Chapter 36 - New world

He noticed a deer eating some soft leaves in some distance. Watching this, a thought arose in him to imitate the deer. So, he also slowly moved towards that part of the forest and tried eating these soft leaves. The taste of these leaves was not great but he had a tiny feeling of fulfilment from as it went to his empty stomach. He tried a few other leaves but the ones that were eaten by the animals were more fulfilling. He stuffed himself with some leaves and continued observing the forest and the various sights it had to offer.

He was not full with his meal, but the novelty of everything around him drew all his attention. He saw few other animals, birds and insects eating various things but he did not feel those food were good for him. He started roaming around the area. He was searching for other organisms to observe what they ate to get ideas for his meal.

He saw some birds eating bright red-coloured berries which grabbed his attention. The smell and the colour of the fruit attracted him so he went and stuffed himself with it. The juices with sweet and a bit of sour taste started spilling in his mouth which he enjoyed very much. This was his first experience of something tasteful.

Wandering and searching, eventually, he learned about a few other fruits.

In order to eat the fruits in higher places, he started learning to balance on two limbs instead of four which he was using currently. This was very difficult and challenging at first but the taste and fulfillment he got with those fruits motivated him to get used to his two legs.

He felt more natural walking on two limbs rather than four. After stuffing himself with almost all the fruits like berries in the small bushes that he could find, he sat beside a tree to rest and digest it, and even fell asleep for some time.

After waking up, he continued exploring the forest where he saw two monkeys looking like apes with vigorous auras fighting with various injuries with blood flowing all around their bodies.

This was the first time he saw blood which brought an unease and unsettling feeling in his stomach. But his curiosity got the better of him and he continued watching the fight.

The fight settled after one monkey lost his stamina and fell causing another to jump and thump his chest making a weird sound as if declaring his superiority. He then saw the winning monkey gathering some strange yellow-colored fruits, separating those that had a bit of light growing around them and eating them.

After eating the fruits, the vigor of the ape was growing instead of reducing despite the intense fight. This fight was very intriguing for him as this was the first time he saw fighting and his heart wanted to fight the stronger monkey. He was more interested in winning against the ape than thinking of the taste of the strange glowing fruits as if he wanted the thrill of winning that the winning ape was experiencing.

But he also felt that this ape was very dangerous. He started observing the trees that could grow these more nutritious fruits and remembered them. Seeing the gaze of the ape upon him, he wanted to leave this area quickly. Moving along the way, he saw various other kinds of animals and many other such fights. Most of the fights were related to some fruits.

He then saw a grey-colored wolf hunting a rabbit and killing it.

Before the wolf could eat the rabbit, the wolf noticed the child who was taller with a height about 130cm having bright, curious eyes that seemed to twinkle with excitement and wonder. His eyes are a deep shade of brown, like rich chocolate, and they sparkle whenever he laughs or discovers something new. His cheeks are round and rosy, appearing full of energy despite the unusual contrasting dark and white complexion of his face.

His smile is wide and infectious, with a small gap between his two front teeth that gives him an adorable, mischievous look. His skin is smooth and slightly sun-kissed from hours spent under the sun.

His hair is a tousled mop of soft, sandy brown locks that always seem a bit unruly, no matter how much it's brushed. A tiny dimple appears on his left cheek whenever he grins, making his expression even more endearing.

His face is full of youthful innocence and boundless curiosity, reflecting the joy and simplicity of childhood.

Seeing this naïve child, the wolf first had the thought of making another prey for its meal. Upon close observation, it felt some unusual aura and pressure from this child which made it not want to take risks so it started feasting upon the rabbit quickly. The child continuously watched the whole process of the wolf finishing its meal and leaving. The child went over to observe the leftovers, he tried tasting the blood and some bit of flesh left like how the wolf ate. The metallic taste and the chewy texture felt unique to him but overall it did not feel as tasty as the berries for him. He even tried tasting the bones but they were hard to chew and had little taste so he disliked them even more.

Being dissatisfied with his newfound type of food, he left the area.

He continued moving forward and found a small lake-like water body where a few weak animals were drinking water. Imitating these animals, he went there and drank water to fulfill his thirst. While drinking, he saw the reflection in the water observing his face for the first time which was novel and interesting for him. He moved his hands to touch different parts of his face which was reflected in the water amusing him. Slowly, the animals around the lake left the place but the child seemed to not notice as he was engrossed in observing his reflection.

Suddenly, a crocodile appeared in the water and ambushed him. Instinctively, he raised his fist in retaliation which seemed to hit the crocodile hard causing it to run away. He felt his heart beating faster with this encounter, pain in his hand, which had some bruises, and a bit of blood flowing due to hitting the sharp scales of the crocodile.

It was very unusual for a 7-year-old human body to hit the sharp scale of a crocodile and cause damage to it as human bodies were fragile but this boy had done it. The bit of blood loss made him feel a little weak but his thoughts were lingering on the strange thrill of winning a fight with another animal and the rush of adrenaline.

He started reevaluating the strength of his body thinking he might also be able to fight with other animals. The battle lust in his body started taking shape.

But his body felt weak and hungry with this sudden blood loss so he started searching for food to eat.

He could only find several smaller fruits like berries. He had seen some tasty-looking fruits like oranges and apples in the territories of foxes and boars previously.

With his newfound confidence in his body, he chased these foxes and boars with his fist earning some injuries, and took those fruits enjoying them to recover his body.

He started proactively searching for animals to beat them after finding the strength of his body.
