Chapter 6 - Chapter 5-It's only for a night

Next day

Short black skirt, tan low-cut shirt, and black purse and heels to go with, I recheck the mirror, I always go out now, job or no job. Party till the sun comes up, fall in love for a night, drink until you black out, I just want to forget, I just wanna feel. Something, anything.

"You coming?" Liv says from the bathroom I turn, taking her in. A short black mini dress, that was made for the club. "Yeah," I say following her out.

I check my phone for any texts from unknown we decided to keep this going with rules no more pictures, no looking each other up, no voice notes or calls, no information, I can say whatever the fuck I want without meeting him, He's like a fresh breath of air. Plus he's like the first guy who still wants to talk to me without looking at me in a short skirt.

Do you know how easy that is? to just be me?

There's no text and I'm almost disappointed. I followed Liv to the Mustang that red decided to give to her and hopped in rolling the window down, and feeling the breeze on my skin and in my hair, I put my hand out savoring the flavor. Finally, we arrived at the cliffside the hit spot, on a huge cliffside with sea for miles out, some people even did hard drugs or were drunk and walked the little cliff that could collapse any second and they could die, I've never seen it done, but Liv has, she says the girl almost tumbled to her death they called it walking the plank

We got into the main part of the party, crackheads, and meth addicts surround the area, old couches, and chairs, people dancing to RnB music, something by the weekend is on, the speakers blare, and I know in a couple of hours someone will call the police. I go to the tables and down alcohol, until it burns then start to dance, when I see him, my victim, the person who gets to know my body, I start towards him his eyes dance around me, and his hands find my hair, "Are you sure you wanna dance with the devil?" his accent thick Italian most likely his eyes challenge me, most girls would say a simple yes, or giggle but then most girls are boring, he's testing me so I narrow my eyes. making intense eye contact, "I'm worse than the devil, in fact, I'm sure he's scared of me," I say cocking my head with an evil smirk. He smiles pulling my hair back, making me really look at him, "we'll see about that angel" he says. "What's your name?" he asked, but my put my fingers to his lips "let's dance," I say, tugging him by the wrist grinding, grabbing, touching, and dancing along with everyone else getting lost into the beat.

We got drinks after 3 songs, I brushed up against him "They warned me about your type" he says taking a deep breath, tattoos all over his arms, lights reflecting on his eyes, I bit my lip, stop....it's just for a night. "Oh really? but the devil can't resist can he?" He chuckles "that's where your wrong, this is just for a night but what about you angel can't resist darkness?" "see that's where your wrong I'm not an angel"

Something changed in his eyes, Flickered for just a moment could he see the dead in mine? usually I could tell what people were thinking but I couldn't read him, "Let's walk the plank" he says, taking my hand before I can even reply. "What?" we arrived at the risky slim, plank. Taking it in, "do you trust me?" he ask, whispering in my ear his minty breath touching me, hands on my lower back, that I didn't wanna slap off. I didn't feel like a whore, it felt different. I sigh, "No"

"Good", he guides me in front of him, could the plank even take our weight?, would it crumble? would I care? Lightly pushing me to walk, I start moving, inching towards my death, my heels touch the jagged old rock we walked across I held my breath, I think he did too. I looked down not being able to see where the path ended, the party looking at us slowly walking across, we made it to the very edge everyone started to erupt in laughs and sighs of relief, cheering us on. I looked back wanting to see their faces, and I smiled. Not a smirk a smile, I looked at him, he was smiling too "Alice, my name is Alice" I say breathy, the cool wind blowing my blonde hair. I looked at the crowd once more, my heel taking a single step back the rock began to crumble I gasp, it was going to take me with it, but he grabbed my hand, pulling me up, with him, I was mid fall everyone's shocked faces, told Alice everything, they thought she would die, but...the devil saved her.

he leaned closer, and closer to the edge leaning over the cliff, almost like he was joining her, wanting to fall and die with her, he whispered in her ear, she would've giggled if this wasn't the situation, I mean he was seriously her life line, he still needed to pull her up, and all Alice was thinking was, God how can he make this situation sexy were hanging from a fucking cliff snap out of it Alice. I'm going to die turned on...so embarrassing.

he leaned his head against her hair, pulling her up finally "Can't let my angel fall now can I?" he says, everyone cheers, seeing us walking again, and Liv is standing in the crowd gushing over me, the second I leave the cliff, "Omg you scared me half to death" she says, tall dark and handsome, leans over her towering her, hands in his pockets "Zane" he says, she narrows her eyes...his name, his name is Zane, it's kinda pretty.

"We need to leave" says Liv, I raise my eyebrows "why the night is still young" she says using Liv favorite line, Liv scoffs at her attempt "Remember scary eyebrows?" Liv says,

...scary...oh shit big mafia guy we stole from, a few weeks ago. "He's here?!?" I say, looking around, Zane tenses "I can handle him for you" he says scouting the area. "Don't bother, were just gonna leave" Liv says, tugging my arm. "Bye angel" he says, staring right into my eyes, "Bye Mr devil" I say, smirking....something tells me this isn't over.

or maybe it is... after all it's only for a night.

"Spark on the way back?" asked Liv. I sighed and took the tray out of the console. Rolling up, Liv rolled down the window, and we passed the joint on the way back until it was only a nub, flicking it out the window.
