Sici kept staring at her computer screen, regretting her life decisions.

"How many times have I retried this part? I keep dying and they keep making me come back to this loading screen!" She complained, slamming her hand against the table.

"Games are supposed to help me relax, not make me more frustrated!" She got up from her seat, heading towards the fridge.

She was hoping to drink a can of beer as a last way to hold onto her rationality and finish the game while she's still sane.

Naturally, as luck would have it, the fridge was as good as empty. She had forgotten to restock as usual, making her frustration meter rise to the brim.

Sici let out a huge sigh, putting on a red hoodie. Pulling the hood over her head to hide her messy hair. She didn't want to bother fixing it just to be out for awhile at night.

After buying some groceries and cans of beer, she walks out of the store. Her attention drifts towards a cat walking in the middle of the street.

Without a second thought, Sici rushes off towards it before it gets run over by a car.

She used to be in gymnastics so getting the cat and herself out of the situation wasn't hard but thrilling to her.

"Meow!" The black kitten purred in her arms.

"You're a naughty kitten, I'm sure you know that," she said laughing, catching her breath and checking her grocery bag.

"Maybe I shouldn't over do it," She hadn't exercised for a while so her joints started to hurt.

Regardless, a sigh of relief comes out of her. Some passer-by claps for her in admiration for the scene she just pulled.

She gets up, the kitten in her arms snuggling up to her warmth, "Should I take you home?"

She soon noticed a black cat with more kittens around it. "Oh, you're not alone.."

She starts to feel sad, "I can't just take you away from your family."

She patted the kitten one last time before putting it down beside it's siblings, near an alley. The cats purred and soon walked away, in the dark alley.

She kept staring, "This is a short cut anyway. I will just follow along."

"Just to be sure."

Indeed it was a short cut. Just not the kind she had thought of.

A stranger, as if waiting for he's moment to strike, doesn't hesitates to miss the chance of stabbing her with a knife from behind.

Caught by surprise, her reflexes weren't enough to avoid that situation.

While the man doesn't wastes his time and kicks her in the guts after twisting the knife and taking it out, for her to bleed out. He takes her belongings and runs off.

She oddly accepts her end, seeing the blood drip out of her body and slowly pouring onto the ground.

The cats come out of their hiding spot, snuggling up to her as they let out soft sounds as if they are sad.

She gently pats them with her other hand that didn't get any blood on it, "At least I get to be around a cat till my last breath. Deaths aren't such a bad thing....."

The cats softly meow as if they understand the situation. "Though this shit hurts.."

She tries to stop the blood from pouring out but it's too late. She understands it seeing how much blood she had lost.

Her lips form a soft smile, "I hope that mother-fucker suffers a worse death though."

"Sigh.. It's a pity, I never got to finish that story." Her eyes close, consciousness fading away.

Sici's pain slowly had vanished into a feeling of nothing. When she tried to open her eyes, she couldn't.

Unable to understand what was happening to her, she touched the spot she was stabbed. Only to feel nothing. Not even the wetness of a wound, as if it never happened.

A gentle voice calls out to her, "Are you really accepting your death like this?"

Sici answers without hesitation, "What can I do but accept it?"

"What if I gave you another chance at life?"

"Would you still decide to die?"

"I've got nothing to lose at this point. So it depends on what you're offering," even though she wanted to accept the offer, she still couldn't help but be cautious. If only she could open her eyes and see who's she talking to.

The person talking to her chuckled, "Don't you want revenge?"

Sici smiled, "Why wouldn't I?"

"Revenge. That's the catch. So, will you take the chance?"

Unexpectedly, she could finally open her eyes without thinking about it, "Sounds like a deal."

She was stunned for awhile as she saw an angel like man with long shiny blonde hair just sitting on a so called throne.

She quickly scanned the place to see it's an empty white void of nothingness.

Soon turning her attention to her body to check her wounds, just to find nothing. "Is this heaven or hell? Or a middle ground?" She thought.

"Wait, what are you? Where am I?"

He smiles, "What do you think? Most would prefer to call me an angel."

"No doubt.. What do you get by all this? Is this a test to see if I go to hell or heaven? Is that why you're asking me about chances and revenge?" She kept asking questions so the angel flicked his fingers, making her mouth shut.

"Mhm!!"

"I don't think a normal individual would behave like this," though the angel felt annoyed by her, he was also amused.

She kept staring at him with a questionable face, not happy at all as she couldn't talk. She raised her hand.

The angel flicked his fingers again, allowing her another chance to talk, "I just want to say, I prefer not going to hell."

"So if my answer has affected that outcome, I would like another chance."
