Somewhere in South Asian Sea
1900 Hours
At the bridge of UNS Henry Shawfield, the Admiral was waiting for his orders to deploy. They were waiting for the signal from the League of Nations in order to start the policing action in the Cornalian region. After waiting for several hours, an officer on deck delivered the order from the outside of the bridge.
The Admiral took the letter and read it. He looked at the officer after and told him to go at ease after he saluted. "It's time, everyone. We have the green light to deploy!"
Operation Savior's Protocol began, and the Oceanic Union of Newfoundland's forces deployed their military assets. Aircraft took off from the aircraft carrier, UNS Henry Shawfield. Amphibious units were also on their way to Maria Acuzena City as well.
The Admiral on the bridge, looking at the direction where the plane headed, asked his subordinate beside of him. "I thought the end of Damian's insurgency had pacified this region?"
"Yes, sir! It should have, thus, the OCZs exist. However, there are those who remained and called themselves the 'Successors' of Damian's will." The Captain replied to the Admiral.
"Whatever the ruse these people could find just to cause trouble is unjustifiable. Something must be done!" The Admiral commented, looking at his watch.
Suddenly, an officer on the bridge told everyone about the news. The newscaster was reporting at Port Jones, located twenty kilometers from Maria Acuzena City.
"We are delivering you live, the current updates of the Siege of Maria Acuzena City!…" The female newscaster said and continued, "Today, at twenty-first of the ninth month, twenty ninety-five of the common time. The Successors, militants who were involved with the Damian terrorist group, attacked the city of Cornalia…"
Looking at the devastation in the city and the damage at the Hollander Mall, the biggest in the city appalled the Admiral. He also saw silhouettes of humanoid weapons on the ground marching towards the mall.
"I'll be damned! They looked better armed today than they ever were the last decades. Who could have armed and supported them?"
"I don't know, sir!" The Captain replied.
"It must be the damned Second World countries. They could benefit from turning Cornalia into their proxy ally." The Admiral concluded.
"You could be right about that to some extent. However, who would want to get involved with them? The Cornalians? Their economy is in shambles, their people divided, and it's a nightmare to aid them." The captain added.
"We are hundreds of kilometers away from the region. Yet, because of our assets, we could see what's going on in the city… If you know what I mean, captain!" the admiral said to the captain.
"Yes, of course… sir!" the captain replied.
"Even if the region looked like a wasteland to you. Picture a scenario where the people come together to confront the alliance of the first world countries. The reasoning behind of this is not being involved with a place filled with rabid wolves. It is not to unite and turn them into a major enemy in the future!" the admiral explained.
"You don't mean?" the captain got the gist of what the admiral was saying.
"It would either they would join us or against us. If they were against us, it's better they fight themselves. Divide and conquer, we say! We are not defending the people or the innocents here. We are taking measures to safeguard our foreign policy. The second world nations must not win this Second Cold War!" the admiral continued his speech earlier that surprised the captain.
Fighter aircrafts passed by above the bridge, heading toward Maria Acuzena City. The admiral excused himself from the bridge and the captain resumed his command on the ship.

[Dorothy West's POV]
Major Adams was drinking water from the bottle, watching the television. Dorothy West, Dorothy Dawn's double and assistant, replaced her command as she was being extracted earlier. The two were talking about the next plan of the operation.
"This is sentinel, reporting for updates!" The scout, who was assisting the extraction effort of Dorothy Dawn, contacted on radio.
"Copy that, sentinel!" Dorothy West replied.
"To safely navigate our package, we have waited for darkness. The courier is fifty percent close to extraction!" The scout replied.
"Fifty percent? That's slow!" Dorothy West replied.
"We have no other choice, ma'am. The enemy is all over the place. Any wrong move will get them swarmed and killed." The scout replied.
While Dorothy West and the scout were talking. Major Adams was fixated on the television screen. He heard that the Union of Newfoundland has already sent aircraft and troops to aid the pacification of the region.
"Ma'am! You have to hear this!" Major Adams said to Dorothy.
"Breaking news, the Oceanic Union of Newfoundland has sent its task force to aid with the crisis at the Cornalian Region. Their air forces and amphibious units were heading on the city of Maria Acuzena…"
Dorothy did not expect the Newfoundland's response to be early. She knew that if their aircraft would reach Cornalian airspace, it would be trouble for the extraction effort of Dorothy Dawn. She immediately contacted her superiors through a secure line.
She left the makeshift command center and went near the balcony of the mall on the fourth floor. After the third ring, an operator answered her call.
"This is Dorothy Dawn! There's something I would like to report. We need a change of plans!"
