Chapter 2 - That girl just have bad luck

Not long after, Ashley stood up to check herself in the mirror; a pleasing smile appeared on her lips. She wore a blue dress that nearly kissed the floor, and atop her head rested a golden crown that added to her hair's beauty.

"After a long time, I finally got my power and beauty back," Ashley said, beaming. She was a woman who valued her beauty and never allowed anyone to touch her. She was fine with many things, but hands off her hair, which she cared for the most.

Suddenly, a knock was heard at the door. Her smile was swiftly replaced with a killing intent as she furrowed her brow, wondering who would disturb her at this time. With a deep breath, she closed her eyes, and within seconds, her breathtaking beauty faded, returning her to her former self.

Ashley walked straight to the door and found a girl standing there. She raised her eyebrows, silently questioning the girl's intentions. Meeting Ashley's unfriendly gaze, the girl shivered in fear and took a step back.

"Mi…miss An…gel, I'm your new ma…maid, Jenny," she stuttered, bowing her head in respect, not daring to look up. "Starting from today, I will be the one to serve you."

"Isn't that the new girl who joined the maid group? What the hell is she doing with that dumb girl?" one of the maids passing by remarked in a mocking tone.

"It's just what you think. That girl just has bad luck; she's been assigned to work as a cleaner, but now she'll be working for a dummy," her friend laughed as they continued on their way.

Ashley closed her eyes, feeling disgusted by their remarks. When she opened them again, she noticed Jenny's frightened expression and nodded to signal her to come in.

As Ashley closed the door, she couldn't help but sense the fear radiating from Jenny. "Why are you scared of me?" Ashley asked softly, rubbing her palms gently.

"Ah!" Jenny screamed in shock, falling to the floor helplessly, her entire body shaking and her hands trembling in fear.

"You don't have to be scared of me, but as long as you keep this a secret, you're free, and you won't end up as dead meat," Ashley smirked

"Y... you... can speak?" Jenny asked, trying hard to gather her courage. Ashley glanced at the girl, and in an instant, a golden light escaped her eye and entered Jenny's. Suddenly, words appeared on the wall:

*Jenny's Information

She is an unknown girl with no background. Her mother died a long time ago, and her father left her for another woman. She and her brother live a frustrating life. When news spread across the city about a search for someone in need of work, she decided to try her luck. The next day, she went to the Killian mansion at the time labeled on the poster. Upon her arrival, she met Noah, who was coming down the steps.

"Hello, mister! I'm here to—" she couldn't finish her statement before Noah cut in with his head down.

"I personally assign you to be her maid. Make sure you protect her and don't allow anyone to threaten her. She can't speak, so you will need to speak on her behalf. You will be paid a substantial amount," he said as he exited the house.

Jenny stood there, stunned, unsure of what to do. Just then, she caught sight of two girls approaching and ran to them, asking if they knew of any girl who could speak. The two girls laughed mockingly before showing her to Ashley's room.

"You're not bad either," Ashley remarked after reading part of Jenny's information. Feeling the warmth in Jenny's heart, she decided not to hurt her. With a smile, she glanced at the girl again, and a golden light escaped her eye, restoring Jenny to her normal self.

"Promise me you won't expose me, and be a good girl," Ashley said lazily as she yawned.

The girl looked at Ashley once more, calming her racing heart.

Sigh* "Anyway, do you have any idea about model companies? Or should I say, do you know where I can start working as a model?" Ashley asked, trying to change the topic.

Jenny glanced at Ashley with a shocked expression and finally spoke. "I know someone have work with him as a cleaner, but... he seems to be arrogant, and he probably wouldn't accept someone with your looks," Jenny replied, shaking her head, not wanting to face Ashley.

"Kok... kok..." The sound of someone's shoes echoed in the silence. Jenny raised her head, only to be captivated by the beauty before her. Her eyes widened, leaving her momentarily speechless.

"What happened to my beauty? Am I too stunning for your style?" Ashley teased as she gently lifted Jenny's chin.

Jenny snapped back to reality as she heard Ashley's words. She stared into her blue eyes and at her flowing beef mixed color hair before managing to stammer out, "Fa... fairy..."

Ashley's smile gradually faded. She glanced at the door, which was already closed, and then looked back at Jenny. "Lower your voice," she said as she sat down in front of the mirror.

Jenny quickly stood up and approached Ashley with a grin. "Miss angel, you look so beautiful!" she exclaimed.

"My name isn't angel I'm Ashley. When we're the only ones together, call me Ashley," she replied, smoothing down her hair.

"Which one is Ashley? Aren't you Miss Angel?" Jenny asked, a frown creasing her forehead.

Sighing, Ashley thought to herself, Why do I feel so free with this girl? If she tries to expose me, I'll just take her life.

"Well, I'm—".....

"That man is so cruel," Jenny said after listening to Ashley's story. "You're a fairy, and I really like you!" She smiled pleadingly at Ashley. "But can you show me part of your magic?"

Ashley sighed and finally shot Jenny a glance. In an instant, a blue light escaped her eyes. A moment later, Jenny was lifted into the air. Her hair changed to a vibrant green, her rough skin glowed beautifully, and her long skirt transformed into a short, colorful garment, reminiscent of a rainbow. Her upper body was covered in a rainbow tube top.
