The morning sun peeked through the curtains of Leo's room, casting soft rays across the tatami mats and low wooden furniture. The room was peaceful, yet Leo could feel the subtle excitement of a new day brimming just outside the window. He stretched, his muscles flexing beneath his shirt, and checked the glowing interface of his customized system.

Leo felt a rush of anticipation. The system's quests were setting the stage for some interesting developments, and he was more than ready to dive into this new world.
After getting dressed in his distinctive black jacket, white shirt, and black pants, Leo checked his reflection. His appearance, with his unique hair colors and heterochromatic eyes, gave him a mysterious and captivating aura. He decided to make use of his natural charm and Universal Affection wish to build connections quickly.
Just as he finished getting ready, a knock came at his door. He opened it to find Nomura, looking refreshed and dressed in his school uniform.
"Morning, Leo! Ready for the first day of class?" Nomura asked, flashing a friendly grin.
"Morning, Nomura," Leo replied. "Yeah, I'm ready. I hope you don't mind, but I took a quick peek at today's schedule. It seems we're in for quite a few surprises."
Nomura chuckled. "This place is always full of surprises. Come on, let's grab something to eat before we head to class. I know a good spot in the cafeteria."
They made their way through the dormitory halls, which were a mix of traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern amenities. The atmosphere was lively, with students hurrying to prepare for the day. Leo noticed a few curious glances directed their way—especially at him. His unique presence was already starting to make waves.
The dorm's common area was just like in the anime, a spacious room with comfortable seating arrangements, a large TV, and a variety of games and books scattered around. The walls were decorated with traditional art, but the furniture had a modern, cozy touch. The kitchen area was shared, allowing students to cook or prepare snacks, and Leo could see a few students already seated, having breakfast or chatting in groups.
As they entered the cafeteria, they found Ryo, Nomura's friend, already seated with a tray of food. Ryo looked up and waved them over. "Hey, Nomura! And Leo, right? Grab a seat. I've already got us some food."
"Thanks, Ryo," Leo said as they sat down. "I appreciate it."
The three of them ate and exchanged stories about their past experiences, and Leo found himself enjoying the banter. Nomura and Ryo were both easygoing and down-to-earth, which made the conversation flow naturally.
"So, Leo," Ryo began between bites, "I heard about your fight with Rin. Pretty impressive for a newcomer."
Leo smiled. "Thanks, but it wasn't anything too serious. Just wanted to make an impression."
Nomura laughed. "Well, you certainly did that. Rin's no pushover, and drawing with her on your first day? That's something."
Leo nodded, taking note of the dynamics. It seemed his reputation was already starting to build. As they continued to chat, he subtly used the Relation Function of his system to check the percentage of their feelings toward him. Both Nomura and Ryo showed high levels of trust and friendliness, which was a good sign for future interactions.
They soon made their way to their first class. The classroom was filled with students, each unique in their own way, and Leo could feel the buzz of excitement and curiosity in the air. As he entered, several of the Five Swords members glanced his way. Rin, in particular, seemed to watch him with an intensity that suggested she hadn't forgotten their encounter.
Leo took a seat near the window, where he could observe the entire room. He noticed Mary Kikakujou, another member of the Five Swords, staring at him from a few seats away, her eyes narrowing slightly. There was a spark of interest there—a curiosity about the new guy who dared to face Rin and ended in a draw.
The teacher entered the room, an older man with a no-nonsense demeanor, and began the day's lesson. Despite the academic content, Leo's mind was already formulating plans. The quests set by his system were not just random tasks; they were key opportunities to gain power, allies, and influence in this world.
After the first round of classes, Leo found himself on the roof again, this time with Nomura and Ryo. They discussed the day's events, upcoming battles, and what lay ahead. As they relaxed, Leo noticed Rin and Mary approaching them. The tension in the air was palpable, and Leo could sense an opportunity.
"Nomura," Rin began, "we've got unfinished business. And Leo, I haven't forgotten about you either."
Leo stood, his eyes meeting hers with a calm but challenging gaze. "I'm ready whenever you are, Rin. But why rush into things? We could use this time to understand each other better. Maybe over a sparring session or a discussion about the academy."
Mary smirked, folding her arms. "Bold words. But I'd be interested in seeing how you handle yourself outside of a formal duel."
Leo's system chimed softly in his mind, notifying him of a Special Quest update:-
{
Special Quest Update:
Increase trust with two of the Five Swords and gain an alliance with them.
Reward: Unique skill or item, and access to special training grounds.
}
Leo grinned internally. Things were already moving in an interesting direction. As he interacted with Rin and Mary, the tension gradually shifted to curiosity and interest. Nomura and Ryo watched with amusement, clearly aware that Leo was navigating these waters with a unique approach.
That evening, after a long day of interactions, Leo, Nomura, and Ryo returned to their dorms. As they settled in, Nomura invited Leo over again, and the three of them spent the night playing games, discussing strategies, and planning for the next day.
The camaraderie was growing stronger, and Leo felt more integrated into this world. His goals were clear, and with the quests laid out by his system, he knew exactly how to proceed.
Before heading to bed, Leo glanced at his system again, reviewing his progress and the upcoming challenges. The day had been productive, but this was just the beginning. He was ready for whatever the world of "Armed Girl's Machiavellism" had in store for him.
