Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 :The Search For Me

As the sunset cast its warm orange glow over the house, Mom made her way downstairs, her long, vibrant blue nightgown fluttering behind her. She was looking forward to a quiet evening at home with her family. Her husband, Dad, was still out, and her son, Aster, was expected home from school soon.

Mom entered the kitchen, her mind already focused on preparing dinner. She thought to herself, "I need to prepare dinner before Aster and my man come home. What dinner should I make today? Hmm... maybe I should prepare Tacos. That really is a great option. I'm sure everyone is going to love it."

As she began to cook, the kitchen was filled with the savory aromas of sizzling meat and spices. Mom was using a magical stove, known as the "Flarion," which was powered by a small crystal that amplified her magic. The Flarion allowed her to cook with precision and speed, making meal preparation a breeze.

As the evening wore on, Dad arrived home, wearing his usual black shirt and shorts, which were stained with sweat from his training outside. He entered the Solarium, looking around for Aster, but he wasn't there. Dad's brow furrowed with concern as he went upstairs to look for his son.

When he couldn't find Aster, he entered the kitchen, where Mom was still cooking. "Do you know where Aster could be?" Dad asked, his voice tinged with worry. "Has he arrived home yet?"

Mom stopped cooking, her expression changing from calm to concerned. "W-Wait, what? He hasn't come home yet? I thought he was the one who just came home."

"It was me," Dad replied, his eyes scanning the surrounding area, wondering if Aster might be walking home.

Mom's concern deepened. "Let's wait for him, maybe he might be walking home now. But what if something happened to him? What if he's hurt?"

Dad placed a reassuring hand on Mom's shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll find him. He's a strong boy, and he can take care of himself."

As they waited, Mom couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. She thought to herself, "Aster is a strong boy, but he's still just a child. What if something terrible happened to him? What if he's in danger?"

Dad, sensing Mom's distress, wrapped his arms around her. "We'll find him, honey. I promise. We'll do everything in our power to bring him home safely."

As the darkness outside deepened, Mom and Dad stood together, their hearts filled with worry and their minds racing with worst-case scenarios. But they held on to hope, knowing that they would do everything in their power to find me and bring me home.

Mom got up and said, "Oh... I forgot about dinner. Dinner is ready." She then got up and walked with her legs widely spaced out, a clear indication that she was upset.

"She really is upset," my Dad said, looking at her walking style with a mixture of amusement and concern. "Tomorrow, I have to check the school and ask the principal." He paused, looking up as if thinking. "We will look for you, Aster, so stay strong."

My Dad wasn't upset because he knew I was a strong boy. He had trained me well, after all. Dad then got up and went to the kitchen because he could smell the aroma of the Tacos Mom had made.

As he entered the kitchen, he saw that Mom had already served the Tacos on each plate on the table. There were three tacos on each plate, with a cup of tea beside each plate. Dad sat down beside Mom and said, "It shall be well."

Dad said that having faith in me as he continued, "I trained him after all." Mom looked at Dad with anger and knocked his head with a nearby spoon.

"Do you actually think your training is going to help him in any way?" Mom asked, her voice stern. "What if something bad happened to him?"

Dad said pleadingly, "Maybe you're right. Forget everything I just said. I will do my best to look for him, even if I have to use my power."

Mom said firmly, "No, that's only going to bring chaos." Dad knew she was right, but it was his will as my father to protect me.

As they sat there in silence, Dad suddenly said, "You know, I once trained Aster to break a rock with just one punch."

Mom rolled her eyes. "That's not something to brag about, dear. Besides, I'm sure Aster would have been better off learning how to cook."

Dad chuckled. "Hey, my training methods are sound! And besides, I'm sure Aster can cook. He just needs to work on his presentation."

Mom smiled slightly, despite herself. "I suppose that's true. But let's focus on finding Aster right now."

As they sat there, waiting and worrying, Dad suddenly jumped up, trying to cheer Mom up. "I've got it! I'll just use my patented 'Dad Vision' to locate Aster!"

Mom face-palmed. "That's not a thing, dear."

Dad knew she was right, but he did this to cheer Mom up. But Dad was undeterred. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and focused all his energy on locating me.

After a few moments of silence, Dad suddenly pointed to the door. "Aha! I've got him! Aster is... um... somewhere out there."

Mom raised an eyebrow. "That's very helpful, dear."

Despite the tension and worry, they both couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

As they sat there, waiting and laughing together, they knew that they would face whatever challenges lay ahead, as long as they had each other.

"I'm glad we have each other," Mom said, smiling at Dad.

Dad smiled back. "Me too, dear. Me too."

