Cory's POV
"Are you sure he's the right guy? Can I trust him?" I ask over the phone, pacing with purpose in my room.
"Of course, man! He's exceptional at this sort of thing. Just remember, you'll need to pay him well for this job. The person you're going up against is a big deal, and that adds a layer of risk for all of us," Dre responds, his tone serious.
"I know that already; I'm not clueless. What matters is that he can deliver results," I reply assertively.
"Trust me, brother. I wouldn't steer you wrong. This is our first time teaming up; I wouldn't recommend anyone incompetent," he reassures me, echoing the trust we've built in the past.
"Right. Just make sure he's at my place first thing tomorrow morning," I order, feeling my tension ease as I sink onto the couch, a glass of alcohol within reach.
"Understood," Dre confirms before hanging up.
