Chapter 4 - kidnapped

*MoMo Company*

Ashley stood in front of the large building, her gaze fixed on the company name. A smile spread across her face as she walked in with Jenny. Jenny hesitated for a moment before following, her movements slower than usual.

Once inside, Ashley's beautiful aura lingered in the air. She turned to Jenny and noticed her unusual behavior but chose not to ask about it.

"Show me the directions to the office," Ashley said, her tone simple and pleasant. Even in her soft voice, there was a sweetness that captured everyone's attention. Her beauty and charm were undeniable.

Jenny snapped back to reality and raised her head just in time to hear the murmurs around them.

"Isn't that the girl who was sent out of here? What the hell is she doing back?" one voice remarked. "And who is this beauty with her? They must be here begging for work," another added, drawing laughter from the crowd.

Ashley halted in her tracks at the see the remark directed at Jenny. She glanced at the laughing group, and a dark smoke flickered in her eyes, though no one noticed her wild reaction.

Suddenly, a girl nearby began to cough violently, drawing everyone's attention. To their horror, she started vomiting blood—black and red—before collapsing to the floor.

"I've told you many times not to come here! You cause me so many problems! Let me be clear: you can't work here because you're ugly. You're just a girl with no background. Can't you see that only people with powerful backgrounds are allowed in this place?" Director Ken slammed his book on the table.

Even if she has no background, she still has me, and her brother, doesn't she?" Ashley said, striding gracefully into the room, her waist twisting as her perfectly styled hair flowed behind her.

"Do you people have no respect? Haven't I told you to always knock before—" Director Ken began, but he was cut short by Ashley's presence. He stood up, mesmerized as she approached his desk.

"So... tell me, what were you saying before?

The director was struck by the beauty in front of him. He glanced at her from head to toe, and a thought crossed his mind: "Don't be fooled by her; she's just using makeup."

He was not pleased as he turned his gaze to Ashley, then handed her a glass of water. Ashley sensed his underlying thoughts as she took the water and splashed some on her face. Using a nearby wipe, she gently dabbed at her skin, slowly opened her eyes, and a smile appeared on her lips.

Standing up, she announced, "I'm no longer interested in your project, thanks." With that, she grabbed Jenny's hand, and they walked out. The director, about to follow, was interrupted by the news that one of the girls had fainted. Panic set in as he rushed off to assist her.

Once outside the office, Ashley walked in silence, a frown creasing her brow. The atmosphere was tense until Jenny finally broke the silence. "I'm so sorry for what happened," she said, her voice filled with concern.

"It's not your fault. He's kinda dirty, and I don't like him," Ashley replied, easing her frown. Jenny noticed her friend was still angry and pointed to a nearby restaurant. "Why don't we eat something and then have some fun before heading home?"

Ashley didn't respond right away, continuing to walk. After a moment, she turned to see Jenny standing still, lost in thought. Rubbing her forehead, she signaled for Jenny to join her. Jenny smiled and trotted to catch up, wrapping her arms around Ashley's as they strolled together.

"Are you still mad at me?" Jenny asked.

"You naughty girl," Ashley replied with a playful tap on Jenny's head.

Not long after, they finished their meal and spent time browsing for new things. However, by the time they wrapped up, it was already late at night. As they walked, Ashley suddenly stopped in her tracks, a smile blossoming on her face. She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them wide, returning to her usual self with a smirk before continuing.

Jenny noticed Ashley's unusual behavior but didn't get a chance to speak. Instead, her attention was drawn to a group of guys surrounding them.

"Boss, they are the ones! We didn't catch the wrong prey,

"Follow us quietly and don't shout, or you'll lose your life one by one," the boss replied, ignoring the earlier remarks.

"What do you mean, you've caught the wrong person?" Jenny screamed, glancing at Ashley. "Please, please, do something!"

Ashley remained calm and obedient, simply glancing at the men without saying a word. The men moved closer, and before they knew it, they had grabbed Ashley and Jenny and forced them into the car. Ashley continued to wear her smile, while fear consumed Jenny, who was on the verge of tears. Staring at Ashley's calm demeanor was both comforting and confusing for Jenny; she tried to steady herself, knowing that Ashley was no ordinary girl to mess with. But despite her efforts, anxiety flooded her.

Deep down, Jenny resolved that she would sacrifice herself for Ashley. Meanwhile, Ashley's smile widened as if she could sense Jenny's thoughts. Finally, the car came to a stop.

The driver stepped out and dragged Jenny by her hair, while several other men pulled Ashley from the car. Ashley's smile faded when she felt the unwelcome hands touching her body.

Ashley's expression turned cold and dangerous as she faced the man who had touched her. With a swift movement, she splashed his hand, severing it with a sharp edge. He screamed in pain, crying out for help.

"How dare you!" another man shouted as he cocked his gun and aimed it at Ashley. He pulled the trigger, but all the assassins ignored him as they focused their sights on Jenny. In the blink of an eye, Ashley appeared in front of Jenny, causing them all to stumble back in shock. They froze when they saw the dead body on the floor, and without hesitation, they fled, not wanting to waste another moment with her.

Ashley licked the corner of her mouth, stained with blood, and walked over to Jenny, who was crying and hugging her knees with her face hidden between her legs.

"Hey! They're gone. Let's find our way out of here," Ashley said, standing in front of Jenny.

Jenny lifted her head to meet Ashley's gaze, her eyes swollen from tears and her face flushed red with sweat. She stood up, needing to confirm that Ashley was real, but her frown deepened when she noticed their strange surroundings.

"Where are we? What are we doing here?" Jenny asked as she pulled out her phone. She noticed several missed calls from her brother, causing her heart to race. She tried to call him again, but they were in a forest with no signal.

Feeling overwhelmed, she collapsed to the ground and began to cry. Ashley didn't know what to say or do—no one had cared about her before she arrived in this world. Approaching Jenny, she let green smoke escape from her hand as she gently rubbed Jenny's hair. Within moments, Jenny fell asleep.

The next morning, Jenny woke up to a burning smell. She glanced around and spotted Ashley roasting a fish over a fire. Jenny stood up and walked towards her.

"You awake?" Ashley said, not bothering to look up.

"Yeah," Jenny replied softly, nodding her head like an obedient child.

"That's nice. Take this and eat. We need to leave this place as soon as possible. When you're done, call my name. I will be back," Ashley instructed as she stood to her feet.

"Where are you going? Don't leave me here! I'm scared!" Jenny exclaimed, hurried