As they sat there, holding hands and waiting for my return, they knew that they would always be there for each other, no matter what.

And as they waited, they couldn't help but think about all the times we had spent together as a family. They thought about all the laughter, the tears, and the adventures we had shared.

They knew that no matter what lay ahead, they would face it together, as a family.

And as they sat there, eating dinner, they knew that they would always be there for each other, no matter what.

Meanwhile me still in my cell, As it was evening, a burly gangster with a red handkerchief tied across his head stormed in, slamming his baton against the metal bars. "Get to sleep, I don't want to hear any voices! You got that?" he barked, his eyes scanning the room with a mixture of disdain and boredom.

I shifted uncomfortably, trying to find a more comfortable position on the cold, hard floor. The girl beside me, with her bright white hair which was long and reachre her back flashed me a cheerful smile. "I'm going to sleep, don't touch me when I'm sleeping," she said, her voice dripping with a playful warning.

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her statement. "Wait, what do you mean?" I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me.

The girl's smile faltered for a moment, replaced by a hint of annoyance. "You pervert, you already know what I'm talking about," she said, her voice laced with a hint of teasing.

I sighed, feeling a flush rise to my cheeks. "I don't know what you're talking about," I protested, trying to sound innocent.

The girl chuckled, a low, throaty sound. "Save it, I'm not buying it," she said, shaking her head. She then placed her head on her hand, closing her eyes as she lay down on the floor, her slender body relaxed in sleep.

I watched her for a moment, feeling a pang of envy. How could she sleep so easily in this cramped, dirty cell? I sighed, resting my head on my lap, trying to calm my racing thoughts.

"What will I do now?" I muttered to myself, feeling a sense of desperation creeping in. "Will we be trapped in this cell for days, with no sign of rescue or release."

The Next day, Dad was walking downstairs after dressing, wearing a pair of dark jeans with a fitted gray shirt. He looked determined, his eyes fixed on the door.

"I better look for Aster now," Dad said to himself, his voice low and serious. "Before something really happens to him."

As Dad opened the door, Mom appeared behind him still wearing her nightgown, her eyes flashing with a hint of anger.

"Where are you going?" Mom asked, her voice firm but controlled.

Dad turned around, a sheepish expression on his face. "I'm going to Aster's school to get some information and then look for him."

Mom's eyes narrowed, her aura glowing with a soft, pulsing light. She released a tiny part of her aura in anger, and the air around her seemed to vibrate with energy.

"Are you going without me?" Mom asked, her voice dripping with annoyance.

Dad swallowed hard, realizing Mom had released a tiny portion of her power. He could sense her aura radiating around the house, making the air feel charged with electricity.

"N-Noo... who said I was going without you?" Dad stammered, waving his hands in a placating gesture.

Mom's expression softened, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "Thanks, now come and have breakfast."

Dad breathed a sigh of relief as Mom turned and walked towards the kitchen. He followed her, his eyes fixed on her back.

As they entered the kitchen, Dad's eyes widened in surprise. The table was set with a simple but elegant breakfast spread: Elven Tea, a brownish liquid that seemed to glow with an inner light, and Elven Bread, freshly baked and fragrant.

Dad's stomach growled in anticipation, but he couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment. "What's this, only tea and bread?" he asked, trying to sound casual. "Couldn't you make something heavier?"

Mom looked up at him, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "Well, I thought you weren't hungry because you were going to go out just now, so I thought I would make something light."

Dad's face fell, and he looked at Mom with a sheepish expression. "You did this because Aster wasn't here, didn't you?"

Mom's expression softened, and she reached out to pat Dad's hand. "Of course, I did. I'm worried about Aster, just like you."

Dad nodded, feeling a lump form in his throat. He looked at Mom, and for a moment, they just stared at each other.

Dad then sat down without a word and drank the tea as he ate the bread along. Dad looked at Mom, who was drinking her tea, and Dad said, "Even though we look young, you're still beautiful as ever." Mom looked at Dad, who was staring at her, and Mom smiled.

"After all these years, you still know how to make me blush," Mom said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Dad's face turned bright red as he looked away, trying to compose himself. "I-I just speak the truth," he stammered.

Mom chuckled and patted Dad's hand. "You're always so charming, dear."

After breakfast, Mom said, "Can you wash the cups for me? I'm going to get changed."

Dad said, "Sure, go and get changed."

Mom smiled, turning her neck slowly, and then got up and headed to her room. Dad then got up and took the two cups and went to the sink and turned on the tap and washed them nicely.

As Dad was washing the cups, he couldn't help but think about how much he loved Mom. "She's always been my rock, my partner in every sense of the word," he thought to himself. "I'm so lucky to have her by my side."

