As the gates of the arena opened Corvis looked into the arena and he saw a black undead that made his way to the center of the arena he began to speak to all of us who were watching him from above.
"Welcome to the event that you have all been waiting for members of the dark world!"
The crowd that was around Carvis all began to cheer and shout as soon as he began to speak as if they were mesmerized by his words.
"Now introducing the challenged party!" he exclaimed. "She has nothing but mystery surrounding her. It is rumored that she is not even originally a part of the dark region, but somehow, despite that, she has been chosen by Carvis, the demon of the dark arts, to be his wife.
Do you believe that she will be able to defeat all of the women who are here on this day to challenge her for the right to marry Dark Lord Carvis?" he asked as she walked out of the area that was reserved for the fighters to prepare for the fights that were to came.
The challenger stepped out into the arena and Carvis saw a massive creature that had four arms. She had two longswords one in each of her top hands, and in her bottom hands, she had battle axes.
"Let the set of battles that will determine who will become the wife of Lord Carvis begin!" the announcer yelled as he started to make his way to the very edge of the arena so that he could stay out of the battle.
Carvis looked in amazement as he stared at Syndrell in the magical robes that he had ordered for her to use in this event. The clothes seemed to fit her quite nicely and it made it very difficult for me to focus on anything else. He felt a rush of satisfaction as she started to chant magical words.
The area of the stands where Carvis was sitting was reserved for all of the other high-ranking dark creatures. They ranged from a vampire lord who wore white cloth and boots to a female dark fairy who wore only a one-piece dark green dress.
"Well, it seems to be that this massive dark creature wants a piece of you". The vampire said to Carvis as a pair of his many vampire wives were licking the sides of his face. "I mean I honestly do not know why you just don't make them all your wives like I did with the women that wanted me."
"Unlike you, I cannot handle showing more than one woman my love at a time. I always have valued quality over quantity" Carvis said as he ate some of the dark grapes that were in a bowl to his left.
Carvis then ignored what the other elite dark creatures were doing to focus his attention on the fight that was about to unfold beneath him.
"I vow that I will win this contest and claim him as mine so that I can have a very powerful offspring." The four-armed lady said as she started to swing her weapons at Syndrell.
"Truthfully, I do not believe that you would be able to fit into the fine outfits that he has in stock."
The four-armed creature instantly swung her weapons in a blind rage in response to what Syndrell said.
It looked as if there was nothing for Carvis to worry about because as soon as the enemy came close to Syndrell her pet dragon got off of her shoulder and attacked the opponent with its long claws.
Everyone in the crowd started to gasp as the dragon attacked the opponent that was attacking its master.
"Oh, come on!!! I was betting quite heavily on that fighter." The vampire exclaimed in anger as he threw a steak at Carvis.
Carvis got up and got in the vampire's face. "Sir you need to calm down. I am sorry that you lost your bet, but that does not give you the right to throw a very high price of meat like a child's toy."
As Carvis spoke the vampire became even more pale than usual as if he was suddenly filled with dread at what he had done to one of the more powerful demons of the dark region.
After that Carvis sat back down and he noticed that Syndrell had defeated another opponent while he looked away.
The civilians in the arena started to chant Syndrell's name as if they believed that she would be the one who would win these fights.
Carvis got up on his feet to watch the fights that were all about to continue to unfold with joy behind a smile at the success his future wife was having in this arena. As he watched he heard footsteps walk out of the area where he was sitting.
It was not very long before Carvis felt a knife in his back and blood began to pour out of him. When his body hit the floor Carvis could see nothing but a pair of red high heels that walked in front of him.
His vision quickly started to fade to where he could not see further than six inches away from him. Then his vision went entirely black.
Only a few minutes after Carvis died, the announcer was tapped on the shoulder by a dark pixie who was wearing a pink dress and heels.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it would seem that this event is now over because someone has killed our dark Lord Carvis.
Due to the rules set up by the original dark creatures the being that killed Lord Carvis now owns all of his land and what is in it. The slaves and others who are under his employment are all released from service". The announcer said as he activated a white magical battier around himself.
Syndrell walked back into the changing room and started to wonder what she would do since at this moment she could not return to the private grounds again. She also was not yet strong enough to break through the dark veil and return to her original home.
She made it to where her locker was and she saw a book as well as a letter that was in an envelope that was sealed by a symbol of a single black eye that had a pair of hands on each side. This letter was addressed to Syndrell. She broke the seal, and the note read:
Hi Miss Syndrell
My name is Strovose. Carvis is my older brother, and he told me all about you. I am offering you a means to both avenge him and possibly return to your home one day in the future.
If you want to hear more about what I have to offer you then please follow the dark elf that is waiting for you outside of the back entrance to the arena.
As Syndrell closed the letter she walked out of the arena and looked for this dark elf that the letter said was waiting for her outside because there was not much of an option to survive this new world on her own since she had no connections to rely on.
