why I was startled when I heard a voice. "That weapon is amazing." Zora shouted. "How long have you been here?" I asked. "I saw you leave and I thought you wanted to spar with me so I followed you." Zora answered. What? He was here from the beginning. I need to be keener on my surroundings. "I was testing my new weapon Jenga. But since you are here, want to help me." I answered with a grin. I had just asked for a full on sparring session. "Of course. I am excited as well." Zora answered. My spear and sword skills were terrible. My archery was only good at long ranges. What should I use? Ooh.
The weapon reduced its size and formed around both my arms. It seems good old boxing is what I was going to use. The match started immediately. My power and speed had increased significantly. If I missed Zora, the landscape behind him would be obliterated. I could clap my hands and a violent wave would form deep valleys on the ground. It was unsustainable for Zora to remain in human form hence he changed to a majestic black dragon. I could easily punch the attacks he threw head on and disintegrate them. The match leaned more and more towards my favor until Zora did something. So this was it. I recalled Zari telling me that Zora had a secret technique that he used when sparring with his brother. Zora had turned his physical composition to that of a flame. He was now in essence a flame dragon. I did not think that it was even possible to do that. Physical attacks were useless against him but his could reach and harm me. Neither the clap nor hitting him did anything. Suddenly, he vanished before my eyes and then felt a sharp pain behind me. Aargh. He had used his dragon claws to target my back. The steel membrane that I had on me was the only reason I was still on this fight. I healed my body and began thinking of countermeasures.
It was completed in an instant. I was well protected now. I tried to use water magic on Zora but he simply vanished from one place to another. His attacks did not even move me an inch while I was up in the air. He tried everything from physical to spell attacks. They did not work on me. I was now deeply thinking of how to attack him then an idea came to mind.
A flame chain was formed. Fighting fire with fire was going to be my philosophy. "Interesting. Very interesting." Zora roared. I dashed forward without hesitation because my defense was always assured. I swung the chain with all my might at one of his limbs. "Argh." The flame dragon whined. I had deeply cut one off his front limbs. The match was now over. I had worn. Zora reverted into human form and I could see that his left hand was bleeding and almost falling off. I quickly went over there and healed it. "That is definitely the strongest weapon ever created." Zora said. I was sure that the only reason I won was because I had Jenga with me. I did not feel like gloating. "Yes. It is very powerful." I answered.
In an instant, it wrapped itself around my arm as a simple bracelet. "You are only one of three people to beat me. Congratulations." Zora said as he stood up. "My techniques are far from perfect. I need to master various weapon techniques before I can feel proud of myself." I answered. "Well since you are through with everything here, why don't you head to the fae domain. They are very skilled in using bows and spears. They could teach it to you." Zora said. Yes that is a brilliant idea. The vampires will invade in the next five months. I should spend this time learning various techniques. "That is a wonderful idea. If I hone my skills I will be unstoppable." I said. We flew back to the gate and entered Katarak. That night, I informed the council of my departure to the fey kingdom. They thanked me profusely and I left two days later. I chose to travel to the settlement that Zari was stationed. I was accompanied by some guides as we travelled by carriage. The fey domain was covered by a very large and dense forest. Flying there for the first time was always a guarantee that you will be lost. Endless green trees around you without a single landmark but the sun to determine direction was also not convenient. The journey took five days before I arrived at the fae capital. The fae were large in stature at almost 8 feet tall but this was perhaps the only time I felt small in a long time. These people were practically giants. I was met by the elder of the village at the entrance of the kingdom. "Welcome to our domain sir White Eagle. It is always a pleasure to work with the Silva family. I am Mudan, the elder of this village." He said. "I thank you for the warm welcome. My name is Chrono Silva also known as the White Eagle. My father speaks highly of you." I answered. I was then introduced to the other elders who thanked me for my help for the magical weapons. I was led inside the city and was really impressed. The buildings were designed to coexist with nature. They made homes on large trees and then built bridges to connect with them. Each tree had a house at different directions and height that were connected to others in different trees. The layout was very confusing. This is not to say that the arrangement was ugly, no, it was a paradise. The stream running next to the village with clear water made this area the most beautiful settlement I had ever seen in my opinion. It was almost noon at this time. I was led to a room to rest for tonight's banquet. A fresh change of clothing was offered to me. The five days journey was only pleasant because I shared my suspension and bearing knowledge with the gnomes. They were very pleased. Otherwise my body would be hurting all