After washing the cups, Dad went to the solarium to stretch. Soon, Mom came downstairs wearing a pair of blue jeans and a comfortable white sweater.

Mom said, "Shall we go now?"

Dad swallowed hard and said, "R-Righ."

Mom teased, "If you think I'm beautiful, just say it already. This isn't your first time saying it, after all."

Dad agreed, "You look beautiful, as usual."

Mom jumped in delight, her eyes sparkling with joy. "You always know how to make me happy, dear."

Dad smiled, looking at Mom's improved mood. "Let's go, shall we? We need to go to Aster's school right away."

Dad went to the door as Mom followed. As they stepped outside, they were greeted by the warm sunshine and the bustling sounds of the neighborhood. People walked by, going about their daily business, while the beautiful houses nearby seemed to shine in the morning light.

"I hope Aster is okay," Mom said, her voice filled with concern.

Dad put his arm around Mom's shoulders. "We'll find him, don't worry."

Mom smiled, feeling a sense of reassurance. "You're right, dear."

As they walked towards Aster's school, Dad couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and love for his family. "We'll get through this together," he thought to himself. "No matter what."

It didn't take long for my Dad and Mom to reach my school. As they entered the school grounds, they were immediately surrounded by students in their uniforms, chatting and laughing with each other.

Mom wondered, "Whoa, there are a lot of students outside."

Dad thought, "It seems they're having recess."

As they entered the school building, they were greeted by the sound of chatter and the smell of old books. Mom said, "Which one is Aster's class? Is it Class E, isn't it?"

Dad said, "Let's separate ourselves to find his class. I think that's the best solution."

Mom said, "Right, let's do this."

As they walked through the crowded hallways, the students couldn't help but stare at them. "Whoa, they look young and beautiful. Are they going to be our teachers?" one student whispered to another.

Mom and Dad heard the whispers, but they just smiled and continued on their way.

Mom went to Class A-1, where Ryder, Jake, and Max were learning about magic healing. She popped her head in, looking for Aster, but when she couldn't find him, she smiled and moved on to the next class.

Dad, meanwhile, went to Class D-2, searching for any sign of Aster. He checked Class C-1, Class C-2, and Class C-3, but there was no sign of his son.

Mom was still upstairs, checking the remaining classes. She stopped in front of the Principal's Office and thought, "I've checked all the classes, and I still can't find Aster. I'm going to go see the Principal."

As Mom reached out to open the door, Professor Everwood came out, looking surprised to see a parent standing there.

Professor Everwood swallowed and wondered "W-What's a parent doing here."

"Um, good morning. May I help you today?" She stuttered.

Mom said, "May I see the Principal, please?"

Professor Everwood's eyes widened in alarm. "I-is everything okay? Did something happen to your child?"

Mom's eyes narrowed, her patience wearing thin. "Are you the principal?" she asked in a hurry.

Professor Everwood took a step back, her hands raised in a placating gesture. "No, please, I'm not the principal. If there's any help I can offer, I'm also here to help."

Mom's eyes flashed with annoyance, and she wondered, "She's blocking my way, I will punch her if she doesn't leave."

Professor Everwood, sensing Mom's anger, thought to herself, "She looks dangerous, who is her child anyway? Her child might be either Class C, Class B, or Class A."

Dad, sensing the tension, climbed upstairs and heard Mom yelling. He rushed to her side and asked, "What's going on, have you found Aster yet?"

Professor Everwood's eyes widened in surprise, and she thought, "Did he say Aster?"

Mom folded her arms, her expression stern. "This woman is preventing me from entering the principal's office."

Dad's calm demeanor was a stark contrast to Mom's anger. "Why are you preventing us from entering the Principal's Office?" he asked Professor Everwood.

Professor Everwood's expression changed, and she bowed her head. "I understand now, you're looking for Aster."

Mom's eyes narrowed, her voice low. "You'd better tell the Principal we're here."

Professor Everwood nodded hastily. "Hope you don't mind if I tell the Principal. You wait here till she agrees to meet you."

Mom's expression turned cold, her voice dripping with warning. "She'd better agree."

Dad placed a calming hand on Mom's shoulder. "Whoa, keep calm, dear. We don't want to cause a scene."

Professor Everwood nodded hastily and scurried into the Principal's Office, leaving Mom and Dad waiting anxiously outside.

As Mom and Dad waited, Mom's impatience grew, her foot tapping gently on the ground. Dad wondered, "She really is worried. I've never seen her like this before."

Then, the door opened again, and Professor Everwood smiled nervously. "The Principal will like to see you now."

Mom held Dad's hand, her grip tight. "Let's go."
