Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Lavender had finally rung the bell after her friend sacrificed herself to break the barrier.

She was on the floor bleeding uncontrollably.

It hurt but she was happy it finally ended. Even though she had wounds in different areas and probably thirty-five different bones fractured she was still happy.

She could finally die. The one thing that was stopping her from dying was out of the way.

She was sad that Monica, her friend, sacrificed herself to help her. She wished her friend could be alive.

She glanced one more time to her surroundings. She saw bodies littered around her.

Although she was satisfied with the results she regretted the sacrifices it took.

She was sad that they sacrificed their lives for someone who wants to die.

She smiled one more time before closing her eyes. She wondered where it went wrong.

Rewind 268 years ago.

Lavender was woken up by the sound of her alarm going off.

Reluctantly she gets out of bed, scared of the thought of her mother waking her up.

She took a shower before getting changed into her uniform.

After getting fully dressed she rushed downstairs and took her breakfast.

She would more often than not miss the bus. This time she wanted make it on time.

She took two sandwiches and kissed her mother goodbye before running out.

She ran as fast as she could to the bus stop. Even though she got out earlier than usual she couldn't be sure she made it in time.

Eventually she saw the bus arrive at the stop. She ran with all her might.

While running she tripped over one of her laces and fell.

She didn't stop though. She ran until she caught it in time.

Out of breath she climbed the bus. She saw Harper saved her a seat.

Even though she was dripping with sweat she smiled and sat next to her.

They began chatting as usual about the happenings at school and what they were up to.

Not long after their topic turned to the hottest guy in their school, Kyle.

He was someone who was loved by all but approached by non.

He also happened to be the subject of most rumors. They weren't really gossips but when there was interesting information they had to get it.

At S.F High.

The bus had arrived at their school. Lavender and Harper took their things and got off the bus.

They were walking to the building when Lavender tripped.

It was her shoe lace again. She couldn't believe it was already untied.

Harper left her behind as she tied her shoe laces.

As she was running up to Harper after tying her laces she bumped into something hard. It was someone's back.

The person she bumped into turned their head to look at her. It was Kyle.

He glared at her before telling her to apologize. She did so quickly and hurried to Harper.

Harper began fussing over the fact that she bumped into Kyle.

There was a rumor in their school. It said that no one could get close to Kyle. The closest anyone has gotten was five feet.

The rumor was true. Even if someone wasn't paying attention they would subconsciously avoid him so her bumping into him was a miracle.

Harper teased her and asked her questions about it for most of the day.

Lavender felt so happy. She didn't believe that she would be able to get near Kyle. It was like a dream.

She was giddy about it for the entire day. Nothing could make her happier.

Even though he was rude she still liked him.

She didn't really believe in love so what she felt was far from it.

What she felt towards him was admiration. He was handsome, smart, good at playing the violen and kind.

She couldn't stop thinking about it the entire day.

Harper suggested they walked home. Lavender agreed and off they went.

As they were walking and chatting they felt someone following them. They picked up the pace and so did the person.

Eventually they stopped walking. The person caught up to them and tapped Lavenders shoulder.

She turned around to see a man with a wide smile on his face wearing a hood.

Although she was creeped out she politely asked if he needed anything.

He pointed to his stomach. She understood what he was trying to say and took him to the nearest convenience store.

She bought him a few things that would last him a week.

She was sad to have used her money then but didn't regret it.

As they were walking Harper nudged Lavender. "Hey wasn't that money for your mom's expensive gift?"

Lavender just shrugged it off. She knew he needed it more than her.

They walked off without knowing that they were being watched.

Lavender got home safely. She opened the door to smell the delicious sent of bread.

She found herself hovering towards it. She was so hungry because she walked home.

Her mother told her to go and wash her hands before helping her.

Lavender did as she was instructed and went to wash her hands. She began baking with her mother.

They had fun baking together and after they were done lavender was allowed to take two stuffed buns.

Lavender was happy with her life as is. She had a father who was a manager and a mother who was a baker.

She often baked with her mother and also stole a few times.

Her sister was in university so they often didn't meet.

Her sister was in her last year of university and she was in her last year of school.

Even though she was surrounded by beautiful people she was happy with her perfectly normal life.

Little did she know that from that moment on her life would be far from normal.