over. I freshened myself and took a short nap. I woke up myself and started wandering around the village. I got stares because I was a human wearing fae clothing but I did not let that bother me. It was evening at this point and I saw the colorful lights shining all throughout the village. A messenger met me and delivered some news that I was needed at the elder's home. She led the way and soon we were at the highest house on all the trees. "Sir Chrono welcome take a seat. I can see you have recovered." Mudan the village elder said. "Yes. I am feeling less tired now." I answered. We then began discussing various topics from the war with Dragons to the current position. I then explained to him that I came here to train on archery and spear techniques because close combat was not my strong suit. He promised to find the best teachers for me which I was grateful for. It was soon nightfall and we climbed back to the ground where the banquet was to be held. I was introduced publicly for the first time as the White Eagle. The banquet lasted deep into the night where we all retired to bed. The next morning a messenger asked me to appear before the elder. I had not yet mastered the various routes and asked the messenger to lead me. "Sir Chrono. Let me introduce you to my children. These are the people who are going to teach you archery and spear techniques." Mudan said. His own children? "It is an honor to meet you." They said. However I felt a certain hostility from them. Did they not want to do it? It is not a big problem I could find other people. "I appreciate your kindness having your own children train me." I answered. It is likely that the elder wants to gauge my strength. After a few minutes, the three of us left the settlement and went to an open inhabited area. "I do not understand why we have to teach a glorified blacksmith our secret fae techniques. Worst of all a human." The son said to my face. They had not introduced themselves because they did not consider me worthy. "I agree with you. What is father even thinking." The daughter answered. I chuckled a bit. "Glorified blacksmith you say?" I asked. "A human weakling like you should be torn from limb to limb." The son answered. "Why don't you try it?" I asked with a smug look on my face. The siblings were at 41,000 for the daughter and 39,000 for the son mana reserves. Weaklings was all I could see. The son used a spear while the daughter used a bow. "You are our father's guest we cannot do you any harm." The daughter said. I responded by throwing a wind attack at them which they casually dodged. "Come on. If you have the guts to call me a weakling to my face the least you could do is fight me." I egged them on. "You asked for this you stupid human." The son shouted. He expertly used the earth magic fused in the spear with his own innate wind magic. But it was simply too weak. I only used a simple barrier without a membrane to block his attacks. I did not dodge them but stood still. "Is that all you can do strong one?" I mocked him. The sister seeing this began shooting fire and light arrows at me but it was useless. "Are you people even trying?" I asked while yawning. They began to get frustrated and attacked me desperately with all they had until they were too tired to move. "Let me show you the epitome of strength that you can only dream of reaching". I declared. I raised my hand and pointed at a nearby group of giant rocks. I flicked my finger and the giant rocks were sliced into two. I then looked back at siblings as their faces displayed immense horror. It was probably the first time that they had witnessed true strength. They immediately started running back to the settlement while screaming. It was a very bizarre occurrence in my opinion. I slowly followed them back to the village. I did not want them to think that I was chasing them. At the gate to the settlement I was met with a large crowd. What the hell did those brats say about me? Mudan met me as I was walking towards their settlement. "If you do not mind Sir Chrono. Would you spar with me?" Mudan said. I was not expecting this reaction as was confused for a moment before agreeing to his request. We walked in a different direction to an expansive field with no vegetation. A substantial crowd followed behind us. The elder was silent and contemplating throughout the journey. We reached the location and we both took our fighting stance. I used the phoenix eye and saw that the elder had mana reserves of 120,000. Impressive for his species but not enough for me to consider him a threat. After all, mine was at 25 million. He was kind and courteous towards me so I was not planning on embarrassing him. I took out my spear from the bracelet and pointed it towards him. The fight began as soon as he lounged towards me. His techniques were beautiful. I did not use any barrier or membrane out of respect for him. I did not land a single hit on him. 90% of his attacks landed on me and I quickly healed my wounds. "Why do you limit your strength? Am I that weak?" he asked. What should I do? If I use all my strength this will not be a fight. "There is an audience here. I could not find it in myself to embarrass you." I murmured close to his ear. "Do not worry about that and fight me with all your strength." Mudan shouted. We both took our battle positions once more. Once again he lunged at me but something was different. He was not holding his sword. I had moved at top speed and stolen his sword from him and was now holding it with my left hand. The battle was over before it had begun. Understanding this, Mudan declared me the winner.
